Who Should Have Won EVERY MITB Match?

- The Money in the Bank ladder match is one of the most anticipated matches of the year, every single year. More often than not, the winner of the ladder match is put on a fast track to becoming a World Champion. With over 20 MITB matches in WWE history, I thought why not go back and take a look at every single MITB men's match, and see who REALLY should have won the match each year.

Jeff Hardy as Mr. MITB in ‘08 would have been so special 😞😞
Yup
It would’ve been so cool
We were robbed man 😢
hardy in the bank lol
Unfortunately homeboy crashed out 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Shelton being in 5 of the 6 wrestlemania MITB matches, doing some of the craziest spots imaginable, and NOT ever winning one is insane to me.
Shelton to WM MITB is what Kane is to Royal Rumble,Putting Best Performances yet not winning the match
@@dhruviktandel3860unlike Kane WWE never seen Shelton as world title material during those eras that's reason he never won the match even let we say he wins the match i don't think WWE would've made him and he would've been first mitb failure.
The reason I think Kane never won rumble was because they never see him as main event draw guy at WrestleMania if he had win during 1998 - 2002. 2001 was Kane year but now I understand why he didn't win they only had 1 world title and they don't see Kane as main event material at mania.
Now comes to years where Kane should've won -
2000 Kane should've won since WrestleMania main event was fatal 4 way and he would easily replace big show or Mick Foley.
He should've won in 2003 instead since Brock would've challenged kurt without rumble too but Kane would've replaced booked against triple h.
Kane can't replace any of the world title matches from 2004 - 2010.
Kane should've won 2011 rumble and replace delrio against edge.
Kane should've won 2012 rumble and replace sheamus against bryan
Kane should've won 2013 rumble and replace jack swagger against delrio since John cena don't need rumble to face rock.
Kane was too old and literally can't wrestle after 2014 and he anyway don't win any of those rumble
same with jericho and he invented money in the bank lol lol
Same with Kane in the royal rumbles he has the most ever eliminations I think in total and has been in so many yet never won any…
@@thegameking3931but jack swagger was good enough to be the world heavyweight champion but not shelton smh Then they released shelton smh you act like Race isn't why shelton benjamin never became Champion shekton never main evented WWE wasted him
Kofi was supposed to win MiTB in 2010, but he botched an RKO and Randy yelled, "STUPID! STUPID!"
Literally anyone else in the match would have been a better winner than Swagger
He was supposed to get punt kicked and he forgot about the spot so randy hit kofi with an rko instead
I thought he no sold a punk kick and the randy had to hit a rko after
@@ironic4910he didn’t no sell the punt, Kofi missed his spot so Orton wasn’t able to do the punt
@@gablefanproductions01even drew or Shelton
Imagine Bray cutting promos with the briefcase sitting right next to his rocking chair
That would have been weird
85% chance Bray cashed in and lost to Roman
“Not only is it one of the hardest damn matches to win in the video games…”
Real ones remember trying to get that MITB trophy on Legend in SvR 2007.
1 hour matches. Literally no joke.
Jericho essentially coming up with MITB and never winning is hilarious. You know if someone like Hogan has an idea like that he his DEFINITELY going over
That's the biggest thing about Jericho. He's so real for creating a match type that caught on like wildfire and basically using it to put other people over.
Its a shame because Corbin only lost his briefcase because he argued with a Dr who was downplaying the effects of CTE.
So Corbin got punished for saying "Hey maybe don't downplay CTE"
Pretty stupid thing to do at the time when wwe itself was ima lawsuit because of cte and he’s injuries he is lucky he didn’t get fired
I thought Corbin said CTE didn't exist
Nvm I reread it
Corbin is a former (American) Football player, He would know a lot of things about CTE.
that and jinders feet were under the ropes when he pinned corbin lol lol
You forgot the point out, when Austin Theory cashed in his MITB, it was also an open challenge Seth Rollins had. Dude cashed in his MITB in an OPEN CHALLENGE 😆
Triple h literally made him fool among fools not only by cashing on secondary mid card title and still lose the match but cash in on when there was open challenge for that match
And the triple h fans will defend that shit like it makes sense 😂
@@bytheboat2I loved that felt like a big middle finger to the push Vince was determined to see through for him from the beginning of 2022
@@richborn6700 it definitely was, triple h is a dickhead for that
@@thegameking3931Not only did Triple H make him and his cash-in look stupid, he made the MITB briefcase feel devalued by being cashed in on a secondary title and causing another failed cash-in.
