I am also a fisherman and I catch and release zander in rivers and lakes in Iran.
But unfortunately, some local people are fishing with nets and traps, and worse, release does not mean anything to them, they catch of any size .
For this reason, trophy fish is very, very rare.
And we are happy with the maximum size of 50-60 cm.
I really enjoyed of your catch and release, my dear friend .

And yeah, there are a lot of things to see in Italy, and fish ... but do not come having in mind the zanders ... it’s not a very comune fish and are usually quite hard to find. But there are still some asps and catfishes in here. Cheers ...

@@AnEm_Fishing I use a Korum Barbel Spoon, it's quite deep and you can get a good size fish in there. Keep up the good work with the videos and have a great 2021!!

A cracking zed and well done … with all the comments about net size at least now you know if you go to that spot again at least you know what size net to take. Been in that situation before and I made sure I didn’t make that mistake again ( when perch fishing and all I catch is pike… so I take the big net… next time I go Pike Fishing with the big net and all I catch is perch .. so I take both nets 🤣 .. just to be safe ) . Well done buddy and you sounded well happy … don’t blame you. Congratulations 👍🏽😀🎣

Hey dude, congrats! Great catch! But please, you know there a bigger fish at this spot. So if you dont know how to land the fish, just use a bigger net. Also, please dont put the fish on the dirt. You are a role model and a lot of young kids will see your videos. go ahead and show them the right way! ;)
Hey mate and thanks for the advices. I think that we are fishing in complete different conditions and because of this we see some things completely different.
I walk a lot when I’m going fishing, I search fishing spots and very often I need to walk in the bushes on very narrow path or no paths at all. For these reasons I need to stay as light as I can. So, a bigger net could be a problem … I saw some folding nets that could be interesting. For the same reasons I will not carry with me any landing mattress or something like this. I put the fish in the safest conditions and if I consider that is not safe I just unhook it in the water (see this example: ruclips.net/video/EwSuLiDgd_E/видео.html ) .
I fish for asp and catfish and these two type of fish I know how to handle no matter the size. Fish of this size (as this zander) are not very commune and until now I haven’t got any problems with the net.
Trust me, I do my best to keep the fish as safe as I can and if everybody would do things like I do, our water would be full of fish.

Hey mate. sorry, but it’s impossible to tell you the lure. I brought it 2nd hand in a pack with other lures that interested me. It has no name on it so I can’t give you any information about it. All that I can tell you is that it’s 7 cm long, around 18-20 grams and have no rattle inside. Some users suggested me that it’s a Chinese lure from AliExpress ... and it’s a big chance to be so because it has no name on it. Cheers mate ...

de regula folosesc un fir mono intre 0,3 si 0,35 ... in cazul asta era ceva de la Daiwa. pe langa clasicul fir mono mai folosesc si ceva FC de 0,35 sau chiar 0,4. dar asta de regula cand pescuiesc pe ape limpezi pe timp de iarna ...
In case other AnEm followers want to know what this terrific fish weighed, I just found a chart of the relationship between length and weight in zander caught from a river in England. According to this chart, AnEm's big fish weighed about 16 lbs. (7.25 kilos). What a great catch!

Your research is fault. Whoever measures the weight of the fish according to the length, specifically zander, is in delusion. I caught 49cm zander that had between 2.25 and 2.5 kg, I caught almost 60 cm zanders which barely had 1.5kg. The moral of the story: don't judge the book by its covers, zanders are extremely elusive and genetically variable species according to length is ridiculous. I can tell you right now that zander from the video definetly had over 8 kilos, and it's a fish to remember. I caught a lot of them, but every zander that's larger than 2 kilos is a fish worth jumping in water for.

Great Fish! I have a similar landing net but with a basket 65 cm in diameter. I enter the water in waders and land even 1m+ pike without any problems. I catch smaller fish by grabbing the gill cover.
Thanks mate. This net was the biggest net from that series ... and for most of my fish it’s OK. In the meantime I brought a wider one with a telescopic handle that it’s Ok ... but really big and not OK if I have to walk to my fishing spots. Cheers buddy 🍻🤘

Importantă nu a fost năluca, important e sa ajungi unde sunt peștii și sa le prezinți tu năluca așa cum vor in momentul respectiv. Numai bine ...

Un lip grip nu ar strica.
Mulțam de aprecieri și de sugestie. Am tot timpul agățat de rucsac un lip-grip, și in situații extreme îl si folosesc. Doar ca acel grip face rău peștilor și fac tot posibilul sa îl folosesc cât mai rar posibil. Dacă băgăm gripul in gura șalăului riscam sa ii fac praf gura ... iar eliberarea lui era inutila in acel caz. Merci încă o data și numai bine ...
@@AnEm_Fishing la fel procedez. Eu am unul de plastic, gen cel alb de la rapala..cred că e mai ok pentru gura peștilor când e folosit la nevoie.

Am încercat un grip de genul celui scris mai sus ... îl folosește un amic și părea OK. O sa ma gândesc bine la cea mai buna soluție ... merci de sugestii. Pentru mine e foarte important sa ma pot mișcă in voie cu cât mai puțin bagaj. Numai bine ...
@@AnEm_Fishing total de acord. Partea bună la cele de acel gen e că sunt din plastic, foarte ușoare și plutesc in cazul în care sunt scăpate în apă.

Thanks. As I already said before … I’m not usually fishing for zander. For asp the net that I have it’s more than enough and for the catfish I don’t need any net. I could just stick my hand under the gill of that zander and pull it out, but I didn’t want to hurt it so I can release it in best conditions. If you have any suggestions for a bigger FOLDABLE net feel free to share it with me. Cheers …
