Also I stopped there a year ago in February of 2023 when I had to go down to Vero Beach from South Carolina where I live now and the Little Deli that was there back in the mid-80s is still there it looks the same and the tuna sandwiches are the same exactly as I remembered.

I was surfing there in 1984 big fast waves breaking right on the beach and there's a rocky bottom and I have a scar on my lower back still from the wipeout. But man those were the days wouldn't trade it for anything in the world

You know this was place with any rideable wave in the area if not state when it was this size. Sebastian would have rideable wave when everyplace else was flat.

Had the best boog sessions in the late 90's, 6ft was all time with a strong Sou' east swell NW wind, heavy wave but makeable most times. Had a gnarly backdoor section to it

Paddled out on a 5 to 6 ft easterly swell. Amping to show my buddies how good this wave was and how I charged it. First wave take off to dry reef and was calling for mum. Had my leg rope snap, my board halved and my springsuit ripped off. Nearly drowned. Pretty fucken embarrasing but found a bag of weed in carpark which kinda restored any legend status i thought i had. All my surfing stuff destroyed wave 1. dont underestimate Cudgen reefm

I’ve surfed ponce actually quite a bit mostly sabatian and up north new smuyrna a lot I had to deal with the sharks they were a lot of them was on beach 3 times when surfer was bit in foot leg and hand just stitcheds nothing more a lot of bull sharks black tips

in the 70's ..... we would surf there if Sebastian was not firing, and sleep in the car in the sand parking lot, go down to Vero for food and gas and return to camp. Now there is a F"ingDisney resort.... shame.
