Very interesting because I made almost the same thing entirely in 3D software. I had the map, the plane and some pointers already modeled so the animation took me a few minutes. Of course if you are not familiar with 3D animation, DaVinci Resolve is an excellent choice. Thanks for the tutorial, as always, very useful 👍👍👍
depth of field would be great to see in this animation. Sadly, in davinci resolve we can only choose between shadow and depth of field in 3d fusion. Did you found solution to combine that two effects and use them both? This would be amazing animation
You can enable the Z channel for rederer3D node, add a depthblur node, and keyframe the Focal Point parameter to achieve the depth of field animation. There is an example of using depthblur node in this video: ruclips.net/video/TFm7SlhG9TU/видео.html
Thank you very much for all your tutos series. Very instructive. @Essential Video Editing are you open to next tutorials suggestions ? I would like to use Davinci Resolve for editing tutorials videos and it would be nice to be able to add some key shortcuts on the screen when needed. For example, if I have to tell user they need to press CTRL + C, it would be nice not only writing it but using some kind of boxed key stroke like real keys on keyboard. Do you think it is possible ? Not by an image but with an asset that just need text edit.
hi, thank you for tutorial. Q: Is possible to animate Camera3D Target pint connectet to Polyline path? For example- i want to change the end of path from Chicago to Orlando with automatizate Camera3D path also
Not sure what you mean by connecting to polyline path, but both target point and camera3D are animated in this tutorial, you can always change their path if required.
Great tutorial as always, but I have a questtion. Do you have a tutorial on how to highlight and magnify areas? As you did at 4:24 to show us what settings you change.
Thank you, you can check my other 2 videos of magnifying and projection of areas: ruclips.net/video/eB9vGKl2fGs/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/wtznwl5qjC0/видео.html
I got lost on step one: getting the map, lol. How do you get that map? I went to google maps and see annoying button links on the top, the layers button on the bottom-left, the zoom button on the bottom-right, etc. And I can't save the map. When I right-click, the menu that comes up does not include saving the image.
I simply take a screenshot of google map, you can turn off all labels in the google map, hover your mouse over the little layers box at the bottom left, util you see additional options, then click the more button, uncheck the labels option.
Great great tutorial. Thank you, beautiful Travel map, but i have a question: When i make a Curve line between two City's i am missing somethings. The color of the Curve to changing! What can i do?
You can change the color at anytime, if a line is already drawn with a color you don't like, you can always go to the Modifiers tab in Inspector, find the stroke in question, and you can change the color there.
I could listen to your voice all day!!!
i hope you grow as no one did before!
Thank you for your kind words😊
Thank you, really very explanatory, straightforward, and objective video, the best I've found so far on the subject!
Wow, thanks! That's great to hear! Cheers!
Great work! Thx
Oh my god, I learned SO MUCH from this one tutorial!! Thanks!
You're very welcome! I'm so glad to hear that, thanks!
Looks so easy. It will take me like 5 hours to do it...But thank you for this one !
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you very much! Clear, straightforward, helpful information. And, very important to me, a very sympathetic voice :-) Great!
You're very welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks, you're right, DaVinci Resolve is a very powerful tool, the potential is limitless, even with the free version🙂
That stuff blows me away! Brilliant tutorial! BTW Who s behind this channel?
Thank you very much!
Great 👍
A really great tutorial utilizing DaVinci Resolve 3D.
Many thanks!
Awesome tutorial will take a bit of trial and error to replicate but looking forward to putting it to practice. Thank-you!
Thanks, enjoy!
Wow thanks for all this material

@@EssentialVideoEditing you're davinci goat thank you
Cool
Thanks!
Can I have the link to that exact map, I would like to duplicate the tutorial just as you outlined..
Thank you, everything is cool and clear....
You're welcome! Glad you like them!
Nice effect. Thank you!
Thank you too!
I keep coming back, again and again, and again, to your awesome tutorials. So easy to follow... Thank you so much.
That's great to hear! Thank you!
Great work! Thanks for this wonderful tutorial.
Would you please address me where did you get those maps?
Thanks, I just took the screenshots of Google Maps.
how can I bend the image horizontally? when i hit y axis it does not do what i want and z axis doesnt even do anything...
Are you referring the Bender3D node? You may need to adjust the angle as well to achieve what you want.
Great tutorial, trouble is who's going to purchase my plane ticket so I can implement this? 🤔🤭
At the end of the video, the map indicator rotates.
The video has no explanation.
Please tell me how.
It's done by keyframing the rotation Y parameter of the text 3D node.

I use a keyboard font to show the shortcut in my video, like in this video around 7:30, which is bascially a text title.
@@EssentialVideoEditing Thank you for your answer :)

i can't find the web symbols liga anywhere
You can google it online, download and install it on your machine.
Trying it on iPad but its so hard probably it wont even work. I have fusion but still
Sorry, I don't have iPad version, not much I can say about that.
How can I add my own fusion clip in Toolbox Titles??
you can create a macro template from your fusion comp, you can check one of my videos: ruclips.net/video/HIjgJZQVmRE/видео.html
@@EssentialVideoEditing Thank You
Davinci resolve is so difficult to use!
It seems difficult at beginning, but once get the basic concept, it's similar to any other video editors. It's very powerful, and it's free.
