Sri Maharshi did not want any one to be his devotee or He being a Guru to any one. He always insisted one to look within and all other activities are wasteful. He also warned that there is no shortcut for one to realise oneself. He strictly warned some devotees when they sprinkled the water that came out of the bathroom (walls made of coconut leaves) when Sri Maharshi took bath, and told them that there was no use in it. He also said there is no substitute for "Self Enquiry". Videos like this gives us the strength and reassurance to make effort in the lines of what Maharshi preached.
The people around him were fortunate to see him a few feet away . The people now are more fortunate because they kept him in their own heart . No Distance.
