ngl I think I'm underrated as well, levels such as "Unnamed 0" and "Nine Circles Copy" are what set me apart from the rest and really elevate me above the competition

Glad to see famous creators like you bringing some light to underrated creators but one creator I think definitely deserved to be in this video is toastlord. You might know him from scarlet smog which is in the GDDP but his best levels called twisted fantasy and astral decay have gone complete under the radar despite both of them being absolutely stunning!

One of the creators that has had a big inspiration on me is cordeaux.they have a very unique and stand out design style so if you do a part 2 it would be awesome to see them fearured

I feel like a good edition to the "underrated creators" list would be mercury btw
I am fighting for small creators to get stars in their levels, it is very frustrating to make a good level and not get stars because your level has 300 views or 3000 and no moderator.
Downloads and likes on your level is one thing, but if no moderators have seen it that’s just your own fault
@@CryoKonk Even if you send it to a mod, there is a possibility that he will send it or not, and that he will receive stars, no matter how good the level is, it is up to robtop to see the list of levels and give him stars.
Believe me I know, I have a level with over 20 moderator sends that's been unrated for almost 3 years now. But the point still stands; it's up to you to make sure that moderators see it, and if they don't decide to send it, crying about the system won't make it better. Either send it to another mod (there are like 100 of them and quite a few have pretty lax standards) or update the level with improvements and send again.

The level got noticed and was good enough and noticed for 20 moderators to send, yet remains unrated for so long. But, oh no, it's not the system, right? Just gotta make moderators notice you and send the level, right? (Even though you literally gave an example of level meeting these criteria and not getting rated) Do you actually read what you write?
Sure, a creator shouldn't just sit and do nothing, they gotta at least try to get it sent, but it's not always on them if the level doesn't get rated, especially if it was sent by a moderator.
Sorry i wasn't clear, not trying to say the system is perfect in any way. I definitely hate that it can meet that many moderators' standards and yet still go unrated. That's a huge problem. What I was saying is that if your level ISN'T good enough to get moderator sends or no moderators see it in the first place, then that's not the system's fault.
What an absolutely awesome video, giving the spotlight to great creators that don't get enough attention!! there are SO many underrated phenomenal creators out there right now that theres probably enough content to make 10 more of these too
I'd like to mention reunomi because a few years ago I discovered one of his levels and pretty much worked my ass off to get people to look at it and eventually I got viprin to notice it and it got featured and that was his first rated level

I hold a special place in my brain for the anesthesia level purely because the idea of art in gd on a level itself was incredible to me, not to say the level was gorgeous and worked well with lockyn's music

honestly ive noticed gd and hk go hand in hand, and after 700 hours in hk and 1000 in gd, the communities also seem closer togerther than they ever have been. silksong is to hk and 2.2 is to gd, and with 2.2 on the horizon, a lot of my focus, and presumably others, will be turned towards the potential release of silksong.
@@SilkGMD holy shit ur right, although I think team cherry will take a lot longer. I mean we havent seen anything about silksong in a long as time (or I have been living under a stone). 2.2 and silksong are similar in "nature" but with 2.2 having a release date it is in a completely different stage

All of these creators are underrated, but some of them still are pretty well known. Yoonsr, RNBW, Matty2003 Viper Arcturus, and Yoreid. I was hoping to see more creators I've never heard of, and am happy I learned about so many, but yeah this list could've included more unknown creators. Maybe the list could've been extended or something idk.

i remember meeting matty back in 2017 in a super small discord server. i haven't spoken to him in 6 years but seeing how insane of a creator he is has me in awe.

