I just wanted to let you know i appreciate your style n making sure your hands don't block seeing the whole map of the stitches. I hope your staying healthy and life is treating you kindly. Many blessings. 😊
I love watching your tutorial. I haven’t been crocheting long and find your video very easy to follow. My daughter wants a Agnetha hat so I thought I’d give this a go.

Hi Claire, I was wondering the past while about the waffle stitch and would love to create something with that stitch but I can't think of anything and haven't really learnt how to do it, if you ever get stuck for another video would you do the waffle stitch tutorial because yours is always so easy to understand thanks barry
Just read your post about those scissors. I found a pair at Walmart, the only difference is mine has hole for the thumb. I believe the brand name is Fiskers.
Hi bobwilson, I crochet the tezzie hat that you have a tutorial for. Is it possible that I can make it slouchy instead skull cap? Do I add an extra row or......? Please help me.
Hi Clare, thank you for the tutorial, this is really helpful. What about if i want to make the holes bigger. Do i chan 2 instead of 1? And will i have to reduce the number of double crochets at the beginning?
I really enjoyed ur tutorial. Followed exactly how u did it but the hat was really big lol so I made a basket out of it lol. How can I measure the hat to fit? X
Say the crown of your hat needs to be 7” and the hat height needs to 9-10”. Does that mean you need to do the work 9-10” over the 7” that you have already worked for the crown of the hat or does that mean 9-10” total for the whole hat. Sorry I am so confused.
Hello Johna, If your crown needs to be 7" then you will stop your increases when your hat reaches between 6.5-7" (crochet stretches so making the crown half an inch to an inch smaller is good). Once your crown gets to the size you need, you stop increasing and just continue your normal rounds until your hat reaches the length you need which in your case would be 9-10". You will work your rounds until your total hat measurement is 9-10".
Yes Connie Tang and you will not believe how easy it is, to make it slouchy you just add more rounds to the length....if you want it more baggy , you add more increase rounds thank you for watching
Hi, I’m sorry but I can not speed up my tutorials. I go at the speed that I do so that everyone is able to learn no matter what skill level they are at. You can speed up the video on your own RUclips settings. On the bottom of the screen click on the little gear icon and then click on playback speed.

Yes all good here, hope you are too.
The mannequin looks like he'd just eaten a lemon 😂
Hehe I never even saw that until now. Now I can’t unsee it.
That large gap at the end of each row is smaller if you slip stitch into the "V" stitch space, instead of the 3rd chain stitch. Love the tutorial!
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks! I appreciate your comment because it fors make the work look neater❤

Love it. Thanks, Clare!
Great work! I love your tutorials. I swore of hats for a while because of the stupid seam in the bak. I haven't figured out how to get rid of it, yet.

Hi Clare, thank you for the tutorial, this is really helpful. What about if i want to make the holes bigger. Do i chan 2 instead of 1? And will i have to reduce the number of double crochets at the beginning?
No problem!
Yes, do a chain 2, and yes I would reduce the first round to half the amount of stitch and see how that goes
Yes of course :) I would make the hat about 2 rows shorter other wise your hat and brim will sit over your eyes :D
HI there, I have a a hat tutorial called, almost seamless hat. in that video it shows you how to make a hat that fits you :)
Your website didn't show when I tapped on more for head size. Just wondering what happened.
sorry about that! Try this link, www.crochetwithclare.com/head-sizes.html

Super danke meine liebe
HI , no there is not a hobby lobby here in Aus
I really enjoyed ur tutorial. Followed exactly how u did it but the hat was really big lol so I made a basket out of it lol. How can I measure the hat to fit? X
please give the number of loops at the end of each round.
The stitch count will be different for each persons hat. It will depend on what size you are making.
Could you please tell me where can I get a man model like yours please :) I need one. Thank you :)
Are those scissors available in the US? I want some!! But haven't seen em in any craft stores or anything..
I got mine from ebay :)
When i get to the third row my work starts to curl, is this normal?
Yes your work will start to form a bowl shape.
If it is ruffled, I suggest starting with 2 less stitches at the start
@@CrochetwithClare will try this! It’s ruffled and I’ve tried changing hook and adjusting my tension but it always ruffles

Yes Connie Tang and you will not believe how easy it is, to make it slouchy you just add more rounds to the length....if you want it more baggy , you add more increase rounds
