Yay! Finally someone who explains things slowly and patiently. I have never crocheted before and today I made my first scrunchie following this video. It came out perfect. Thank you so much! 🙏😊
Written pattern 1. Get a rubber band or a hair tie whatever you call it 2. Make a slip knot and do single crochet all around the hair tie 3. Slip stich to join 4. Chain 3 and do TWO double crochet IN EACH STITCH 4. Slip stitch to join 5. CHAIN 3 and do ONE double crochet in each stitch 6, slip stitch to join 7. Add new colour and do a round of single crochets and slip stitch and tie off to join ❤ First time copying down a pattern ❤❤
It's been many years since l crocheted. Surprisingly l forgot how to crochet a scruchie, l keep making mistakes. But this video here taught me all over again, such a detailed explanation. Thank you.
This was so easy to follow! Thank you for the thoroughly going through each step. I was able to complete my first crochet project because of your tutorial!
Vry easy to understand!❤ I’ve had trouble crocheting, this was the first project i made after giving up (taking a break) for awhile This was so easy to understand, thank you so so much!❤❤

OMG I just finished making my scrunchie with ur following ur steps and I'm in love with it , how can I thank you and also thank myself for watching ur video ❤️ thank you so much ❤️🙏🏼
If you don't have stitch markers, I use a different color yarn and tie it loosely and just cut it off when I'm done. Also rly great video. I knit but I could not find a good pattern for knitting a scrunchie so I decided to take a shot at crochet. I do not regret
Hi! I'm trying to make this scrunchy, but I think I made some kind of mistake, because some yarns are too loose. Like maybe I should have squeezed the double crochets more?
I'm an absolute beginner I love scrunchies, would this size be ok for my 3 year old granddaughter. She loves her hair in two platts. I wondered do you have a pattern for smaller scrunchies?
i cant get my ruffles to sit well when i tie up my hair but i think thats just cause my hairs so thin 😖 very cute scrunchie though! I'll have to gift it to someone with thicker hair
row 1: sc in color A around the hairtie, slit in the first stitch you made. ch 2 row 2: dc increase in each stitch (color A) until you reach the first stitch of that row row 3: dc in each stitch (color A), but in the hole under the one you should usually stitch in. (if you stretch apart the dcs from row 2, notice how there is a small hole on top, and a larger one below it. crochet in the large one on the bottom) (no increase) slst and FO row 3: sc in each stitch (color B) slst in the first stitch and FO
The perfectionist in me is so devastated bc I was listening to the pattern so when I came back I realized there was a typed correction and I did the ribbing with the sc and not slip stitch. It doesn’t make a huge difference but I know 😭
Hi, I have tried this method -my hands start to ache as I struggle to tension the yarn and holding the hair tie together. How can I make this project easier without hurting my hands? Is there a technique to prevent it from happening?

Wow😮
i cant get my ruffles to sit well when i tie up my hair but i think thats just cause my hairs so thin 😖 very cute scrunchie though! I'll have to gift it to someone with thicker hair
actually putting my hair in a sock bun with the scrunchie around it was super lovely looking!
This turned out so cute but any tips to make it smaller ? The one i made is too big
I think you can reduce the no of sc in first round. Hope it helps
Probably just use shorter crochets 😊 like half double crochets
Your explanation so pretty but please Write the pattern in the video 💜
Noo
there are patterns on pinterest if that helps
row 1: sc in color A around the hairtie, slit in the first stitch you made. ch 2
row 2: dc increase in each stitch (color A) until you reach the first stitch of that row
row 3: dc in each stitch (color A), but in the hole under the one you should usually stitch in. (if you stretch apart the dcs from row 2, notice how there is a small hole on top, and a larger one below it. crochet in the large one on the bottom) (no increase) slst and FO
row 3: sc in each stitch (color B) slst in the first stitch and FO
thanks so much❤
@@0_0o-o row 2 is actually a triple dc increase

typed correction? where 😢
Hi,
I have tried this method -my hands start to ache as I struggle to tension the yarn and holding the hair tie together.
How can I make this project easier without hurting my hands? Is there a technique to prevent it from happening?
It is hard to hold the elastic and crochet around it, have you tried crochet tension rings? They might help
Is there a written pattern for these
Thank u so muchhhh
So cute 😍
thanks ❤
What if the wool im using is kinda thin
At first how did you get two loops on
I guess I pulled mine too much hahaha.. or my hair tie is just super elastic
I'm confused she said increase dc but did 3 dc
it’s a triple dc increase
❤❤❤
Hello it will be so kind if someone awnserd but when i made it it came out like just a line not fluffy why ?
If it came out flat you didn’t put three dc in each single crochet correctly, you probably did one. If you do it will be fluffy.
Help 😢…mine came out flat it didn’t have the scrunchies pattern 😭😭😭…it wasn’t wavy it was straight 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
U prob didn’t do increase
😊😊😊❤
Why can’t you just cut the remaining yarn
So nice😅😅
Wait
There is no written pattern in the vid?😭😭im cooked
I tried it but it came out bad😢