A couple somewhat small creator (not neccecarily small, but definitely smaller) are ImMaxX1, and absolutely fantastic effect/design creator that blends them amazingly together, like in Accelerate and Bismuth, and ToastLord, who is just amazing at nailing the feeling of the music in their levels, like in Twisted Fantasy and Astral Decay

That video was great! Im really glad you talked about destrys (whom i have been very honoured to work with). The only underrated creators that come to my mind are actually pretty well known. Such as kwms, cynvic, maelstrom, rehanZ and chunlv1

For me, the most underrated is definitely xiron. He makes INERT, Collab with someone to make Taxi and even creating a level "say it back" and all of his works are so damn cool.

theres this very unknown creator called bli, his stuff is actually not that bad, theres room for imrpovement like a lot but the ideas are actually amazing. he should definitely win some kind of award for that. maybe not something as big as the 10th anniversary awards but at least some sort of award for his ideas. also his level change of scene is amazing, there should be another award jut for that level imo. really cool level, whish morr than like 200 ppl knew about it.

this is an extremely obvious joke, i know that level is awarded for being the most peoples favorite level of all time, and i know he also won the most peoples favorite creator of all time award. he is not the best creator for sure, i just made the joke talking of him since everyone and their grandma knows about him and his level getting thoose awards
There’s an even more unknown one called “Viprin” who’s way better. His collabs kinda suck, but he’s REALLY good at making solo levels

It's a long journey when we are speaking about underrated creators
I would like to talk in this comment about how layouters can be also underrated in GD community. Some of the best levels i saw and played are just, layouts with so good concepts and gameplays that i would never think while im making a level.
They are responsible about the most important aspect of a level for me, the playable part of it. And i see a lot of good layouters here in youtube that get very little views and recognition, i hope more people see them :)
These creators are so cool! And I want to share with my favorite.
My favorite creator is BrainETR. He is doing really cool gameplays and deco that not lagging on my cheap phone. My favorite level is also made by him (CHALK). But I don't think this creator is underrated.

im not big into creators or know that many names but this blew my mind to bajillion bits, like how does someone make a near realistic eyeball with less than 100 objects? how is there a level that plays just like meatboy?? and how did someone break the editor and change a level's framerate???
I'm surprised you didn't include Dolphe. Like that guy's bossfight levels are extremely well-made and imo don't get the attention they deserves, especially his most recent level, Ocellios.

I love dorabae and funnygame's levels, some of the most fun i've had in user levels were in their levels.
"floating outskirts" is just one huge celeste loveletter right? some of the screens look practically ripped right out of it
btw pix is based on a deleted scp glory made for the level called the pixar man which i LOVE
renedi is another really impressive creator people should look out for them some more

I honestly think that Vit12 is a underrated creator, even with a glow style, his glow style is such a unique that, once you know, you can recognise his deco only looking.

Cerufiffy is my favourite somewhat underrated creator. Infact, probably my favourite tbh.

I think that unzor is a very underrated creator. They’re style is very simple and cute but still looks very good. Sunshine and moonlight are both cool levels that you can easily enjoy. Haze n blaze is a fun level too, it’s beginning is basically calmer that any other part of the level and the drop after that is remarkable and later on there’s a fun boss fight.
United is unzors latest level and it’s very cool with the mouse-like creatures helping you along the way.
Unzors Halloween levels are also very fun to play with the Halloween theme surrounding good gameplay.
There’s a lot more good levels from unzor like Les go and Les go 2, but I can’t list it all because smth idk.
But basically, unzor is my favorite creator and underrated

Another Really underrated Creator imo is dreamzoneGD, one thing that really stands out to me is his use of how good he is at using movement in his levels that go well with the gameplay. Feels so cool to play and watching

i like a creator called Philton, he does well with colours (especially rainbow style) but only has 3 creator points.
A really really old inactive creator but I'd say one of the most underrated creators of all time is Ferflappender, they made "Sterio Madness v2" (yes it's misspelled) which was actually the first v2 level, not Neptune's. They also made "Triple S", a popular old level, and "Auto", the most popular level that's featured and not star rated (yes that's a thing).
ZeroSR definitely he has so much talent and I hope he makes it big

A creator that I find underrated and unknown is Styl0, even though he's been innactive for a while. His style manages to both be complex and simple, and I really like it.
