Making this right now! I've been looking for a tutorial pattern for one of these for so long. Thankyou for doing one. I'm a month into my crochet journey and you're a great teacher.
Thank you, I did complete the hat but it was for a friend had to redo with a larger hook. I enjoyed making it and you explained perfectly, I was just slow to catch on but I got it!!!
I wanted to thank you how for making this tutorial. It's so easy to follow, with relaly clear instructions. I've used it to make 3 differents hat, modifying it every time to experiment, and I always go back to your video to follow along. 💜💜💜
I just made the hat by following this tutorial and i love it❤❤❤ im so happy that i found ur channel ! i almost watched every single of your videos already - they are so interesting and inspiring !!
Thank you for this tutorial which I rate 100%!!! I appreciate your straight forward professionalism. Yes some of the counts for some rounds were a little off…however as an experiences/advanced crocheter for over 50+ years…sometimes a count, space or stitch just won’t add for the most basic/simple project no matter how precise the instructions/video for so many reasons no matter how many times you rip and crochet again…usually missing a space or count. My counts were off but I love my mesh hat which still looks and fits beautifully!
Thank you! I’m still a beginner and am learning about the mystery of stitch counts, but I’m glad you were still able to make sense of what I was getting at lol. All I have to say is God bless the people who make patterns for a living. I don’t know how they do it.
Hello! I#m a bit confused by the 2nd and 3rd round, how does it go from 14 stitches to 16. And what kind of yarn do yoou use hehe. And also, thank you for the tutorial!!
Ooooh, I see what you mean. Honestly I don’t have a good answer for you unfortunately. I may have just ended up with two extra stitches because I was operating off of good vibes lol. My guess is that I probably put a double crochet in the same stitch as my chain 3 at the beginning of the round- and didn’t realize it- and then again at the end of that round. If you don’t have the exact amount of stitches as I do, that’s perfectly fine the hat does stretch so you shouldn’t have any issues if your stitch count is a little bit different than mine honestly. And that yarn was something I just stumbled across in Joannes. The brand is Lion Brand, it’s their 24/7 cotton yarn.
Hello, first of all, thank you for this wonderful video. I watched it and knitted a hat. But I have a question, I want the spaces between the frames to be wider, what should I do for this?
So instead of chaining 1 and skipping one stitch, you might want to try chaining two and skipping two stitches and see if the spaces are more the size your looking for
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! Very helpful and gorgeous🥰🥰 I love your creative work and your videos🫶🏽 I’m currently following this tutorial and I think the count of my stitches is messed up😂could you tell me the number of stitch I should have for each row? Thank you🥰🙏🏽
thank you! I still have to work on being able to keep my hands in the frame. Lol but I tried. I’ll do better next time :) Round 1- 7 stitches Round 2- 14 stitches Round 3- 16 stitches Round 4- 20 stitches Round 5- 25 stitches Rounds 6-8 - 36 stitches Rounds 9-12- 31 stitches (my rows don’t increase and decrease in a cute little mathematical pattern because I was going off of vibes and fit. So it’s ok if your numbers are a little bit different from mine- you should be fine as long as they are in the same realm. Also, the stitches I just listed are only counting the double half crochets that you’re making and not the chain one space in between- so that should make it a whole lot easier to count your rounds Luckily, these kinds of hats are super forgiving. So if your stitches aren’t exactly the same as mine, you’re still good. As long as you like how fitted it is :)
@@jorithedio Thank you so much for your response! :D it's so helpful, I found myself panicking and almost giving up because i didn't know if I was doing it right or not🤣🤣You're doing great, I can't wait for your upcoming tutorials🤩🥰 Yea that's the thing about making your own crochet clothes, sometimes you just forget stitches and unravel everything is too heartbreaking and time consuming so instead you just improvise and it doesn't look so bad in the end🤣🤣
It is a great tutorial! thanks for it. I have just finished my hat but mine became very very very small. I have used 4 mm macrame yarn and 4 mm hook. Do you have any idea why? Thanks for your help anyway :)
Hi!! I love your videos so much! Thanks for sharing amazing tutorial!! I really love black beanie from video, Did you use same pattern for that? Thanks
Your tension could be it, or it could be from the difference in yarn. To combat that I would just not do any decreases. So after your last increase round, just do 1 dc, ch 1 for all you remaining rows until it’s your desired length. You could also do a extra round of increases if you feel necessary
Hi, my english is not good, but i need to ask you something. after the round when you do 2dc, inc, how many rounds you do? after this you do, dec, then is five rounds?
If your stitches weren’t too far off from what I had then no, you should be good. And you should be able to try on your hat as you go and make sure that it is fitted enough to your liking.
Yes it’s the same pattern. I honestly can’t remember the yarn I found for that. 😬 sometimes I just stroll into Joannes or Michaels and grab whatever catches my attention. But then I can never re-find those things again. I really liked that yarn too, and never thought to save the packaging 😩🤦🏾♀️
So before you get to step 8 how long is your diameter once you finish step 7? I’m having trouble making my stitches too tight even tho I’m using a bigger hook and yarn and it’s too small lol
how should we know when to stop increasing before be go into the ch 4 2dc inc (with the ch 1 in between) i’m making one for my dad do we need to measure his head or keep going with the inc ????
I love that you explained each step instead of just writing it and putting music, it's very beginner friendly!! Gonna make this ASAP 🫶🏻💕

i did it with thinner yarn n it looks so cute!!!!! seriously it was so easy to follow I really love it