The man who booked peak NXT passed away a long time ago and some impostor has replaced him, and it is reflected in the product to this day.

Why did you say Swagger's government name bruh ☠
Jack swagger was a crazy pick 😂😂😂
The funny thing about that matches literally Anybody Else in that match would have been a better choice than him
@@Slick5150Evan Bourne went crazy in that match 😂
@@javi994Shelton Benjamin should've won the Money in the bank but they chose swagger over him and then they released Shelton smh they used him Shelton was wasted because of his skin color he never saw the main event scene
Jack Swagger was one of the most dissapointing MITB winners
It should’ve been Benjamin or Christian heck I wouldn’t mind if it was Evan winning
Otis too
@@maximusa1364 it's crazy that literally EVERY other person in the match was a better choice of winner than Swagger.
@@gablefanproductions01 its also crazy that Swagger had no development after all those years, he is still very bad
@@gablefanproductions01 like swagger he’s OK wrestler but His promos are so bad
Dude that beginning about the MITB matches being the hardest in the game is way too true 😅
I've always been of the opinion that the worst thing that ever happened to the MITB contract was the idea of failed cash ins.
Because back in 2011, 2010 it was a novel concept because it never happened before. But I knew as soon as someone failed to cash in. The floodgates would open for nonsense. That's exactly what ended up happening.
They started doing things like Damien Sandow, Corbin, Otis, Lesnar etc because there was no longer this expectation that the match or concept was Signal or attempt to make someone a big deal.
They had big plans for someone like Mr. Kennedy back in the day even though it didn't work out. You can't convince me they ever had a plan for Sandow.
The worst thing to happen was they do the same thing over and over
@@pleaseshutup7053the only questionable booking was why did Otis won the mitb briefcase in first place.
People can all say swagger delrio were worst choice but WWE were promoting them in main event scene which failed badly for swagger and delrio has to blame himself.
Same goes to why WWE made baron Corbin, Damien shadow win to have failed cash in.
But why did WWE let Otis to win neither audience see him as world title material and it was clear when he lost to miz out of all people WWE never seen him as world title material infact WWE don't even see him as mid card material because he is jobbing since that day till now
Kennedy was the biggest what if with that briefcase. Edge using MITB to win a title twice wasn't even special that long when Punk did it in the following years. I think the Kennedy McMahon story could have been better than frickin hornswaggle
@@thegameking3931 that’s the problem with wwe you can’t just force someone in the main event scene when they aren’t over yet they will fail every time. Reigns orton both failed their first time in the main event scene. Mitb is so boring at this point. It removes the chase of the world title which is the most important part of a champions reign the build up. Imagine if Cody win mitb and just cashed in and won
@@pleaseshutup7053 Cody will never win mitb with current character because it's ruin his top babyface character just like a heel like Lesnar don't need mitb because his match with Kofi was literally shorter than any mitb match.
If Cody wins mitb than WWE has to do same booking have him challenge the champion beforehand in raw/SmackDown or ple and have 1vs1 match and most chances are he fail like cena with someone interference
Having Swagger to win Money in the Bank was the worst decision WWE ever did.
Him winning world champion prematurely is worse
No it's not lol
Austin turning heel at Wrestlemania 17 was the worst decision.
@@EwanCumianot even close. Austin’s heel turn is actually good, he had a ton of great moments. People just hate on it for some reason.
@@onesaucynougat7471 Austin doing goofy comedy was ridiculous. It was much better when he and Vince were at each other's throats.
Jeff Hardy should’ve won at least 1 MITB match. Given that ladders were his specialty and was loved by all, it’s a massive shame it never happened😭.
