This is a sick idea, the one thing I would change is to make the “Grand Prix” a story mode Here is my take on it: Profesor E Gadd creates a new Time Machine to try to have some racing fun from the past, but then Bowser swoops in to steal it, in this process, Bowser breaks it and it sends everyone into an alternate dimension where the story will take place. Completing a cup will give you a piece of the machine, gather all pieces of the machine and E Gadd will fix the machine and send everyone home
A story mode would be cool, but separate from the Grand Prix. Maybe there's a way you could turn the Mission mode into a story mode. Mission levels make more sense for parts of your story than grand prix cups. The bosses could be all the koopalings and they'd give you the pieces after defeating them in whatever challenge their boss mission is.
This idea may never happened but if it does Nintendo needs to hire you for it they can make millions maybe even billions of dollars with this crazy idea
@@BrokenG-String Fr. I don't want to replay the games. MK8 Deluxe boosted itself over MKDS in my books with the DLCs. They listened to the community for once and balanced the game so you can now use almost every character and stay competitive.
I really like the concept. However I would be glad if Mirror was removed in favor of Reverse, Trick, and Reverse/Trick though, and that's half the cups you need to complete there. Reverse and Trick are way more interesting than doing the same thing but mirrored.
I actually came up with an idea where Mirror, Reverse, and Trick could all be combined. Also, I feel it would be a neat idea if, when playing a cup in Reverse mode, the tracks are played in reverse order
Ok, first of all, the praises : this is a really cool concept. Yes, it will definetly never happen, but despite that, you really thought this throught, placing each tracks in each cups and comming up with new cups. I also love the mockup, the constelation-like selection screen is a really neat idea. Your Nitro suggestions are cool (lthought I kinda prefer mine ^^). Finaly, great improvement suggestion to online, although I would've replaced the score system with a Ranking system, which is way better imo. (Also, I appreciate you marking the Tour non-cities as Switch track) Now, the nitpicks/things I'do differently : 1) I'd remove every ArcadeGP content. Now don't get me wrong, arcades have some really good tracks, but they are simply not mainline. 2) to somewhat compensate the removal of the Arcades, I'd ad 2 cups of nitros. Considering the ammount of retros, a bit more nitros, kinda like the bonus cup from the og 8 dlc wouldn't hurt. 3) I'd remove the trick variant. It works well in tour, but with console's physic, I doubt that it would work properly. 4) I love the idea of having console related campaing, with a limited item roulette, however, I wouldn't go to the point of downgrading graphics and butcher gameplay elements. Leaving the track as is ould stll provide replayability, while not giving the devs much work. 5) Figure 8 Circuit in the shell cup, change my mind X) Overall, this is an awesome concept ! Awesome ideas. I do have a couple issues with it tho. 2048 tracks is far too many for a main campaign. Removing the mirror trick and reverse sections should limit this. I also don’t think essentially having all the other games inside this game would be a good idea as it makes going back to play the original games redundant. A smaller complaint I have is I don’t think grouping the Bowsers Castle and Rainbow Road by game in the main campaign is a good idea. I’d much rather see them have different games for each cup (Wii Bowsers Castle and DS Rainbow Road for example) Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of Mario Kart Ultimate but its just I would change a couple things. All in all great video and love your style of humour. ❤
2048 is the amount of cups. The amount of races is 16384 if you get first place in every single one. But that's just on 50cc. If you want to beat the whole thing on every cc. That's 65536 races where you get first every single time to complete the whole thing. And that's just grandprix. This isn't taking account the time trials or the mission mode or even battle mode.
These concepts would attract A LOT more people to play the game, seeing their favourite old tracks return, new ones and lots of new game modes, and the editing on this video is amazing, and you deserve more appreciation for your work
Insane idea, the only thing i would change is to make a secret cup when you win all the others on 200cc at first place with 60 points, as you do on NSMB.
Honestly, if the next entry can be better than 8 Deluxe, I think we’re still on to something. Having an Ultimate game does seem a bit much, but there are a lot of ideas that can be used, which I really like, it keeps it from being just the same thing!
13:00 my idea for mission mode is for it to be broken up into timed “seasons” each containing 8 or so levels. Everytime you finish a mission your time would be submitted to an online leaderboard. The players with the top score by the end of each season would receive some kind of ingame reward. You would still be able to play previous season’s missions but your time would not be added to the leaderboard.
I feel like after you complete all the Cups there will be a all star mode where you have to play all the tracks in order by time released yeah that will take forever but the reward you get is worth it
I think you should put a spreadsheet or something that shows the unlockables in the description (not including tracks since I think they'd be unlocked alongside the cups they're in) Also I love the concept you have, I'd be super excited if this does become a thing :)

