    First, I want to say thank you to everyone for the love I got on my crochet durag tutorial! Everyone asked for a tutorial on the ruffle bucket hat a while ago, so here's a quick and easy tutorial on how to crochet a simple ruffle hat! This pattern can be adjusted to be any length and be easily customized. This is a perfect beginner's first project because it utilizes the most basic stitches and concepts as well. It was actually the first thing I learned to crochet!
    I used one skein of size 4 (medium) white "I Love This Yarn!" acrylic yarn from Hobby Lobby, but many different yarn types are suitable for this pattern!
    I also used a 6 mm hook, yarn needle, and scissors.
    Please like, share, and subscribe! Be sure to tag me in y'all's recreations! I would love to see them! If you have ANY comments at all please do not be afraid to ask! Thank you for watching. 🖤

    PLEASE READ!!!! The video got muted from 1:13 - 3:15 and for 12:33 - 14:20 so you can't hear what I'm saying, but luckily I do have everything that you need to do written on the screen. Sorry about that. I will be re-uploading. I don't know why RUclips is trippin 😠
    Here is the re-uploaded video without the background music and without the muted parts ruclips.net/video/wpvjDNzWtrE/видео.htmlsi=6QpecUKsot8ugwFx
    1:13 - 3:15
    Slip knot, Ch4
    Ch12 into the very first st
    Ch3 (all CH3 count as a DC at the beginning of each row
    2DC in each st for the second row ALL the way around
    sl st into the very top of the CH3
    start 3rd row, CH3.. *continued*
    *video sound continues after that*
    12:33 - 14:20 (Row 16)
    5DC in first st
    4DC in second st
    3DC in third st
    2DC in fourth st
    *repeat*
    5DC, 4DC, 3DC, 2DC, 5DC, 4DC, 3DC, 2DC, etc
    Row 17 - 5DC, 4DC, 3DC, 2DC, 1DC, 5DC, 4DC, 3DC, 2DC, 1DC, etc *repeat*
    Hat should start curving at row 7 when the base of the hat starts and there are no more increases. If your work is not starting to curve up at this point you need to check your work for accidental increases.

    If I wanted to do another row or two of ruffles would I continue to do the 5dc, 4dc, 3dc, 2dc, 1dc in those rows or alternate between that and 5dc, 4dc, 3dc, 2dc?

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  11 месяцев назад

      You could alternate or do the same thing for both rows. Really it’s just depends on the look you want. I’ve never done more than two ruffle rows so sadly i wouldn’t know how it’d look 😅 I’m sure either one would look nice though!

  • @PearlM12
    @PearlM12 8 месяцев назад +4

    so in each row when you start making the hat portion are you doing 2dc in the first stitch then 1dc in each stitch for every round? or just the first round when the hat starts forming

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  8 месяцев назад

      Yes. Every row you put a DC in the same stitch as the chain 3 so it’ll be two in one.

    Hey what do you mean by the chain 4 and chain 3 counts as a double crochet? & can I make the hat bigger by doing additional rows at the start of the circle?

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  10 месяцев назад

      In some patterns your chain doesn’t count but in this pattern it does. So if you chain 3 and put a DC in the same stitch you would then have 2 DC. If the chain 3 didn’t count you would just have 1 DC not 2. Hope that helps/ makes sense?

    Hey I love you’re hats! I just started myself and watching multiple videos. Curious if each row/round supposed to increase by 11 or 10?
    Also, when doing men sizes after doing the 7 1/2 in at the top should we do 16/17 rows all together instead?

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  Год назад

      Hi! I guess I’m confused on what your asking about the 11 or 10 increase thing.. You mind explaining your question more?
      For men sizes though, the hat size is unisex but if you need to make the hat bigger I usually add a row in the brim section not in the top circle. Hope that makes sense!

    • @anneschumacher281
      @anneschumacher281 8 месяцев назад

      Increases would be by 12 each round. You would have 72 stitches by the end of round 6. Im not sure why she continues to add the extra double crochet at the beginning of round 7 to 15

    At what row did your hat start to curve? That way I can have an idea if I am on the right track. I've made and frogged two buckets hats so far because around row 10 my hat starts to get super wide like a pancake. I don't know if I added extra stitches.

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  4 месяца назад +3

      Your hat should start curving at row 7. Maybe go back and check your rows. If it’s flat still you might have accidentally added some increases in multiple places. Also, your tension, if you’re using a different hook size / yarn size will play a part as well.

    Hi! Thank you so much for this video!! My base looks smaller than yours although we have the same amount of rows and size yarn. My hook is a 6.5 though. Should I add a few more rows to my base or continue to crochet the sides of my hat?

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  7 месяцев назад

      I would do what you feel like is best for your head size! If you think you should add an extra row to the base I would do that or you could continue and do the sides and if it needs to be bigger once that is done then you could just add more rows since crochet does tend to stretch! Hope that helps! :)

    • @AntisocialClub1
      @AntisocialClub1  11 месяцев назад +2

      If you made sure you started with 12DC, there’s no extra or there’s no missing stitches.. it might be your tension. Idk if you’re a beginner but if you are you might want to play around with your hand placement (the hand that holds the yarn).
      Also make sure your slip stitching in the right place when closing the circle, make sure you’re putting a DC in the same stitch as the chain 3, and make sure that the string at the beginning is pulled tight to close the hole at the beginning as well!
      Hopefully one of these tips help! 🙂

      Nooo 😭 you’ll prob have to add another row or two to the base part. I usually do that for my customers who have big hair

      If you click the settings icon you can change the playback speed to make the video slower. Maybe that might help 🖤

      @@Blkwswn it’s a BEGINNER’S TUTORIAL, but since you wanna be her lawyer so bad maybe you can give her props on how to do a proper one :)

      @@eve.kauapirura I could but I have no complaints unlike you. Your comment was unnecessary especially since you have lack of criticism. There are plenty of tutorials that the person doesn’t talk at all but you know they do they put the words down for you. Why because you don’t have to talk to understand. I know so amazing right? ☺️. So next time read you can use the extra comprehension based off your reply
