    We need Dr. King's voice more than ever. While some would have us tearing each other apart, we should take his words of peace, unity and social justice to heart. Let us try to understand and emphasize with each other, no matter what class, race, sex, gender or economic status we are in.

      @Mad Planet because its called raising HUMANITY out of poverty, not just think about yourself and only yourself until you die. Why cant people like you just see how evil and selfish your ideas and views are? Why cant you see that all your decisions are made out of fear, prejudice, and just overall illogical. But yea, because id rather take care of everyone better than i take care of myself, somehow im the idiot and the evil one

      @Mad Planet we are one species the human, we share the same home, planet Earth, for thousands of years we've harmed each other, war and genocide when will it end? Love is the answer, learn to love, we are all connected, we are connected to the universe.
      One love.

    I respect MLK and his message. I am a Mexican American. I had the pleasure of growing up and experiencing both cultures. It is a true blessing to have an open window into both worlds. Having grown up this way has expanded my mind to new horizons. I have learned to give to those who have absolutely nothing because I know exactly what they are going through. I have grown to love, respect, and understand alot of different perspectives in this world. A persons actions should determine how a person is perceived and not by where they are from. And one thing I have learned is that no one Land belongs to one ethnic group. We were put on this earth to love, respect, and understand each other. It was inevitable that one day we all had to co-exist.

    MLK, the most misunderstood activist in US history. All we were ever taught about him was social aspect but not the *economic reform* of The March on Washington for *Jobs and Freedom.* That was in '63, did he die in '63? No, he died in '68 ask yourself what he did between that 5 year period. His quote of 'what good is it to be able to attend an integrated school, diners, hotels, if we can't afford the clothes, or luxury of having vacation time.
    The week MLK died, he planed a larger march on washington, this time calling for an *Economic bill of rights* for all poor and working class Americans to live with the dignity of not having to live off the spoils of the upper class. That is the Dr. Martin Lither King!

      We were taught about his social aspects because they were the ones who worked, and what he most frequently promoted. Albert Einstein was a self proclaimed socialist - that doesn't mean we should report on it, given that wasn't his area of profession. Similarly, it makes no sense to teach about MLK Jr.'s economic beliefs in a topic regarding civil rights.

    Oh my goodness! Unbelievable!
    MLK was the closest human to being Jesus to walk this earth.
    I wish I could have heard him speak in person. One regret was the horrible play on broadway NYC that tried to destroy his moral character. It was disgusting! Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson tried to bring class to it, but why was it even allowed. Cedric talked about MLK in movie Barbershop and his career has not taken off like Steve Harvey's.

    Good man, he generated thoughts and emotions above that considered average. He even talked Bible rules of conduct. But any logical truthful program to make life better than the present illusion of Lucifer - Luke 4:5,6/Isaiah 14:12-14 God is allowing, him( to try) to be like Himself. Knowing Isa.46:10 that Lucifer will fail; is a failure. Most of what we see all around us is the illusion/ mental concepts of Lucifer and how he thinks things should be. With the LORD'S over-ruling humanity remains living, and "experience is the best teacher." Dr. Martin was too soon. In that total complete transformation of human society is reserved for a future time - Matthew 6:10 when God thru Jesus , Matt.25:31,32 also through Luke 13:28,29 and the prophets of old will make all things new. It requires the experience 1rst, afterward the ultimate blessing. No more sin No more death, or hate, inequality. God bless

    • @Filmstarindamaking
      @Filmstarindamaking 4 года назад

      I don’t think MLK was playing games at all. He didn’t hear the question, and when it was repeated he quickly agreed that there is ignorance on both sides. Listen to it again. This is a very open and transparent interview rightly stating that their is much work to do on many levels from all forms of governments and organizations for lasting peace and equality to be realized. The work ahead of integration and desegregation was viewed by MLK as so revolutionary that it may in fact take 10 to 15 years to accomplish. He was very hopeful and trying very hard to gain support for this righteous cause. In MLK’s own words: “The time is always right to do right; and “The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” May we all rise to such aspirations sooner rather than later.

    • @veridisquo5164
      @veridisquo5164 6 лет назад

      Mike McNiel Democratic socialism wasn’t a thing back then and isn’t a thing now. Socialism is and never will be democratic. It’s literally socialism with democracy in front of it trying to make it sound good. Also economics wasn’t his strong point. His strong point was civil and social responsibilities. That’s like saying listen to a economist on the war’s involving the U.S. and didn’t do much reading on them. By today’s standards he would be called a right winger maybe not a conservative. More of a libertarian republican because he believed in equality and not payback for something that happened 200 years ago involving no one alive today.

      @veridisquo5164 6 лет назад

      Jack Ban What if I told you times then and now we’re completely different he was not a radical who hated white people and used affirmative action because of the hatred of white people and again economics was not just strongpoint. Read anything I said in my first comment.

    • @veridisquo5164
      @veridisquo5164 6 лет назад

      Jack Ban He also did not have a side in politics. He switched several times from democrat to republican because both promised things and he needed support from anyone willing to help therefore he was more centralist than anything which would not be considered right leaning which is retarded because it’s literally centralism but people say you’re on my side or the other side excluding centralists.
