    Question: does the half double crochet make the hat fit more snug vs the double crochet? I’m looking for a more snug fit especially we’re the ruffle form. I’m getting to much baggyness

    • @ashleyiscute6547
      @ashleyiscute6547 9 месяцев назад

      yes double crochet is looser

    • @abikeadelomo

    • @abikeadelomo

      Not exactly, a smaller or bigger hook size would mean the stitches would be smaller or bigger so the sizing would change, you can apply this pattern still but you’d have to adjust your measurements accordingly too

    How would I go about adding an extra layer of ruffles?

    • @moodyslvt9271
      @moodyslvt9271 9 месяцев назад

      It depends on how many stitches you want to add in one stitch.. so at the end of your row 2 slip stitch to the top of your beginning stitch, chain 2 then in that same space add 2 or 3 (again depending on how many stitches you want to add to one stitch) stitches. Continue your work as Normal by adding 2 or 3 HDC in every stitch around the row. once you get to the end of your third row of ruffles slip stitch to the top of your beginning chain 2, chain one then pull up a loop. Cut the yarn tail then end it with a knot. you’re done! I hope this wasn’t too confusing 😩

    • @abikeadelomo
      @abikeadelomo  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you simple just want an extra layer you can just place a single hdc in each stitch for the third row or to make it more ruffled, place 2 or more hdc in each stitch 💌

    • @abikeadelomo
      @abikeadelomo  5 месяцев назад +1

      A bigger hook will get you that fullness faster but you can still create a full look with a 6mm hook but placing more than 4hdc in each stitch and more than 3hdc in the second row too 🤍

And then 2hdc in each of those stitches before you start doing the 1, 2, 1, 2 method? I’m just starting out so I might be completely wrong 😅

    • @abikeadelomo

      I might’ve explain this wrong, the 55 comes from counting consecutively 1, 2/3, 4, 5/6, 7, 8/9 and so on until 55. When you get to 55 thought and count how many stitches are in the round, it’s going to be 28 stitches. Hope this helps 🩵
