Paddled out on a 5 to 6 ft easterly swell. Amping to show my buddies how good this wave was and how I charged it. First wave take off to dry reef and was calling for mum. Had my leg rope snap, my board halved and my springsuit ripped off. Nearly drowned. Pretty fucken embarrasing but found a bag of weed in carpark which kinda restored any legend status i thought i had. All my surfing stuff destroyed wave 1. dont underestimate Cudgen reefm
@@christianwitthoft5071 needs plenty of swell. The right wind direction and plenty of sand. Which is rare to get all 3 there now. It only works great like 3 times a year

I used to surf it and spear fish there, way on back in the late 80's. Now I live 2 1/2 hrs from Slatters wave pool!
