I just started learning crochet and scrunchies are the first thing I’ve been able to make, now I’m so eager to buy more yarn so I can make them this way. These look really cute and will be great for my nieces ❤!
I started crocheting two days ago, and this was a really helpful tutorial! My first scrunchie wasn’t as cute as yours but I will keep practicing! Thanks for sharing ♥
i have some random single skeins that my friend gave me while she was culling her yarn stash, can't wait to make something useful out of them! :3 what a cute idea
omggg I love you 😭❤️ this is my first actual successful crochet project, when I followed others I always ended up confused and just gave up and now I just created my first ever scrunchie !! 😄😄 I can’t wait to start a business at school with this, thank you so much for making this video! You’ve helped so much people with your easy instructions and knowledge! ❤ keep up the good work 😼
You got a subscribe outta me. Such a fashion forward pattern. You don't see to many young fresh crochet tutorials that are so simple to follow!!! You didn't use a dark yarn and explained this very well. Thank you for the tutorial!!!
Just discovered your channel and enjoyed it thoroughly! The instructions were clear, you have a very pleasant voice. It was very helpful to include the color suggestions for ppl like me who are color challenged😂 And the music was relaxing, not so loud that it overpowered your voiceover and mellow like how crochet makes me feel! 😊 Looking forward to checking out more of your videos!
i ve imagined the bigger version is just adding more DCs in the first dc layer but instead you add on top of it as an extra row. thats why im not a pattern designer 😅
R1: sc around hairtie R2: 3 double crochet in each stitch R3: end here by adding a trim or continue by repeating previous round by putting 3double crochet into each stitch. R4: add a trim by sc in each stitch
These are beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial :) could I check if there is any way of "saving" the piece should the elastic weaken like an easy way of replacing the elastic with a new one? Or is it impossible?
I don’t know of a way to save/replace the elastic without having to take apart the scrunchie. But on the bright side, if you do have to take it apart, it can easily be put back together :)
It was just a random yarn I was trying to use up. I think it might have been a weight 3 cotton yarn. I can’t remember what brand it was, I didn’t really like it that much lol.
It could be because you don’t have enough sc’s in that foundation round. Or that you need to do more dc’s in the two row repeat. If you are sure you have enough sc’s in that first round around the elastic, then you can try doubling your number of dc’s in rounds 2 and 3. put 5-6 dc’s into each stitch for rounds 2 and 3 and see if that makes a difference
you need to add a lot more single crochets in that first round that covers your hair tie. and then as you go into the second round if you feel like it still needs more, you can do 4-5 dc's in each stitch for both rounds 2 and 3.
Could also be that you didn’t add enough single crochet during the first round! I typically stretch the elastic (hair tie) a bit when doing that first round to make sure I squeeze in as many SC as I can. 😊

Neither am I, we just figure it out as we go lol, that’s my method
Just finished the bulkier version. I love how it turned out 😍 thank you
Love love love this video❤❤❤❤❤, what yarn did you use at the end?
Its really looking beautiful
This was so easy to learn Thank You❣️🤗
amaaaaazing tutorial!!! thanks!!!
You're very welcome!
Thak you for this tutorial! Amazing and eazy!!
These are so beautiful! Thank you. What size hook do you use? And what type of yarn is the white?
I used a 5.5 mm hook and the yarn was an elastic yarn, but acrylic works just as well- maybe just downsize the hook a little if you use acrylic
R1: sc around hairtie
R2: 3 double crochet in each stitch
R3: end here by adding a trim or continue by repeating previous round by putting 3double crochet into each stitch.
R4: add a trim by sc in each stitch
Is that 3ply or 4ply yarn on white? And what size is the green
loved it.
Great tutorial, thank you so much!!!
You are so welcome!
Tq sm 4 this tutorial ..i fininshed it yesterday n its amaizing
Beautiful, are we allowed to sell the scrunchies that we make using your tutorial?

@@jorithedio indeed! And thank you for replying :)
Use two elastics together. I did that for a longer life😊
what type of yarn did you use?
Acrylic
What size hook did you use for this project if you don’t mind me asking
It was a 5mm
What kind of yarn are u using?
Hello, I seen you used a thinner material to do your border. What is that?
It was just a random yarn I was trying to use up. I think it might have been a weight 3 cotton yarn. I can’t remember what brand it was, I didn’t really like it that much lol.
These are beautiful. What yarn have you used?x
I’ve basically just been using acrylic. A few were cotton, but I think acrylic has been the best for this
Great tutorial ❤❤what size of hook tho?
5mm
I dont speack english well but i like ❤❤your video..i love crochet.i make lot thinks 🎉congratulations
Wow, thank you 😊 ❤️
Thx💗
I've done this on 3 several trials but keep loosening it because it's not giving this ruffle look, it's straight. Why could that be please?
It could be because you don’t have enough sc’s in that foundation round. Or that you need to do more dc’s in the two row repeat. If you are sure you have enough sc’s in that first round around the elastic, then you can try doubling your number of dc’s in rounds 2 and 3. put 5-6 dc’s into each stitch for rounds 2 and 3 and see if that makes a difference
I May have missed it but what size yarn did you use?
I actually don’t think I mentioned it, but It’s just your normal weight 4 acrylic yarn :)
Do you use cotton yarn or acrylic?
Acrylic :)
Hi! What size hook did you use?😅
5 mm :)
Hey I want to make this so bad so could u tell me the hook size
It says it in the description, it’s a 5mm :)
Thanks for helping
How do you make the rufels?
The more increases you add, the more it should ruffle
My scrunches are not turning out a puffy (if that makes sense) does any one have any tips ?
you need to add a lot more single crochets in that first round that covers your hair tie. and then as you go into the second round if you feel like it still needs more, you can do 4-5 dc's in each stitch for both rounds 2 and 3.
I tired it but it came out flat maybe I’m crocheting too tight 😢
Mine too but then i realized that she went through three time through the same stitch
Mine didnt do the scrunch 😢
Hmm, maybe add more dc’s to each stitch on round 2. Instead of 3 you may need to do 5/6 depending on how big your hair tie is
Could also be that you didn’t add enough single crochet during the first round! I typically stretch the elastic (hair tie) a bit when doing that first round to make sure I squeeze in as many SC as I can. 😊
Did you put 3 dc in each stich?
❤❤
Wooww I just made it!! Thanks a lot🫶🏻💖 you have been great!!
You're welcome 😊
What size of chrochet hook
Looks like a 4 or 4.5
It’s a 5mm hook
