The fact that this Lions team started 6-2 in 07 before the 0-16 season
How did Detroit do this thing anyway? Typical Lions! They had all the tools and the talent and a playoff caliber atmosphere but failed to finish the job.
@@scoobycarr5558 late reply but also just like the 2018 Steelers the Refs fuck the Lions
@@Jack-xd4si another late reply but while it's true the refs stick the lions like none other it's still the lions fault for leaving every game close enough that 1 call can beat them. If they put the other team away like that have had soooo many chances to do then 1 call can't beat them and it'd be irrelevant
@@scoobycarr5558 One word: Ownership.
@@scoobycarr5558 Although the 2007 Lions had the best record under Matt Millen tenure with Detroit this team was still far from perfect. The defense on this team was pretty bad itself although not on the same level of the 08 Lions they still allowed 444 points on the season.
Rare footage of the Lions winning a game in the Matt Millen era.
Also I miss this FOX sports graphic.
Me too
I like the 2010 fox
Part of the reason why we like it is because of Super Bowl 42.
bigblue999. They beat the reigning NFC champions too. I like the current FOX Sports graphic
I miss the old cbs graphic
Fun fact. Devin Hester has 4 more return tds than receiving tds, and almost 4 times as many return yards as receiving yards in his career
He was never a real receiver. Cutler wouldn't throw his way because he couldn't catch. I honestly think they should have used him on defense and returns. He could have probably been a decent db
I saw one of them live.. A punt return for a touchdown on Monday night against the Cardinals..... "The Bears Were Who We Thought They Were" I was at that game.
I miss the days my bears were worth watching #BESTRETURNMANEVER#
Yeah we couldn’t trust him as a receiver. He had loose hands.
He came in the league as a cornerback , and return artist he was never gonna be an elite receiver or cornerback
Deven Hester is by far the best return man ever. Awesome.
Well he can stake his claim to that now being a member if the hof 😊
Beginning of fourth quarter 13-3
End of fourth 27-37
Total points scored in fourth 48 points!
fruit Costa just 6 more points then the 1916 Georgia tech team scored in the forth quarter when they won with a score of 222 to nothing
Real MVP
Thank you! Didn't want to watch the whole video!👍
So much for betting the under
@@returnofthemack6295 that games isnt recognized since ncaa didnt hold records till 1937 so
I was so confused when ‘Adrian Peterson’ started getting touches lol
Yeah. It didn't help that he also wore 29.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrian_Peterson_(American_football,_born_1979)
RIP Cedric Benson
Damn didn’t even know he passed away RIP Cedric Benson
Oh yeah... moto bike
How on Earth is the win percentage figured? I love how when the Bears were up by 3 and down by 4 it was the same probability.
It's also a matter of who's playing, where they're strong in, how they counter the other team. Not just who's winning and who has the better record
@@qSlunt That makes sense.
Twigg4075 only god knows how
Good eye on that. I'm sure it was a copy-paste mistake.
@@qSlunt
Yea but these are NFL teams.. Fuck records. Any team can win any given Sunday.
We went 7-9 than 0-16 next season :)
Started 6-2 finished 7-9
:(
The hell you smiling for boy?
@@richardharper4637 lol right ...lol

22:18 lol the fan trying to distract
It worked against Cody parkey
Who remembers this from Madden NFL 09?
Madden 09 had some nice throwback game concepts
Still the best Madden game ever.
@@bigblue9996 agreed. One of the last great franchise modes. Best superstar mode on the Xbox 360 and PS3 era. Last but not least you could play as lot hall of famers in the game
@@taviuswhite1626 And don't forget the Call Your Shots feature
@@JC2206 This was one of the toughest since you had to literally go for two most of the time and your defense had to stop them. Luckily there's rex Grossman to save the day😂😂. The toughest one had to be the Rams vs Cardinals one where you had to onside kick it and score before time runs out and you had about 15 seconds your best receiver was Torry Holt and you had Marc Bulger who was a pretty alright QB at the time
Man Devon Hester was so fun to watch coming from an eagles fan
Bro, the return on the opening kick in the superbowl?! Surreal!
Devin*
If you had the under heading into the 4th quarter, you were feeling pretty good.
I don't think I'll ever bet another UNDER ever again. Sick.
If you had the over you quit watching
@@jeffteampeterson just never throw away that ticket til 0:00 😆
A rare positive moment for the Matt Millen-era Lions.
Chris Kreager 2007 was Millen’s best season.
Also the best 8 games in the Millen-era. In 4 more games after that, the Lions went a historic 5 wins with 47 losses in 52 consecutive regular season games. Let that sink in.
9:26 When the Lions are winning and even the computers don't believe it.
LMAO
I miss Devin Hester playing on the bears 😔
Me to
Me too best kick returner of all time
He was a joy to watch
The fact that Baldinger knew Hester was a GOAT in Year 2 says a lot about his ability as an analyst...one of the best. And poor Bears, with a QB room of Rex Grossman and Brian Griese LOL
The 4th quarter alone was a classic! Brian Griese was a decent qb, but he definitely wasn't his father!
