Today’s video is an acrylic & oil painting tutorial for beginners all about creating easy glowing effects and painting the sexiest stars. I wanted to start a new series where I teach you all how I create the different parts of my paintings to make them extra af! These techniques can be used with any type of shape or object as well, so if you wanted to make glowing hearts, gummy bears, etc. it’s the same process!

💖 Paper or canvas
💖 Some kind of palette (so like cardboard, glass, something store-bought, etc.)
💖 Some kind of heavy body acrylic for your actual painting - I LOVE Golden
💖 OPTIONAL fluid acrylic paint - I used Golden fluid Titanium White
💖 Random crusty brushes (any value acrylic set from like Michaels is what I use, and I like filberts the most for blending)

seriously ive been looking for a tutorial forever on this, im gonna try this with my oil paint! seriously this is the direction ive been trying to find for years but the art community can get really gatekeepy on really unique techniques like this (nor did they encourage it when I was in art school )

Video suggestion: Please if you can go into depth about how to make a shine affect (ex: a lemon, the light shines onto the fruit causing the center to have a shine)

I love golden acrylics 😍 great tutorial! I’m not sure if you have ever used the gloss glazing liquid for thinning out your acrylic paint? But golden makes it and i love it. It gives a better feel to painting more opaque layers and it also helps keep your acrylics wet for longer 😅🤐
