I have no idea how Dragon Quest did it, but I am jealous. Dragon Quest games are amazing.
Thank god for PC edition, at least it might be possible to mod the music & more!
I'm wishfully thinking that it's possible for modders to get their hands on those high-quality 3D Models (those used in the opening cinematic) and use it in-game!

I preordered the Lost Time edition (which comes with the orchestrated OST on CD) but I can't use the orchestrated OST in game? Where is the logic behind this?

Dragon Quest fans prefer the other style of music.
That’s literally the reason they don’t use the better music.
I know this because this came up when the Dragon Quest Heroes game came out.

Vitor Lehmkuhl doubt it. its most likely just a port of the ps4 version. the 3ds version worked fine because it had 2 screens.

Jon Prz - 2 screens mean nothing, look at "The World Ends With You" mobile port, they turned into into one screen format which will be the port for Switch. SE can find a way to make it work if switch version would do that as well.
My guess they’ll put it in the Switch version or double the features for it to make up for it, Nintendo’s cool like that.
Dysth Ymia he's talking about how on the top screen it was a 3d game and the the bottom screen it was the old school 2d so the 3ds basically had 2 versions a 3D and 2D version

Music sounds like a bad national anthem in a SNES sports game.
That's the Dragon Quest March, part of every trailer, so you can't really change it. Wish they would re-orchestrate it though.
Battlefield had a perfectly good theme song, they still ditched it for some reason.
Theme songs aren't unditchable.
Yeah, but DraQue is a 32-years-old, very conservative saga. You won't ditch this theme so easily, believe me x)