This actually sounds like it could be reality, and, if it does, I would LOVE to play it! The next thing on your list for this is to have music for all the courses, and reuse music for multiple variations of the same track (Such as SNES Mario Circuit 1-4, GBA Bowser Castle 1-4, and so on), while different music would be used for different tracks (All the different variations of Rainbow Road, for example, have different themes!). I do recommend finding people who have remixed the songs you want to be used before and using them, but if you want to, you can compose your own music for the tracks! Best of luck for this to be a reality, and, if you compose your own music, best of luck for that, as well!
A good idea for a track would be one one where you would drive through a test track and do like suspension tests (which you could trick off of), handling tests and environmental tests.
To be fair this would indeed be the perfect mario kart game. Just like you said it would give many reasons to replay the game. Just like the current dlc of mario kart 8 deluxe brought so many players back to play the game again. With this game you desinged it would not feel boring to replay every level since you will jave a reason to enjoy to play it. You make the desision to replay moo moo medows in reverse becaus it would be fun and something new. Also a new gimick for mario kart 9 or something could be a pitstop. I'm totally agree with all your concepts ! I'm just sceptical about weekly events, I prefer an event without limit of time, to play it when we want, and to unlock content when we want too. Not fan either of specific items between characters, I prefer an option where you can activate or desactivate exclusive items for characters ! For online I want add this : can choose the speed between 50/100/150/200 in online, can choose between normal, reverse, trick, mirror, 2 of them, or the 3. And to be in online only with players who have choose same options as you. For example if I want 50 cc reverse trick mirror I play against players who have the same selection. We can choose one selection, or several, or all without preferences, or select % of drop, for example if you prefer 150 and 200 but like also 50 and 100, can choose to have 40% to have 150, 40% to have 200, 10% to have 50, 10% to have 100, like Super Smash Bros Ultimate with musics ! In online, can choose if you want to be in a lobby with 3 choices and a random choice like MK8/MK8D, or in a lobby where you can choose the track you want between all, like MKW. For solo, same thing in time trial, can choose the version of the map you want TT, to have still 150 and 200 but also 50 and 100. Also to have reverse, mirror, trick, normal, can choose normal, one of options between reverse trick mirror, can choose two of them, or can choose the 3. With obviously all the 50/100/150/200 cc ! And also two choices : play with all the same stats in all vehicles, so people can choose whatever they want, without fear to not be able to win a race because "no meta", just skill matters ! Or to choose play with the stats specific of all players, vehicles, etc, to have the base game, the "vanilla" game. Can choose races in VS Mode not by a range of 4 but one by one. And have an "infinite" option. Race without end. For tournaments same thing, can choose the time of the tournament not in a range of 30 minutes, but 1 minute, or even 1 second. I have many others ideas for this game but I think with this, we already have an huge base ! And why not an editor of tracks ! Like Super Mario Maker 1 and 2, like TrackMania for example ! It will be incredible !
I've been thinking on a similar idea. Great concept. It's ambitious, but in a perfect world, we would get all previous tracks from past games, reworked and revamped. Tour made some cool changes to some tracks but, especially on GBA tracks, they got criminally shorter and safer, which is something that should be checked out, but I see highly unlikely as the only way I can possibly see them bringing back all courses is to take shortcuts and just import the tracks from Tour. We would all buy the next Mario Kart game, even if it's just another game with 8 cups, like the base games were before. That's easy money for Nintendo. I don't think we will ever see a concept as ambitious as this, but man, I sure want to dream. Talking specifically about your video... playing the game multiple times in more than 2000 marginally different ways just to unlock characters sounds like a pain to go through. What I thought about by working on my own idea, and basing it on other ideas, like one video on the perfect Mario Kart Roster, is to have the characters be unlocked in easy ways, but many of them will have costumes that you need to unlock by going into the campaigns. That way you can have the regular roster without much pain, while also having an incentive to play the game in many ways. The same for wheels and body parts. My philosophy is: Basic options should be easy to unlock, but cosmetic changes should be reserved for those who put on the time. But overall, a great video. This inspires me. my idea for an ultimate is a huge open world mario game that mixes aspects from 3d world, odyssey and mario kart, where you can play as every mario character in history, and drive the karts from all mario kart games around the world. the world would consist of different biomes to show each of the themes of mario such as choco land, sherbet land, cheese land, neo city, mushroom land etc. where you can travel between all of them, including oceans for the islands and travel to rainbow roads, sky gardens so on. and all tracks from each theme from every mario kart game would be dotted around each area so you can drive around, and then when you want you can go and race on them. with a campaign so you can play grand prix, and also include a story mode that mixes up super mario bros and others with a story line, with cinematic similar to fortnite. bring back every track from mk history in updated and hd graphics, with modern mechanics and aspects from mk8 and mk7. it’s a massive reach i know, but rebuild every game from the ground up in mk8 style and have them all in one place where you can switch between them all. that would be a dream to have a game like that❤️

