Everyone should read her book. Simple and heartbreaking. She is still the finest female vocalist of last 50 years - thank god recordings of her gift have been preserved.
I just watched her bio movie, ' Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of my Voice' ... And I Love her even more! What a life; what a woman. Her independent spirit, in always staying True to Herself -- especially in a male-dominated industry is highly admirable. I saw her 3xs in concert & at the end of Each One ... Linda will rock on in what's left of my life with kidney disease. My Mom passed away at 88, but never got tired of listening to the Awesome Linda Ronstadt!!!!
When I think about growing up in the 70s, seems like Linda is always singing in the background. My mom had all of her albums. She was such an influence on pop music -one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Love you Linda.
Rediscovering this undeniable talent; her voice so pure so powerful; so pitch perfect. "Hasten Down the Way" is a masterpiece. Makes me sad that pop musicians today are so synthetic, formulated, and ultimately uninspired; will have the class to not name names. If great singers are suppose to move you she is definitely one of the greatest ever!!!
I've loved her voice since I was a teenager. Remember going to her concerts and she was so shy she could barely turn to face the audience. Married a man later who grew up with her and her brothers in Tucson.

Right on sister Linda. Never let the fools get you down. Her singing voice is rare, her heart is humble and she is a Southwestern, via Tucson, treasure to vocalists everywhere.
She and Emmy Lou were my idols! It's funny. I use to sing in a little country band and sang her songs. I remember some of them, but just a hand full. Simply the purest female vocalist of all time. Power, Pitch, Vibrato, Sustain, Timbre, Resonance, and of course, a Tone that will never be equaled, Linda had it all, and she could sing it all.
I have loved this woman and her voice since I first heard her and the Stone Ponies sing 'Different Drum' back in the late 60s'.. Her voice just blew me away and, if you listen to sing on her album with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, "Trio", one can certainly understand why.. I wish her well and hope that, someday soon, a cure will be found for this most hideous disease and Linda will be able to sing again..
I've also loved her since Different Drum. The 70s were a special and wonderful time for her music, esp. living in her home city. Her brother was Chief of Police here for years , so we heard the name Ronstadt often! As we have a large Mexican-American population, she was particularly noted for her album Canciones de Mi Padre.
Yeah! Both my favorites too! Love and miss you Glen! My mom who just passed also had Parkinsons. Mom was funny to the end and never let P ruin her life. It's so cool that Linda accepts it and continues on. Facing things is the secret of life. Once you do, even if it's terminal, can return to it fully, and live it sweetly. (I also lost my partner to cancer, so am just adding my two sense!) Bless Linda and all of us who loved every note she took us on. She sings in her head. She is still enjoying her passion. Happy 2020 everybody!!!
Not to compare myself to Linda in any way; but I do love to sing. I shall do it with extra joy, knowing it can be taken any time, any one. Linda, you are life's delight in musical notes, always.....

