Good to see you back man, and congrats on the quad catch of Pike! That's insane! But fishing for spawing carp isn't good man, if you ever see them cashing eachother like that then they're definitely spawning.
i'm a heavy angler that also fish street canals on the daily, also. this video is exactly what it feels like to fish here in singapore. the local water authorities will also slap you with a heavy fine if people report you enough. really sucks.
from one urban angler to another, i feel your pain. but keep on casting. it's worth it.

Great video. One thing I think I should point out. The security guy that seemed polite may have been deceiving you. I’m sure he was packing.
You could of used that plastic to take him down. Distract him then wrap it around his head disorienting him and if not suffocating him use your concealed sword to end him finally. I take it you do carry a sword? After all the advice I’ve given you I should bloody hope so.
I’m still enjoying my mini 18th century cannon replica. Granted it takes a while to load but the satisfaction of a sunken barge out weights all the negatives.

Hear me out.
What if... instead of taking the waters for granted and blowing licence money on who knows what, all the owners of these canals would use that money to clean the waters, populate them with fish (as opposed to electrofishing them), and encourage more people to start fishing? Wouldn't that be great?
This is how hunting is managed in the US. Hunting tags are sold every season, and that money is put towards ensuring the deer population is prospering. And hunters have a vested interest in the welfare of the deer, since they want to keep hunting every season. Maybe if more people were into fishing, more people would care about how healthy the fish are, and how clean the waters are kept.
On a different note, this is something I really hate about Europe in general: The vast majority of people think it's ok to restrict other people's freedom for no reason at all. You know, "just in case". Like at 9:17. So what if it's private land? It's next to a public footpath. How can they decide to stop fishing altogether? Seems to me like one should have a really, *_REALLY_* good reason before they're allowed to do such a thing.
Completely agree with you RE the footpath; there should be some kind of law that legalises/decriminalises all fishing on canals like that; if it was built with public money, the waters edge to five feet away on both banks should be PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY - maybe even a ten-foot zone.
If private buildings are already there, then fine, no trespassing inside them, but the canals were built with public money, and their banks should be open to all...
@@NobleKorhedron Once again the US does it right. There are private communities built around public lakes in the US, and as you say, their ground is private but the lake has a band of public land around it where you can go and fish.

Sorry I didn't got what they are talking about, private territory? If the British law have rules that river Bank can be private Territory? Because in Ukraine 50 metres from Bank River or lake it is public territory and cant be private,and you can do what ever you want include fishing