He was booked to win at WM24 but got suspended so he can only blame himself really
Part of what made Austin Theory winning the 2022 MITB so ridiculous was that he already lost convincingly to Bobby Lashley in a US title match earlier that same night! He didn't even qualify for the ladder match and was just arbitrarily placed into it at the last minute. After being beaten badly by Lashley, Theory never should have even had a chance in the ladder match.
man an la knight mania cash in would be the biggest pop since 31
Kennedy was actually sad. dude wasn't even injured at all
He was supposed to be Vince’s “son” instead of Hornswoggle
@@javi994 dude was never lucky
@@azzy3640 at least TNA did good with him
He was injured but only 6 weeks not 6 months
@@maximusa1364 Not until Hogan arrived with his friends that ruined his run.
Bray as Mr. MITB would've been fun as hell. May he rest in peace.
Remember folks Swagger was suppose to Cash in on John Cena the Raw after WM26 and hold the WWE Championship until SummerSlam but Cena flat out refused to drop the belt to Swagger so it was pivoted to him holding the World Title till SummerSlam...then his fued with Big Show was so bad Vince pulled the plug on Swagger's push months before SummerSlam...
i love he gives lashley a good excuse but then matt hardy is matt hardy got me rolling
6:15 “Chris Benoit”
😂
I’m not driven by fear just anger
Sami Zayn winning in 2022 and then having the match against Roman at Elimination Chamber be him deciding he's had enough and is officially cashing-in in advance RVD-style would have been special, man.
Really good video bro. Just came across it while on a long ride to New York
Theory was a great choice, it was just how WWE booked themselves in a corner with combining the championships.
If the World Heavyweight title was introduced a year earlier or even just simply having Brock not win the WWE title at Elimination Chamber then Theory cashing in on RAWs world champ would've worked out
It's Vince fault he loves Roman so much
@@stevenjoseph6048the problem is that Vince loves Brock
@@ayhamahmad2277that's why he fails to win secondary mid card title and lost to seth Rollins and you blame it to Vince and roman lol.
No one in their sane mind have taught theory had 1% chance to beat roman Reigns who was treated as final boss of WWE.
Only guy who was supposed to beat him was no.1 face of WWE which was Cody Rhodes other than Cody Rhodes the options where randy, drew, seth, rock and who knows even jey and sami if Cody wasn't in wwe
@@thegameking3931 it's Vince fault he shouldn't give roman both titles to begin with and theory wasn't ready pushed him to fast
2008 Jericho winning would've been awesome, even if the CM Punk 2008 cash-in was one of the better ones. I guess they could've just had Batista win the title from Edge at One Night Stand to have the World Title go to RAW.
Night of champions you mean.
Mr. Kennedy is the most forgotten missed opportunity in the 21st century of WWE.
I think the 2008 money in the bank should’ve been given to MVP or Shelton Benjamin
Austin Theory cashing in on an open challenge is wild
I still feel like I’m the only who thought Damian Priest was the right choice
That cash in was a crazy moment 😂
Really? I mean I was expecting it at the time
Priest was a shocking pick but I was messing with it after it happened
Also, D12 Purple Hills song in the background was the perfect song for Theory 2022 MITB Run
Shelton never winning one, and Finn & Sami not winning one yet is criminal.
You know what I noticed on 10:58 where Paul Heyman is standing behind a mural look who just so happened to be next to him coinciding i think not 😂
A cool bonus video would be a fantasy booking for a money in the bank for the first 20 Wrestlemanias.
i’ve been watching next it’s killer
MITB really has lost its aura. Who thought Theory cashing in on the US title and losing was a good idea? Can’t even blame Vince McMahon as he was out of the company at the time.
Vince really liked Theory and Hunter doesn't so he buried him for a joke
@@leonconnelly5303he wasn't going to win any way against Roman and no body care about him since he wasn't even in the match there were many better options than him
Vince is the one who give him the briefcase to begin with
you should do this but with royal rumble winners since 2000
Nah my boy i HIGHLY appreciate you using a Lox instrumental for the back track in this videos.. kudos bro love your content love WWE and i love the Lox.. respect bro.
THE KING POSTED BEST YT OAT
My picks this year are Tiffany Stratton and Jey Uso.