This is amazing! If you make a part 2 then I suggest adding pikachu, lucario, roserade, gardevoir, cinderace and some other pokemons as playable characters. It makes sense to have these pokemons as playable characters as there was a Pokeball Cup with a Pokemon course in it.
In my opinion, something I’ve been wanting in Mario kart is a Battle Race Mode, so just like a normal race, but with Balloons (3 or 5 I don’t know, it’d probably have to be 5 because of how many items can be used in a race) so it’d work like a race, but the balloons would work exactly like in battle.
We can actually make mk ultimate with tour files. Basically, we get the freshest dumps of the game, making the engine based on MKT or whatever Mario Kart and then just porting tracks with updates when Tour gets new tracks. Kaboom, perfect Mario Kart game. We can also have skins and such, based on MKT, so yeah
I think if you made the game fun enough there would be no need for a trick version, saving a lot of space for the other ideas. Also, what would the mini - turbo be for bikes and karts, and what would the mechanics for bikes be?
I’m so happy you didn’t add a bunch of unrelated Nintendo characters and call it “Nintendo kart” I’d rather have Mario kart stay as Mario kart. With the occasional guest star character. It would make them feel so special! I could definitely see captain falcon being added to Mario kart 9! Or even ROB in the booster course pass! But just please Nintendo, keep it super mario themed!
What I would love to see for a Mario Kart game (since every game has its hook) is a game or mode based around actual race car or I should say race kart dynamics. Similar to say Gran Turismo but keep it light and fun. I would love the acceleration to be tied to pressure sensitive triggers which may be an issue since they aren’t a feature on current Nintendo controllers. Aye, a man can dream
My one problem is the grand prix tree. It looks really clunky to navigate and play all of them. Imagine trying to get first in all of them and not realizing that you missed one because you had to look at every prix in that mess. To clean it up, I'd be okay leaving out some remix courses and the like, so we have all the unique, original courses. I also think the tree should be designed by a UI/UX designer or something. Seems like that may help. Now that I'm thinking, it kind of seems weird that you have to beat the base campaign mode to unlock all the other grand prixs. I think there could be a much better unlock system. Sounds like it'd be an absolute nightmare actually beating the game and unlocking stuff you actually want. Final note is a question: would there be a double-dash mode, where you pair up in your karts?
i feel like a mario kart ultimate is one of the only logical things nintendo can do next. after tour and 8dx,both having soooo many tracks, it would be fantastic to have a game that combines every track ever made! i really like your concepts, especially the reverse/trick options since they are soooo cool to have! and i came up with a potential idea to expand on mission mode. maybe have it be a story mode where you have to go through multiple worlds and complete each track. basically the worlds would be open world driving and would have themes like snow world, desert world etc. and they'd have tracks fitting for the theme in them. so a snow world could have GBA snow land, Wii DK Summit etc. in it. and to complete a track, you have to go through about 3 to 5 missions each, in which you could gather up to three stars, similar to how tour handles that. so imagine being in a snow world, finding the entry gate for Wii DK Summit and a menu pops up with 5 different missions: collect 30 coins, do as many tricks as possible, drive through the gates etc. that would be such a good way to implement a story mode, although i feel like it would be a lot next to such a huge campaign :v