If the bears had the real Adrian peterson, they would've won
Lol we had a real Adrian Peterson just not the AP 😂 but no if we would have kept Thomas Jones we would have been better off
Yeah I was really confused by that name...
Jar of Smegma smh only on the internet
And if Detroit had had the "real" Roy Williams.
Devin Hester was a god
David Goodwin no
So talented, but he became so lazy. It's like he lost desire to play far too early. Still had a great career as far as a returner. Awful WR.
Yeah he was a god
Yes, until Lovie Smith got greedy and tried to turn him into a WR.
@@MattPawlowski greatest kick returner in the history of the game!
This channel needs to more subs
I recall watching this game live. That FitzSimmons kick return on that on-side kick was a heartbreaker!
Back when Jason Hanson was our leading scorer
I think he still is the franchise leading scorer 😂
Who remembers madden moments? This one was called “Lions roar for 34”
The bears did Gould so dirty by far my favorite player he’s up there with Tillman and Urlacher
You'd never expect it to be these two teams.
Mike martz the qb whisperer lmao
@@ericsigersmith2831 'Mad 'Martz' Bear legacy? ONE QUARTER in a forgettable Lions game, lol.
Great post! Thanks. Please upload the 2007 week 2 game between Bengals and Browns.
Love how they did all of this. From the editing to the little fun facts on the corner.... #SUBSCRIBED
Every time Bears fan talk smack about Jay Cutler I just think of this cringey time to be a Bears fan offensively speaking of course
The Lions started that year 6-2, then went 5-47 (they won more games in the first half of 2007 than the next 6 halves combined), and then won 9 straight going into 2011 (in addition to all 4 preseason games).
This Lions team wasn't bad by any means if anyone remembers they were one of the best first half of the season teams in 2007. They were 6-2 but I think the game that broke their spirits was the Cowboys game where Romo had that last drive and sealed the deal. Kitna was on fire before the collapse , this Lions team had tons of potential but couldn't overcome adversity it seemed.
3:24 Hester slithering his way through those guys. Crazy. 👀
This just reminded me how infuriating Lovie Smith’s clock management was. He always hesitated in using their timeouts wasting literally a whole minute that could have won them the game every time they were down.
It was like he didn’t want his offense to succeed.
Yessir, let's not forget that wild and wacky timeout he did call once, 2 seconds before the 2 minute warning. Absolute idiocy regarding clock management is a beloved hair-pulling Bear tradition.
Detroit's famous bend, bend, break defense
Amazing the Lions could be in involved in ANY type of scoring records, unless it would be most field goals made after a team blows the most first and goal situations!!!!
Watch The Greatest Game Nobody Watched. Detroit v Cleveland.
Don't forget longest fg by an opposing team lol
YES!!!! i have been looking for this footage for YEARS online!! Casey Fitzsimmons returning the onside kick... so awesome
Love this channel
I love these types of vids. Especially the little pop-ups at the bottom
Hester may well have been the best KICKOFF returner ever...you can argue others or other punt returners were more explosive or some stuff like that but he was truly great at returning kickoffs which is something very few in the history of the game can say..
Kitna! Man, I hadn’t thought of that name in a long time.
Great channel, great quality
I remember Mike Furrey. He was my favorite player on that team. I even bought his jersey after watching him celebrate a touchdown in Dallas by throwing the football at one of the Dallas stars and knocking it down off of their old stadium. 🤣🤣
Furry had a good game against bears. He is now the Bears WR coach
Former qb like a Matt jones from Arkansas if he became a more complete player
Ah yes, I remember this season. This was the year Jon Kitna promised Detroit fans they'd win 10 games that season. They started out 6-2, then fizzled out and finished 7-9 lol
Still Detroit made history by scoring 34 points in the fourth quarter. Which is pretty damn awesome.
Let’s hope these 2023 lions can keep it up🙏
NEVER KICK TO DEVIN HESTER.
Also, GG to Troy Walters, that's a heck of a way to score your last ever touchdown.
And DAMN, I don't think I've ever seen an ONSIDE KICK get recovered for a touchdown before!!
There were quite a few anomalies and outliers in this game
I love seeing the win percentage start to change throughout the quarter🦁
I love how Lovie puts Grossman in for the last minute and his first snap is a sack. Lol
Nice highlights!
Do you have Cowboys-Eagles from Week 2, 2008 or Redskins-Bucs from the 2005 playoffs?
I wish madden games could show a win possibility percentage
I never forget this game. I remember Bears play the Lions in football. So many run score. A lot of air balls in sky. I #1 football. I know all of football. So it good.
19 career KO returns for Tds for Hester. That's insane! Does that include Punt return TDs too?
Good upload
Imagine the redzone channel on this game lol
Hahahaha, yes. Scott Hanson going beserk !
I miss returners like Hester. Kickoffs were fun.
Devin Hester was a BEAST..
Yeah Bro, Beast Mode b4 BeastMode ....
Wow, what a dominating team! Surely these lions can make a super bowl run next year
As a Bears fan this had all the electricity of a playoff game
@:47 this STILLS reigns true to this DAY. From a Lions Fan living in DETROIT 🦁 🏈
Great clip with fun fact stats
Nathan Peterman's first career, as a Detroit offensive lineman, pictured at 13:43. Truly the GOAT.
