Nice catch, Zander is eats mostly during this time at night. Smaller the bait fish(10-12cm), most likely you catch one.

Another Dracula fish..... Interesting!...during the day ,I would say...they hang out right under the boats....all predatory fish....like to hang out under structure.....I am guessing in clear water conditions...and bright days.. espically those critters...another reason I strike early rather than late.....a lip hooked fish minimise exposure to sharp teeth...

Yeah fished all my life in urban west London canals Colne night fished on my own met every tipe of nutters junkies best form of defence body language I'm 6 2 give them good eye contact stand tall hand in pocket never had any issues nice one boys