I would add every character like Smash Bros Ultimate. has. I would also make it so that no matter what character you use it doesn't affect the stats, that would be left for glider kart wheels etc. You could still have some combinations there good for speed, or that are good for acceleration, but the idea is online matches wouldn't be dominated by one character (cough*waluigi)
Four things about this 1: Teleportation isn't a good gimmick since it could only be added to new stages and not old stages. 2: I don't think making the arcade tracks like the city tracks is a good idea since they have different names. The ones with different cosmetics would be cool, though. 3: Some character exclusive items are given to everyone in Tour so it would feel weird if a Tour player saw Bowser use a Bowser shell as an exclusive item. 4: Is Shrek playable?
I’m not so sure about that campaign idea. It would take way too much time to complete. However, I do think we should get a Mario Kart game where we play through the original tracks first and then play the SNES tracks and so on after completing each group of tracks from each game.
The hot potato battle would probably need to be tweaked to have an actually battle. Maybe everyone starts with a couple points and the person who gets electrocuted loses some while everyone else gains some and the person with the highest score wins the round.
A lot of features the Mario kart series already has could reduce the hours and hours of grinding, such as if you complete 150cc, it auto completes 50cc and 100cc. In this case I wouldn't mind having 200cc do the same for 150cc. Difficulties I dont think fit well, as I thin they should shift depending on how good the layer is doing or dependent on the cup you're in. I like the idea of a railing system for cup selection, but to be real it would be more solar system looking as of something like Mario galaxy if they did go with that concept. Instead of a unique game campaign, I can see the sound effects just changing with the level its game originates from like how Animal Crossing and Yoshi's island works. I was surprised to see there wasn't a store section in this video rather a point unlock system. In my eyes I'm not too keen on the galaxy ui for a campaign. Instead of campaign the mode could be renamed from Grand Prix to World Prix and have the base mk ui with it branching out cups like a ripple effect, otherwise they would go the tour route. This would make character unlocking 100% more understandable as you reach the end of the final cup for each line. For battle mode a score attack could be added as well as a coin runner mode where you race on normal tracks either preforming the most tricks or obtaining the most coins as a side battle mode option. Mission mode would make better sense as a campaign mode and for beating it you would unlock the characters with gold skins, kind of like how you get a gold part for each section you complete in mk8. I got so many ideas myself from this video it would honestly be an hour long brainstorm. But non of the less this video fills 50% of what I was thinking for an ultimate mariokart.
One thing I feel like is missing is a "Create A Cup" or cup presets from the streetpass mode of MK7. Just instead of it being streetpass only you can publish them online or play them offline.