Well, trolls are called that for a reason! It is my experience that snide, bitchy commenters always fail to do their homework. In this instance- concerning Linda: My late father was a resident in Tucson for more than fifty years. One of the things I clearly recall: the Ronstadt family, Tucsonans for decades as well, set about restoring an old church which had, over time, fallen into neglect and disrepair. I believe it was La Iglesia De San Javier. Anyway, the Ronstadts used their own money, creating substantial public interest in this landmark, and restored a beloved house of worship to its former splendor.
I grew up listening to this most lovely of voices. I have had a very hard time comprehending that this great voice has been silenced now by this most cruel disease. Linda Ronstadt should have been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, long ago. Perhaps now, she will indeed be so. Thank you Linda, for all the wonderful memories and all your wonderful tunes and for your pure, 'clear as day' voice. One of a kind you are. Many hold their candles to you, not to mention, their careers. Peace.
The first live concert I ever went to was the "Mad Love" tour at the Boston Garden. I wore my concert shirt to school the next day and some of my friends made fun of me. I was a 16 year old kid that was supposed be listening to metal or hard rock bands. I didn't care, I thought Linda totally rocked and was awesome. Thank you Linda for all your great music. I hope you are still enjoying retirement!
The Louvin Brothers wrote a lot of Linda's great songs. Ira was NOT a Drunk's Life in Vain, CHARLIE TOURED THE WHOLE USA.... not many people make an impact on my life like Linda Ronstadt, she had an amazing voice and will have a grand legacy that will live on forever. May God Bless her with the strength and joy that she brought so many people. You will always be loved Linda.
Not to ever hear that beautiful voice again is like drinking a big glass of gasoline. I love so many of her songs, but my favorite will remain, "Desperado." I wish her well.
Linda I have all your Records; now on my I Pad . Parkinson's is a terrible disease to have and I admire you for being so strong and for not feeling pity about your self despite the huge health problem you are facing. I just wanted you to know funs like me will be with you to the very end. It has been almost twelve years since I saw you in a concert , and it has been almost ten years since you stop singing .I miss you already .Get well , get strong , and I will see you sing again ; if is no here on earth , then in Heaven .
Can't remember my teen years without the memory of Linda Ronstadt, commanding our attention and admiration. Heart Like a Wheel, the first 'rocky' music I ever bought, 'You're No Good" the first song I could sing and really let the emotions sing :) Gorgeous voice, carefully crafted and the songs that described my world...Hasten Down the Wind. Prayers for you Linda and many thanks for blessing of your voice.
Been crushing on you my whole life saw you at the Sahara hotel in Vegas about 1975-76 you were with Loggins and Messina with my wife of now 44yrs.You wore a white dress with a red flower in your black hair and you were the most beautiful woman in the world except for my wife Marguerite at that wonderful moment in time. Please take care of yourself. The impact you have made on music is legendary and their will never ever- ever be a voice like yours again......period......
Prayers to Linda. I love Linda Ronstadt she was a lady I grew up with who shared the same values of life and views. Her music lives on...Thank you for sharing this video. I too struggle daily with medical problems. My heart goes out to her in prayers. ❤👍❤⚓
As a contemporary of Linda Ronstadt, I grew up with her soulful music as backdrop of our era--Radio on 24/7 records and concerts. All boomers look back and say "good times". Her voice was so pure, it grieves me that she has to endure Parkinson's and that it robbed her of her beautiful voice. As I also live with a disability, I understand her bravery as she fights her illness each day with such dignity. Love you, Linda! Ps favorite song Heart Like a Wheel.

Love the way she sings & beautiful eyes, too. Amazing how she sings in spanish. WOW! I got vol. 1 & 2 of her spanish cds (canciones de mi pardre - songs of my father). God bless you.
My Life, spirit, mind, body and soul ... Sooooooo much better because of this Wonderful Woman and her music. Just say’n God Bless you Linda Ronstadt...
The difference is that she has accepted her stuggle with Pakinsans and doesn't feel sorry for herself. She had a long career and now does what she can.

No, silly. That's Diana Ross.
@@ronrossmore211 - You MUST be kidding!!
So grateful that I was able to see her a couple times before she retired. She was as good live as she was in the studio. Simpy pure beautiful voice.
God bless Linda, the greatest female vocalist ever. Her music has been a part of my life for more than 35 years, I just adore her.
Paul R - Karen Carpenter too
God bless her? When she always says she doesn believe un God? Really stupid
Beautiful inside out, my favorite female singer at all time Linda Ronstadh💗
Linda will rock on in what's left of my life with kidney disease. My Mom passed away at 88, but never got tired of listening to the Awesome Linda Ronstadt!!!!
Coni Thomson sorry for youre loss. But hang in theyre. Linda is.
May God Bless and keep you Linda. We all love you dearly. Amazing amazing voice.
Like lot of comments on here, I'm glad to have grown hearing Linda's voice on the vinyl. I was head over heels in love with her. Still am.
Join the crowd !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't help but to feel so much grief for her, after growing up with and admiring her music and voice for so long. So beautiful and talented she was!
Such substance of character....
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this auspicious occasion of Easter. Did you get to attend any concert of hers?
This is true talent, 90% of what we have today isn't talent.
SHE SANG BEAUTIFULLY!!! If you've never heard her sing in Spanish you are missing out.
Linda added such a richness to our lives. She is a beautiful and courageous lady.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this auspicious occasion of Easter. Did you get to attend any concert of hers?
Who married? You? Because Linda never married. Explain yourself a little better!!

she's so lovely still..
All the best to you, Linda. I've loved your music since I was a teenager, and am listening to "Simple Dreams" right now. You're a class act!
Down to earth, intelligent, lives in the present. How refreshing to know she is such a decent human being.
There sure are some infantile comments on this thread.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this auspicious occasion of Easter. Did you get to attend any concert of hers?
such an amazing woman. so beautiful voice, personality, and her exterior beauty. I'm thankful for the songs she's given us. And so Smart!!! wow.
I have essential tremors now, kind of like Parkinson's. I shake too. It is a progressive disease. Although progress would make you think it will get better! Lol! It helps to have a sense of humor! God bless you Linda. I still love your music!
I am so touched and inspired by Linda's words.
Linda is a very classy lady. Simple Dreams could easily have been a book where she outs all of the horny old rockers who wanted a fling with her . . . but she didn't. A beautiful woman in every respect . . .