Sheesh! and you think this year is crazy when it comes to high scoring games! This is a wonderful document right here.
Well, the average points per game in 2007 was 21.7 while the average points per game so far this year is 24.1. This was a crazy game though, but there's been plenty of shootouts this year too. I honestly prefer the more moderate scoring games such as 24-21 or something like that.
@@Footballfansblue good point and scoring has been up this year by about 10% I was just talking about this one specific quarter.
I loved the video (even though I'm a Bears fan). But it could have been about 10 minutes tighter. Keep up the good work, though.
As a lions fan, Hester was unreal.
This is one of those games you would see the ticker and your eyes would bulge having seen the ticker tape show the score in the 3rd quarter. "What the heck happened there?!" Well, now I know!
Top touchdown songs in this video:
0:24 KC and the Sunshine Band - That's the Way I Like it.
2:14 Usher featuring Lil Jon, and Ludacris - Yeah!
8:50 Don't know hat song was that.
13:34, and 22:44 Blur - Song 2
Good ears
Cedric Benson had that UT curse. Great UT football player that just couldn’t cut it in the pros. Hampered by the fact he was “coached” by Mack Brown.
Hester was a boss on the field!
Memories of the HOLY ROLLER in this one.
As a bears fan this is hard to watch can’t believe how much we’ve improved
This comment aged like milk :D
That 35-7 Dallas Cowboys game against St. Louis needs to be uploaded, it's the game where Romo had that play where the snap bounced over his head.
Wow that’s wild
Good to see my team win
I went to that game. One of the best indeed. 🤟
Who remembers his last game ever when he played on the Seahawks and got a couple badass returns.
I was at this game, but I only remembered the onside kick return for a TD.
How many points? Besides like the videos 👏🏼
The Stockyard Haunted House 48 points in 4th (Bears 14 , Lions 34)
@@piker3248 oh
I got nauseous just hearing the names Brian Griese and Rex Grossman mentioned. With Mitch, at least there’s hope.
How Grossman was Rex? Heard that Grossman got his driving privileges revoked because he caused too many Rex.
I argue if you put Mahomes in Trubisky’s shoes (I.e., Bears draft Patrick M.) he doesn’t do any better with the poor blocking O Line and pass dropping receivers (over the last three years). Nobody wins his first year with John Fox as coach. 🙄
This aged horribly 🤣
Anyone notice the arrow at 4:28 after the extra point? It pointed out the ball perfectly! 😂
Also, Middleton had two embarrassing plays in a row on that kick return by Hester and the kickoff after 😂😂😂
For the rams and chiefs on next week Monday do a history for them for the Missouri rivalry when rams were in st louis before returning to la
Back when lions had the qb whisperer mike martz, then bears had him...
Like watching the greatest slap fight between the two biggest nerds in school..hilariously inconsequential
13:11 😂 Guy on the sideline got his equipment ripped away from him
Wow, what a quarter. It wasn't just the points. Even the penalties were exciting!
Dude would you EVER have guessed that the 2 teams involved in the highest scoring 4th quarter would be between the BEARS & LIONS, LOVIE SMITH & ROD MARINELLI, BRIAN GRIESE & JON KITNA!!! like...WHAT!?!?
what does the highest scoring first quarter look like would you upload it
Jon Kitna is underappreciated. Not gonna say underrated(maybe a little)but one of my favorite Lions. Cut from that Phillip Rivers cloth.
As a Bears fan, I was so incredibly angry & frustrated!!!
Best 4th qtr of all time:
2013 Ravens vs Vikings
2016 Seahawks vs Cardinals
I remember that game from when i was 7 and Im pretty sure it was when they both kept on getting big play's at the end
2018 AFC Title game Patriots vs Chiefs, that one had 38 points scored and 4 lead changes
This fan ratio was close to 50/50 and 4th quarter was hype. Listen to the live crowd thooooo
I miss the old games I feel like the crowd noise was higher and the announcers were just a lot better. It’s definitely a way different atmosphere in the games today. I really hate the music blaring whenever the game stops idk it might just be me lol. It also felt like it meant more then too.
Was this game played on September 30, 2007?
"On this day the song stronger was released" I feel old as fuck rn man
The Lions only had 3 wins against the Bears from 2005-2012 and 2 of them came in 2007.
Fun fact. Roy Williams gave Calvin Johnson his megatron nickname as the transformer movies were big at the time. Williams was traded to the Cowboys.
That stadium was just full of bears fans
This was the year Mike Martz former greatest show on turf architect was the offensive coordinator for these lions ......
14:16 of course it's blocked they're snap is so easily telegraphed it's crazy
oh yeah, that Coyote Saint Casey FitzSimmons onside return was in that game.....crazy man
Was Ndomiken (sp?) Suh playing for the Lions back then?
Not yet
Brian Griese vs Jon Kitna...those were the days
Adrian Peterson was the guy you could trade in fantasy football for a big points earner when they other guy didn’t know it wasn’t “All Day” AP of the Vikings you were giving him.