I honestly kinda hope they just keep adding onto Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but this is definitely a great idea, and if Mario Kart 9 is ever made, I hope it is like this. Just one big game with everything like Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Also, since this game is almost a decade old, it kinda makes me wonder if Nintendo has secretly been working on a HUGE MarioKart game like this, and they've just been keeping MarioKart 8 and Tour alive to make people happy without a new game yet.
They could do the same thing as team sonic racing having story mode as a very long campaign to unlock everything like make specific story mode levels unlock characters or race them like battling them in smash bros ultimate world of light you beat them and you unlock that character for Grand Prix and story mode. They might be using the dlc to give them time for the next Mario kart to be released with the next console.
I'm guessing for reverse mode you'll go on the racetrack backwards not sure how that will work but I feel like it's possible if you somehow designed the racetrack in a way you can actually do it but still I feel like it's a great idea

I really like the concept. However I would be glad if Mirror was removed in favor of Reverse, Trick, and Reverse/Trick though, and that's half the cups you need to complete there. Reverse and Trick are way more interesting than doing the same thing but mirrored.
I actually came up with an idea where Mirror, Reverse, and Trick could all be combined. Also, I feel it would be a neat idea if, when playing a cup in Reverse mode, the tracks are played in reverse order

As someone who is currently making a Mario Kart project, this is really fantastic. The work you've put in was amazing. Keep up the good work.
Ok, first of all, the praises : this is a really cool concept. Yes, it will definetly never happen, but despite that, you really thought this throught, placing each tracks in each cups and comming up with new cups. I also love the mockup, the constelation-like selection screen is a really neat idea.
Your Nitro suggestions are cool (lthought I kinda prefer mine ^^).
Finaly, great improvement suggestion to online, although I would've replaced the score system with a Ranking system, which is way better imo. (Also, I appreciate you marking the Tour non-cities as Switch track)
Now, the nitpicks/things I'do differently :
1) I'd remove every ArcadeGP content. Now don't get me wrong, arcades have some really good tracks, but they are simply not mainline.
2) to somewhat compensate the removal of the Arcades, I'd ad 2 cups of nitros. Considering the ammount of retros, a bit more nitros, kinda like the bonus cup from the og 8 dlc wouldn't hurt.
3) I'd remove the trick variant. It works well in tour, but with console's physic, I doubt that it would work properly.
4) I love the idea of having console related campaing, with a limited item roulette, however, I wouldn't go to the point of downgrading graphics and butcher gameplay elements. Leaving the track as is ould stll provide replayability, while not giving the devs much work.
5) Figure 8 Circuit in the shell cup, change my mind X)

Awesome ideas. I do have a couple issues with it tho. 2048 tracks is far too many for a main campaign. Removing the mirror trick and reverse sections should limit this. I also don’t think essentially having all the other games inside this game would be a good idea as it makes going back to play the original games redundant. A smaller complaint I have is I don’t think grouping the Bowsers Castle and Rainbow Road by game in the main campaign is a good idea. I’d much rather see them have different games for each cup (Wii Bowsers Castle and DS Rainbow Road for example)
Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of Mario Kart Ultimate but its just I would change a couple things.

2048 is the amount of cups. The amount of races is 16384 if you get first place in every single one. But that's just on 50cc. If you want to beat the whole thing on every cc. That's 65536 races where you get first every single time to complete the whole thing.
And that's just grandprix. This isn't taking account the time trials or the mission mode or even battle mode.
These concepts would attract A LOT more people to play the game, seeing their favourite old tracks return, new ones and lots of new game modes, and the editing on this video is amazing, and you deserve more appreciation for your work

Having an Ultimate game does seem a bit much, but there are a lot of ideas that can be used, which I really like, it keeps it from being just the same thing!

