Great vid again. Gill raker broken before. I once caught a Bass that broke its gill raker on a rock on the way in. It blead like hell. Kept it to eat as didnt want to put back like that but obviously than can survive it.
I believe those two guys have been there at least once in early November. Hard to tell in the dark but last time was one guy on carp and the other on pike. The carp guy would also throw lures while waiting for a bite.
I caught two small Jacks that day (and I mean tiny, about 1 1/2lb each only lol) on lures, in exactly the spot your standing beside the cut.
One of your mates (I don't remember his name - the Polish gent) that is always night fishing for carp at that spot, told them where your zander was caught. I think that may have been where they were heading.
History doesn't get repeated as a standard when fishing (unless it's carp or stockies) especially not here of all places. I wouldn't be surprised if they've given up for good already on the search for any fish, because it isn't like my zander is going to be waiting in that same spot to greet people just because I happen to have caught it there 🤣 the logic people use when it comes to this stuff can be amusing.
Dude not having a pop but set your landing net up before you cast just never know if you put your bait on the pikes nose if your mate hadn't been there you would struggled but anyway still really enjoy your channel and Merry Christmas 👍👍
Love your vids Orlando as I can't myself fish for pike now. I know some spots on London canal west side that some very big pike hang out during summer. Good luck on hitting a 30plus one day.
The broken gill raker is almost definately before your capture. I actually had the same thing a couple of years ago with a pike of the same size, fish looked absoultely fine so dont worry. As you said, if it was you that had broken it, it wouldve been bleeding like hell!
And that's why you wear pike gloves, I feel for you, its happened to all of us.

@@AbidHussain-wt1lb I know a mate that had hes had stuck in a pikes mouth and than the pike locked jawed him, had to have the fish surgically removed

I have been at most of your fishing spots in 2016 by foot on my day off but saw very few anglers few tacle shops and I couln't figure out London fishing on my own.