Wow, thank you! I’m really trying my hardest out here lol
All my crochet hats are for large winter lumberjacks in Alaska. This is what i need. Bravo.
😂😂😂
Thank you, it is so quick and easy to do! I just finished mine in red and am thiking about adding flowers too :)
Your video was so nice !! It's so hard to come across a video that explain everything so well thank you !!
Thank you, I’m glad you could follow along! I was really nervous that nobody would be able to follow my subpar instructions.
This was so easy to follow and the hat came out perfect!! Thank u so much🫶🏾🫶🏾
It came out wonderful, you are great at explaining. Thank you for this gift!

@jorithedio hi I saw when you did the DC increases you put two extra dcs into the slip stitch

Working on it, slowly but surely 😊
@@jorithedio still waiting Mam 🥰❤️
Hi pretty ☺️ sorry if it’s a silly question… but can you tell me what thickness of yarn are u using?? Ty 💜
(Sorry for my bad english 😬 i’m spanish)
Hola! That’s not a silly question. It’s a weight 4 worsted cotton yarn 😊

Round 1- 7 stitches
Round 2- 14 stitches
Round 3- 16 stitches
Round 4- 20 stitches
Round 5- 25 stitches

Hi!! I love your videos so much! Thanks for sharing amazing tutorial!! I really love black beanie from video, Did you use same pattern for that? Thanks
Thank you ❤️ It’s a little different, I’m planning on making a tutorial for it
I followed your same number of rows but I turns too small, do you think is because I tightened it too much?
Your tension could be it, or it could be from the difference in yarn. To combat that I would just not do any decreases. So after your last increase round, just do 1 dc, ch 1 for all you remaining rows until it’s your desired length. You could also do a extra round of increases if you feel necessary
do you have the full pattern? i cant keep up with the pattern in the captions
I don’t. I’ll have to make a pattern soon :)
how do you make the hat bigger?
I think just repeat rounds with increases until it’s big enough
You may need to start with a few extra stitches in your foundation round
bby, I made my hat with a smaller yarn.
Can I continue increasing following the pattern of round 6?
Absolutely
Is the pattern for the black one same?
It’s slightly different, I’m planning on doing a tutorial on that one
Hi, my english is not good, but i need to ask you something. after the round when you do 2dc, inc, how many rounds you do? after this you do, dec, then is five rounds?
Please where is the yarn from?
It’s a cotton yarn I found at Joanne’s once and never have seen it again lol
21:04
How much yarn is needed? Thank you 😊
Not even one whole skein of yarn. I do know that much 😬( I never paid that much attention to it before- but it’s really not much)
Do my decreases on step 9 change if I have a different number of stitches then you did?
If your stitches weren’t too far off from what I had then no, you should be good. And you should be able to try on your hat as you go and make sure that it is fitted enough to your liking.
The grey one you have in the video photo is the same pattern but with a different yarn? If so, what yarn did you use?😊
Yes it’s the same pattern. I honestly can’t remember the yarn I found for that. 😬 sometimes I just stroll into Joannes or Michaels and grab whatever catches my attention. But then I can never re-find those things again. I really liked that yarn too, and never thought to save the packaging 😩🤦🏾♀️
i have no idea if i’m doing this right. i started to freehand it when she started explaining the way she increases
Sorry if I confused you. I’ve learned a lot about crocheting since then. I’ll be making a easier updated video :)
Thank you so much :)
amazing i just made it
So before you get to step 8 how long is your diameter once you finish step 7? I’m having trouble making my stitches too tight even tho I’m using a bigger hook and yarn and it’s too small lol
Roughly 6 inches/ or 15 cm. By the time I get down to the last row it’s about 10 inches /or 25.5 cm
Thanks a looooot!!!
Your very welcome 🤗
Hi I'm on the fourth row and getting the stitches confused
A lot of people are getting confused there, I’m gonna have to redo this tutorial. Sorry for the confusion
how should we know when to stop increasing before be go into the ch 4 2dc inc (with the ch 1 in between) i’m making one for my dad do we need to measure his head or keep going with the inc ????