13:00 my idea for mission mode is for it to be broken up into timed “seasons” each containing 8 or so levels. Everytime you finish a mission your time would be submitted to an online leaderboard. The players with the top score by the end of each season would receive some kind of ingame reward. You would still be able to play previous season’s missions but your time would not be added to the leaderboard.
I feel like after you complete all the Cups there will be a all star mode where you have to play all the tracks in order by time released yeah that will take forever but the reward you get is worth it

This actually sounds like it could be reality, and, if it does, I would LOVE to play it! The next thing on your list for this is to have music for all the courses, and reuse music for multiple variations of the same track (Such as SNES Mario Circuit 1-4, GBA Bowser Castle 1-4, and so on), while different music would be used for different tracks (All the different variations of Rainbow Road, for example, have different themes!). I do recommend finding people who have remixed the songs you want to be used before and using them, but if you want to, you can compose your own music for the tracks! Best of luck for this to be a reality, and, if you compose your own music, best of luck for that, as well!
10 worlds for Mission mode, with 8 levels each(7+BOSS) and you can unlock characters along the way.
A good idea for a track would be one one where you would drive through a test track and do like suspension tests (which you could trick off of), handling tests and environmental tests.

To be fair this would indeed be the perfect mario kart game. Just like you said it would give many reasons to replay the game. Just like the current dlc of mario kart 8 deluxe brought so many players back to play the game again. With this game you desinged it would not feel boring to replay every level since you will jave a reason to enjoy to play it. You make the desision to replay moo moo medows in reverse becaus it would be fun and something new. Also a new gimick for mario kart 9 or something could be a pitstop. I have always wanted to see it happen since they do exsist in mario stadium (mk8)

I'm just sceptical about weekly events, I prefer an event without limit of time, to play it when we want, and to unlock content when we want too.
Not fan either of specific items between characters, I prefer an option where you can activate or desactivate exclusive items for characters !
For online I want add this : can choose the speed between 50/100/150/200 in online, can choose between normal, reverse, trick, mirror, 2 of them, or the 3. And to be in online only with players who have choose same options as you. For example if I want 50 cc reverse trick mirror I play against players who have the same selection. We can choose one selection, or several, or all without preferences, or select % of drop, for example if you prefer 150 and 200 but like also 50 and 100, can choose to have 40% to have 150, 40% to have 200, 10% to have 50, 10% to have 100, like Super Smash Bros Ultimate with musics !
In online, can choose if you want to be in a lobby with 3 choices and a random choice like MK8/MK8D, or in a lobby where you can choose the track you want between all, like MKW.
For solo, same thing in time trial, can choose the version of the map you want TT, to have still 150 and 200 but also 50 and 100. Also to have reverse, mirror, trick, normal, can choose normal, one of options between reverse trick mirror, can choose two of them, or can choose the 3. With obviously all the 50/100/150/200 cc !
And also two choices : play with all the same stats in all vehicles, so people can choose whatever they want, without fear to not be able to win a race because "no meta", just skill matters !
Or to choose play with the stats specific of all players, vehicles, etc, to have the base game, the "vanilla" game.
Can choose races in VS Mode not by a range of 4 but one by one. And have an "infinite" option. Race without end. For tournaments same thing, can choose the time of the tournament not in a range of 30 minutes, but 1 minute, or even 1 second.
I have many others ideas for this game but I think with this, we already have an huge base !
And why not an editor of tracks ! Like Super Mario Maker 1 and 2, like TrackMania for example ! It will be incredible !
I've been thinking on a similar idea. Great concept. It's ambitious, but in a perfect world, we would get all previous tracks from past games, reworked and revamped. Tour made some cool changes to some tracks but, especially on GBA tracks, they got criminally shorter and safer, which is something that should be checked out, but I see highly unlikely as the only way I can possibly see them bringing back all courses is to take shortcuts and just import the tracks from Tour. We would all buy the next Mario Kart game, even if it's just another game with 8 cups, like the base games were before. That's easy money for Nintendo. I don't think we will ever see a concept as ambitious as this, but man, I sure want to dream.
Talking specifically about your video... playing the game multiple times in more than 2000 marginally different ways just to unlock characters sounds like a pain to go through. What I thought about by working on my own idea, and basing it on other ideas, like one video on the perfect Mario Kart Roster, is to have the characters be unlocked in easy ways, but many of them will have costumes that you need to unlock by going into the campaigns. That way you can have the regular roster without much pain, while also having an incentive to play the game in many ways. The same for wheels and body parts. My philosophy is: Basic options should be easy to unlock, but cosmetic changes should be reserved for those who put on the time. But overall, a great video. This inspires me. my idea for an ultimate is a huge open world mario game that mixes aspects from 3d world, odyssey and mario kart, where you can play as every mario character in history, and drive the karts from all mario kart games around the world. the world would consist of different biomes to show each of the themes of mario such as choco land, sherbet land, cheese land, neo
city, mushroom land etc. where you can travel between all of them, including oceans for the islands and travel to rainbow roads, sky gardens so on. and all tracks from each theme from every mario kart game would be dotted around each area so you can drive around, and then when you want you can go and race on them. with a campaign so you can play grand prix, and also include a story mode that mixes up super mario bros and others with a story line, with cinematic similar to fortnite. bring back every track from mk history in updated and hd graphics, with modern mechanics and aspects from mk8 and mk7. it’s a massive reach i know, but rebuild every game from the ground up in mk8 style and have them all in one place where you can switch between them all. that would be a dream to have a game like that❤️