They should had Corbin do edge thing and win the championship butt to late now
Brock's MITB win feels like it was mostly done because of the disastrous "You are the Authority now!" promo they had all the McMahons do at the end of 2018 and that somehow translating to "us" not wanting to see automatic rematches for former champions anymore, thus Brock's only way of getting another shot at the Universal Title was by winning the magic briefcase. Yea it was pretty stupid. But even so, I thought they could've done more with Brock holding the briefcase and used his part-time schedule to their advantage there. I've always questioned why MITB winners still compete in weekly matches on TV before cashing in. You've got an automatic World Title shot anytime you want it, take a vacation and make it a surprise when you return and cash-in. Brock was the only guy who could get away with leaving for 3 months and using that element of surprise in his favor. But no, instead he was barely gone a month before cashing in on Seth after a mixed tag match.
I'm still amazed they haven't had someone announce their cash-in ahead of time for the next WrestleMania (they tried with Kennedy and Bryan, but never followed through), or had someone cash-in after a Hell in a Cell match or had someone hold the briefcase for a full year and thus be forced to cash-in on the very last day before it expires.
Love you bro. Being a Correctional Officer stresses me tf out and your videos always help me out and remind me of a simpler time during my childhood
Rick Ross, is that you?
Be quiet snitch go tattle on someone else right now. You abuse people for a living
@theitfactorjameswheezer2852 😂😂😂 I live in South Florida too which makes this infinitely funnier to me
This isn’t something to admit in public
@pleaseshutup7053 Why is that? I ain't ashamed of what I do homie.
I personally loved Damian as “senor” MITB but I do get your POV since it would be the biggest thing in LA Knights career and pushed him to the main event picture even faster. Still I think Damian was the right choice in the end since he to me was a guy who needed a thing like it to get an opportunity again, since he had no chance against Roman who had a choke hold on the Undisputed universal championship. He also had been fairly fresh of a WHC opportunity, with no direction afterwards. Plus his match against Bad Bunny really made his win of the briefcase even more impressive since now there was a base of why he could be trusted with it, I mean if you could put on a banger match against someone who was not even a Pro Wrestler and it be considered a match of the year, you deserve a big win. ( Sorry for the rant I just am passionate about how Damian had one of the best moments of his life in the span of the last year and it catapulted him into the main event scene when in the time period he did he had no chance getting into it with all the top talent going after the respective title on each show. )
You know it's a good day when WrestlinGifs uploads a video
this company needs to hire you in terms of booking💯
3:16 bro so mad, he had to drop his Government name 💀
Damien got a big elevation from him winning and cashing in, plus the Judgement Day story was red-hot and this added a lot of spice to it. LA Knight didn’t lose any momentum and is about to elevate a title that desperately needs it, so I think the decision worked out for them both.
MITB started as good idea to bulid up a main event but when the fumbles started happening, it became a hit or miss deal with more misses than hits.
One thing I'll say, at least the men's MITB have patience when cashing in
Yo you got to breathe/pause for a while like you did before. I was out of breath 4 mins in just by watching 😂
It would be cool to rank all the MiTB winners
I was actually at the SmackDown that Jack Swagger cashed in and when I tell you that place did NOT care 😭
I remember when my buddies and I would play the old SvR games and we would do MITB matches, I would be the winner almost all the time like even I didn’t know how I used to do it, LOL! 😂 That match was my speciality. Good times.
They really shat on the briefcase from 2017 onwards
Would've loved to have seen a custom Wyatt briefcase
I never really thought about it until you made this video but YES Christian winning @ 26 would’ve been 🔥🔥🔥
I just realized you didn't do the women's matches 😂

For the 2012 Raw match i think it would've been cool for them to add Lesnar & Triple H to the match as well. Especially since they were calling it the "All Star Match".

