    Hi ! In the video ( 7:18 ) you mentioned that 5 rows of hdc’s make a medium sized hat. I have medium/thick locs and will need my hat to be a bit bigger. Would you suggest I add a few more rows of hdc’s before starting the brim ?

    • @abikeadelomo
      @abikeadelomo  Месяц назад

      hi & yes! i think you should make maybe one extra row because the hat will naturally start to stretch downwards due to the weight of the brim and the lose loose stitches dues to the size of the hook

      yes double crochet is looser

    How would I go about adding an extra layer of ruffles?

    • @moodyslvt9271
      @moodyslvt9271 Год назад

      It depends on how many stitches you want to add in one stitch.. so at the end of your row 2 slip stitch to the top of your beginning stitch, chain 2 then in that same space add 2 or 3 (again depending on how many stitches you want to add to one stitch) stitches. Continue your work as Normal by adding 2 or 3 HDC in every stitch around the row. once you get to the end of your third row of ruffles slip stitch to the top of your beginning chain 2, chain one then pull up a loop. Cut the yarn tail then end it with a knot. you’re done! I hope this wasn’t too confusing 😩

    • @abikeadelomo
      @abikeadelomo  Год назад +1

      If you simple just want an extra layer you can just place a single hdc in each stitch for the third row or to make it more ruffled, place 2 or more hdc in each stitch 💌

    R1: 10 HDC/Initial Stitches
    R2: 15 HDC into 10 stitches (1-15)
    R3: 22 HDC into 15 stitches (16-37)