The mission mode actually has King K Rool as the villain and has all the bosses from the DS and new ones with beating a giant King K Rool at the end unlocks him

In my opinion, something I’ve been wanting in Mario kart is a Battle Race Mode, so just like a normal race, but with Balloons (3 or 5 I don’t know, it’d probably have to be 5 because of how many items can be used in a race) so it’d work like a race, but the balloons would work exactly like in battle.

We can actually make mk ultimate with tour files. Basically, we get the freshest dumps of the game, making the engine based on MKT or whatever Mario Kart and then just porting tracks with updates when Tour gets new tracks. Kaboom, perfect Mario Kart game. We can also have skins and such, based on MKT, so yeah
two things the next Mario Kart game NEEDS is custom lap counts and an SFX menu so you can make the music louder and sounds quieter
I think if you made the game fun enough there would be no need for a trick version, saving a lot of space for the other ideas. Also, what would the mini - turbo be for bikes and karts, and what would the mechanics for bikes be?

What I would love to see for a Mario Kart game (since every game has its hook) is a game or mode based around actual race car or I should say race kart dynamics. Similar to say Gran Turismo but keep it light and fun. I would love the acceleration to be tied to pressure sensitive triggers which may be an issue since they aren’t a feature on current Nintendo controllers. Aye, a man can dream
My one problem is the grand prix tree. It looks really clunky to navigate and play all of them. Imagine trying to get first in all of them and not realizing that you missed one because you had to look at every prix in that mess.
To clean it up, I'd be okay leaving out some remix courses and the like, so we have all the unique, original courses. I also think the tree should be designed by a UI/UX designer or something. Seems like that may help.
Now that I'm thinking, it kind of seems weird that you have to beat the base campaign mode to unlock all the other grand prixs. I think there could be a much better unlock system. Sounds like it'd be an absolute nightmare actually beating the game and unlocking stuff you actually want.
Final note is a question: would there be a double-dash mode, where you pair up in your karts?
Love your idea! Hopefully they can add how many racers you can have and who you can choose who you are against (when playing the computer)

Amazing ideas, but I have one suggestion, alongside mirror, reverse, and trick modes, nintendo could also bring back double dash to go alongside them
i feel like a mario kart ultimate is one of the only logical things nintendo can do next. after tour and 8dx,both having soooo many tracks, it would be fantastic to have a game that combines every track ever made! i really like your concepts, especially the reverse/trick options since they are soooo cool to have!
and i came up with a potential idea to expand on mission mode. maybe have it be a story mode where you have to go through multiple worlds and complete each track. basically the worlds would be open world driving and would have themes like snow world, desert world etc. and they'd have tracks fitting for the theme in them. so a snow world could have GBA snow land, Wii DK Summit etc. in it.
and to complete a track, you have to go through about 3 to 5 missions each, in which you could gather up to three stars, similar to how tour handles that.
so imagine being in a snow world, finding the entry gate for Wii DK Summit and a menu pops up with 5 different missions: collect 30 coins, do as many tricks as possible, drive through the gates etc.
that would be such a good way to implement a story mode, although i feel like it would be a lot next to such a huge campaign :v
I would add every character like Smash Bros Ultimate. has. I would also make it so that no matter what character you use it doesn't affect the stats, that would be left for glider kart wheels etc. You could still have some combinations there good for speed, or that are good for acceleration, but the idea is online matches wouldn't be dominated by one character (cough*waluigi)