jinder feet were under the ropes when he pinned corbin and nothing was ever said about that it confuses me today lol lol
Been waiting for an upload. Think I’ve seen all your vids now lmao
2011: i have a personal rule that in one year you either win the rumble, chamber or Mitb, not more. Del rio already won RR 2011. Could have gone to truth or Miz
2013: Highsight and all, it didnt matter who won since they planned for randy to be Undisputed WWE WHC Champion by the end of the year
2017: If Corbins heat was going to cause him to lose his cash in within a month, why bother. Could have gone with Aj( which seeing as he would go on to beat Jinder would have helped the briefcase) or have kevin owens start a redemption quest with it after his burial by Goldberg
2018: switch to Balor so he reclaims the universal title. With Roman leaving to treat his leukemia, have him cash in on the strowman v Lesnar Match at crown Jewel, keeps it then can drop it to Brock at the Royal Rumble
2019: anyone but Brock!!!! Drew, randy and finn would have been fine picks
2020: i would go out of the box and have lashley enter and win it to play cat and mouse with Drew going into wrestlemania 37. Can have sheamus screw him at the Elimination chamber to help Bobby cash in.
2022: Drew, Seth and Sami could have won to set up their title matches that they had with Roman going into WM39
Is Mr. Santizap and this channel has same script writer?
It’s a shame that Shelton happened to fall into that era cause I feel like if he were to be within this current WWe era I think he would’ve won a MITB and gotten a push
11:55 Forgot to mention he cashed in while it was a literal open challenge for it💀😭
May you please do a video on wwe2k17 and 16 on last gen and do a part we’re you compare them to current gen
Unpopular opinion but Austin theory cashing in on the US title wasn’t a bad or dumb idea. The breifcase is meant to give you ANY title shot ANY place, ANY time, ANY where. The fact it took them this long to cash it in on something other than the world titles is more crazy to me. At the very least all the guys who lost their shots with the briefcase could have cashed in on lower belt ranks. But nah I don’t have a problem with that booking decision. It spices it up if done right and puts all title holders on edge
What if the Money in the Bank Briefcase was like a championship but only you can have it until either the 12 month period is up or successfully fails to cash it in or defend it like a championship if you lose it changes hands
Corbin shouldn’t have had the briefcase at the time he wasn’t ready yet. But Jinders title reign was so bad, I got really hyped when he came down to cash in, only to get stopped by Cena. Literally the only time I ever booed Cena because he kept the belt on Jinder. Love Corbin now and his new gimmick with the briefcase would be good
Youre so funny bro love the videos, appreciate the work you put in, the best wwe channel out there. Your energy is unmatched, dont change
What’s the lore about Jack Swagger lol I feel like I’m missing some context
As a big Corbin fan in 2017 (still am) I was so pissed when they had him drop that case match to Jinder and then lose to Cena.
I’m still very upset about it because he was so awesome to me, while the crowds slept on him I was cheering him every week. He should’ve beat Jinder for that title then drop it to AJ later on
I love MITB but ngl that last few years were rough glad though that last year’s was good hopefully with Triple H it will continue with this year’s MITB.
My man hates jack swagger so much😂
let's gooooo!!!!! new video😂❤
No one was taking the title from Roman. they should've had Theory cash in on Roman anyway, but lost. he wouldn't have looked like an idiot and losing wouldn't hurt either cause it was god mode Roman he was still against
Nah I'll never forget how upset i was at the 2017 one
I so badly want to go to money in the bank but my mom might be working so I don’t know if I’ll be able to and at the moment I’m green with envy

Money In The Bank briefcase has certainly became a number 14 in the Royal Rumble match mostly known for being cursed😂😂

Might sound insane but I reall want Dom for this year, it is perfect for his character & would massively benefit with the briefcase.
Wow, I just checked to see if he posted another video two hours ago.
I Love the idea of bray Wyatt being Mr.money in the bank
In this year, i think Jey Uso or LA Knight can win MITB, its will be good imo
Corbin honestly was the right choice for 2017 since out of all of the other choices he would've benefitted the most from having the mitb, the change should've been on the cash in cause that was bullshit, his lone wolf gimmick was awesome, his finisher was awesome, his fucking signature was awesome, all they needed to do was was to have him cash in and win, hell even with the backstage heat he had all they had to do was fucking make him a transitional champ then build him up again to take back the championship a few months or years later
2011's Smackdown briefcase should have gone to Wade Barrett
Good list totally agree
Well i didn't know jack swagger was hated so much lol
