You had a great session there!!! Pay attention to where all the zander were. All near the bank, on a place where the depth rapidly declines. Classic positioning for the high and murky conditions on the river. You could be even more successful if you focused only on that region, especially with a soft plastic lure. Long casts to the deepest regions are just a waste of time on such a day.

hey mate. could look like the water it's packed with zanders but in reality there aren't that much zanders in this river. the timing was good ;). Have you tried the Danube? There are some amazing zanders in there. Thanks and cheers mate ...

@@AnEm_Fishing I think they’re an invasive species that show up in some of the Scottish isles but they are not common atall and we certainly don’t get ones of that size, will be sure to subscribe for more content

About the lures. Most of the time, especially in the winter time, I consider that the lure is just a accessory that can be present where the fish are, and from that moment on, the fisherman is important and his inspiration/experience on presenting the lure to the fish. So, for me it’s important that everybody choose the lure according to their conditions. Anyhow ... I will try in the future to share some opinions about the lures that I use ... why I use them, which conditions and how I think they would be better presented.

Hi. You are on video very often with the 804 NRX. Is this stick lighter? What jig head weights do you use on it?
hey there. Yeah, I use a lot the NRX 804C. I just cut the trigger down and use it like that. It's my favorite rod from what I tried. It's very light (I think that weighs around 100grams, if not a few grams less), sensitive and somehow powerful. I use it with a maximum 30 grams plus the trailer... but works better from 10 to 25 grams. Unfortunately I think that they don't make it anymore, so perhaps will be quite hard to find. cheers mate ...
Anyone talking about the fact that he is using a g loomis nrx baitcast rod (900$ rod) and he is running a spinning reel on it???🤣🤣🤣 i mean come on, dont buy such expensive gear if you dont know how to use it
Hahahaha ... yeah, you’re the only genius. If you have read the description of the video you would see that it’s a casting rod. I just cut out the trigger and don’t care about the first 3 or 4 guides to change them. Stay safe mate ... and chill a little bit 😂😂😂

The river Danube flows with a brutal strenght and we get much less zander what we should...

thanks mate. I'm using in certain condition a lot of lipless crankbaits. I usually fish them as close to the bottom that I can and just make some "jumps". The "jumps" depends on some factors and usually I'm trying different techniques to see if I find what works in that moment. cheers ...

multumesc frumos. in perioada asta e destul de greu cu salaii pe PO dar daca nimeresti locul si momentul potrivit poti avea ceva capturi interesante. Daca pescuiesc pe intuneric la salau, atunci il caut paralel cu malul cu ceva voblere ce nu se scufunda prea mult sau care imi permit liberate in evolutie. As pomeni aici de Sting-ul de la Salmo, la fel si Original Floater de la Rapala, merge si Shad Rap-ul de la Rapala sau chiar Countdown-ul. Ca si dimensiuni ... as merge de la 9 la 12 cm in functie de cum ai chef. Ar fi o gramada de alte naluci dar eu pe astea le folosesc daca pescuiesc in conditiile alea. si ceva de pe la Yo-Zuri dar nu mai tin minte numele lor. numai bine ...

I'm fishing this river for 15 years and I can assure you that lately the size and number of the fish that lives here has declined a lot ... especially the catfish. There are groups that stay on the river for a week without catching any catfish. When, 12-15 years ago they were catching at least one big catfish every night. cheers mate ...

Greetings from Canada. Zander has been introduced to the US state of North Dakota and is now a gamefish there. I'd like to fish for them and eat one someday. I wonder if they'll migrate to Canada. They sound like hard-fighting fish and I understand they taste very similar to walleye since they and walleye are members of the Perch family. Zander is the biggest of the Perch family. Great video. If you’re fishing in lakes I would go for the 0,08 ... if you’re fishing in rivers I would go for 0,1. Right now I’m using a 0,08 but in a couple of weeks I’ll change and go with a 0,1.

A few months ago I brought on-line a lot of second hand lures that contained about 15 -16 lures without a name on them. One of them I use in this video. It's a lipless vibration lure that have 7cm and it's about 18-20 grams. There is nothing special about it and in my opinion any kind of vibration lure (without rattlin') that it's presented in the correct way around them should work OK.

It's quite difficult to speak about the lures because I'm using plenty of different lures (in this period a lot of lipless vibe) and I'm choosing them according to the spot that I'm fishing, at which depth wanna stay and how fast I wanna fish. In this period I'm choosing my lures to stay very close to the bottom so I can bounce them around there hoping that some predator will notice it. cheers mate ...

Per pescare in Italia ti serve una licenza tipo B che in realta e solo un bollettino postale ... in Emilia Romagna costa 22,7 (penso che e uguale in tutta Italia). Nelle mie parti la maggior parte delle acque sono in concessione a FIPSAS, a questo punto devo pagare anche 30 euro per tesseramento FIPSAS ... questo credo che non e uguale in tutta Italia, ma posso sbagliare ...

Yeah, the zanders were there and somehow I hope that they are still there. Thanks mate. Sorry, but it’s impossible to tell you the lure. I brought it 2nd hand in a pack with other lures that interested me. It has no name on it so I can’t give you any information about it. All that I can tell you is that it’s 7 cm long, around 18-20 grams and have no rattle inside. Sorry again ...

Zander crouse around a lot, but they are often on the same spot in a specific time. Mostly early in the morning and late afternoon. They usualy stay on that spot for about 30min to 2 hours ( could be longer or shorter) . Usualy they hunt in groups. So where is one zander, there must be more!😉🎣

@@2029861 Depends on water level, presence of baitfish, water clarity, water flow, presence of structure. A spot that gives today may not give anything tomorrow. Big zanders rarely pair with smaller zanders except for spawning and not even then, the female comes first and leaves first. You will notice even in this vid he caught the bigger one far on the left, while the smaller ones were caught much further on the right. Hope it helps. Cheers.

@@AnEm_Fishing That was some monster. Do you ever see pike. That's our main predatory fish. Pike, feel and marú trout👍
But other than that we don't have a huge variety of fish species
@@deaganachomarunacathasaigh4344 ... I don't have any waters with pike in my area, If I move 200-300 km are some lakes that keep some nice pike. Same goes with the trout ... even though I will love go fishing for some trout in some mountain river ...