Four things about this
1: Teleportation isn't a good gimmick since it could only be added to new stages and not old stages.
2: I don't think making the arcade tracks like the city tracks is a good idea since they have different names. The ones with different cosmetics would be cool, though.
3: Some character exclusive items are given to everyone in Tour so it would feel weird if a Tour player saw Bowser use a Bowser shell as an exclusive item.
4: Is Shrek playable?
I’m not so sure about that campaign idea. It would take way too much time to complete. However, I do think we should get a Mario Kart game where we play through the original tracks first and then play the SNES tracks and so on after completing each group of tracks from each game.

The hot potato battle would probably need to be tweaked to have an actually battle. Maybe everyone starts with a couple points and the person who gets electrocuted loses some while everyone else gains some and the person with the highest score wins the round.

A lot of features the Mario kart series already has could reduce the hours and hours of grinding, such as if you complete 150cc, it auto completes 50cc and 100cc. In this case I wouldn't mind having 200cc do the same for 150cc. Difficulties I dont think fit well, as I thin they should shift depending on how good the layer is doing or dependent on the cup you're in. I like the idea of a railing system for cup selection, but to be real it would be more solar system looking as of something like Mario galaxy if they did go with that concept. Instead of a unique game campaign, I can see the sound effects just changing with the level its game originates from like how Animal Crossing and Yoshi's island works. I was surprised to see there wasn't a store section in this video rather a point unlock system. In my eyes I'm not too keen on the galaxy ui for a campaign. Instead of campaign the mode could be renamed from Grand Prix to World Prix and have the base mk ui with it branching out cups like a ripple effect, otherwise they would go the tour route. This would make character unlocking 100% more understandable as you reach the end of the final cup for each line. For battle mode a score attack could be added as well as a coin runner mode where you race on normal tracks either preforming the most tricks or obtaining the most coins as a side battle mode option. Mission mode would make better sense as a campaign mode and for beating it you would unlock the characters with gold skins, kind of like how you get a gold part for each section you complete in mk8. I got so many ideas myself from this video it would honestly be an hour long brainstorm. But non of the less this video fills 50% of what I was thinking for an ultimate mariokart.

I honestly kinda hope they just keep adding onto Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but this is definitely a great idea, and if Mario Kart 9 is ever made, I hope it is like this. Just one big game with everything like Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Also, since this game is almost a decade old, it kinda makes me wonder if Nintendo has secretly been working on a HUGE MarioKart game like this, and they've just been keeping MarioKart 8 and Tour alive to make people happy without a new game yet.

They could do the same thing as team sonic racing having story mode as a very long campaign to unlock everything like make specific story mode levels unlock characters or race them like battling them in smash bros ultimate world of light you beat them and you unlock that character for Grand Prix and story mode. They might be using the dlc to give them time for the next Mario kart to be released with the next console.
The Smash one is very similar to one of my ideas, although my idea has a "Challenger Approaching" screen before it like in the Smash series

I'm guessing for reverse mode you'll go on the racetrack backwards not sure how that will work but I feel like it's possible if you somehow designed the racetrack in a way you can actually do it but still I feel like it's a great idea

I feel the tour rmx and other stuff from tour would be a cool side thing like beat the regular courses once then it unlocks as a random chance with replay I dont see them if this became real as separate tracks or it'd be it's own mode like mirror mode , 200cc, and so on