Simply the purest female vocalist of all time. Power, Pitch, Vibrato, Sustain, Timbre, Resonance, and of course, a Tone that will never be equaled,
Linda had it all, and she could sing it all.
The voice I first heard in 1975 that blew me away. Her voice was beautiful and so is she. She is a true legend.
She is still beautiful
Glen Campbell and Linda Ronstadt. Two of the best singers and talent in the past 100 years and they sing no more.
Ella es un gran talento. Nosotros en Tucson Arizona te extrañamos Linda Rondstat. Viva Linda! Tú eres el corazón de Tucson.
We love you Linda!
She looks JUST beautiful!!

She is my favorite and has always been my role model. I'm a vocalist and sing lots of her songs. Thank you Linda!
I always wanted to see Linda Ronstadt live in Australia . I love her voice and have since the 70's, but i can always hear her on youtube.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this auspicious occasion of Easter. Did you get to attend any concert of hers?
I grew up listening to this most lovely of voices. I have had a very hard time comprehending that this great voice has been silenced now by this most cruel disease. Linda Ronstadt should have been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, long ago. Perhaps now, she will indeed be so. Thank you Linda, for all the wonderful memories and all your wonderful tunes and for your pure, 'clear as day' voice. One of a kind you are. Many hold their candles to you, not to mention, their careers. Peace.
my mom was recently diagnosed with Parkinsons disease, but she is 87, Linda you always inspire......love and peace.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this auspicious occasion of Easter. Did you get to attend any concert of hers?
She brings wonderful memories.
One of my favorite singers back in the day! I have 5 CD'S, what a great singer!
Linda one of a kind....truly unique. ..sexy,sultry......we absolutely love her....
Greetings from Dublin Ireland. ....
MANY YEARS LATER, PLAYING FROM HAPPY HOUR TO CLOSING TIME WITH NORMAL BREAKS.

One of the greatest voices on the planet, and a huge musical influence in my life. THank you Linda for giving your all, and singing your ass off for all us to enjoy. Looking forward to hearing what else you have to say, and going to buy your book! Blessings to you on your life's journey.

Not to ever hear that beautiful voice again is like drinking a big glass of gasoline. I love so many of her songs, but my favorite will remain, "Desperado." I wish her well.
Linda's voice is my favorite of all time.

Class act all the way. God bless you Linda and thanks for all the incredible music.

Linda, you were my heart throb in the 1970ies. I still listen to your music and it is timeless.
I'm 18 years old and I have been listening to linda since I was a little girl, She is my hero and my insperation, and listening to her has added to my life so very much. After all these years she is still Beautiful inside and out, she is the most talented vocalist in the world and it is a crime that she is not iin the rock'n roll hall of fame, it makes me sick.
I will always love Linda and her incredible voice. And the way it made me feel then and now. Mi Amore

My Life, spirit, mind, body and soul ... Sooooooo much better because of this Wonderful Woman and her music. Just say’n God Bless you Linda Ronstadt...
Sending love back to you did you attend any live show?
When Linda sing I've been cheated- she has! I hate Parkinson's Disease and what it does to people.
The difference is that she has accepted her stuggle with Pakinsans and doesn't feel sorry for herself. She had a long career and now does what she can.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 - Oh, so you know her personally??? It's ridiculous when people act like they know the inside, private thoughts of another - especially someone they've never met in their lives!!
@@haveagreatday2823, That is quite disingenuous of you to say that!!! I have watched her documentary on her life and her own words are exactly what I have described. At 64 years young I can tell very easily when a person has accepted their plight with a serious illness and don't feel sorry for themselves.
In addition to that I have worked in the medical field and have cared for people with serious illnesses that ultimately took their lives.
autoimmune diseases are weird and horrible. long live the queen.
