okay, maybe he mentions this later, but hasn’t yet in jack’s lament. elfman’s sprechstimme is so damn good. the transition between singing and speak-singing is seamless. like, when i was little I tried to sing along, before I received training with sprechstimme in my teens, and you quickly realize he’s not fully like… singing, half the time. Danny Elfman is probably the only person I wish I could have been sitting in on when he was recording the music for this movie. I feel like it would have just been so magical.
one of my favorites and I just sing the songs because they're there. But your explanations make me appreciate their work so much.
Not his “A little bit of distortion” at 2:50 spindling like Beetlejuice 😭🤚🏻
Yes!! Purrrfect intro and I absolutely love how you explained all the voices. I never even thought about the music in this movie thoroughly but you were so spot on, it’s my favorite video yet!!
This is so random but I LOVE IT
I clicked so fast…also reacting to vocals from movies is such a good idea. You should do Sweeney Todd…cause all the actors aren’t singers idk bye…❤️
Anything Tim burton literally shaped my childhood and music taste i still watch this every Christmas and every Halloween
I can never unhear thw difference between singing jack and talking jack ;-;
