    In this tutorial I will be using a 3.5 mm Odyssey crochet hook by Furls Fiberarts. Buy one now (affiliate link): furlscrochet.c...
    You will also need on ball of the Whim Merino. Buy it now (Affiliate link): shrsl.com/36srl
    Skill Level: Easy
    Gauge: 21 sts x 28 rows of pattern = 4 inches
    Finished Size: 6.5 x 7 inches
    Yarn: Whims Merino by Furls Fiberarts (50% Fine Superwash Merino Wool, 50% nylon; Approx. 182 yds, 166 m). Light Weight (3). You will need 1 skein/case. Colour Shown: Lavender.
    Hook: Size E/4 (3.5 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge
    Notions: Yarn needle, 2 snap fasteners (I used a 9 mm), straight pins, personal tag or other embellishments.

    This is a very pretty case, thank you for sharing. Me and my mom struggled with the stitch though, saying "two rows down" wasn't enough for us, we couldn't see/ understand precisely where to insert the needle to make the spike. Also, I wish I could have seen you doing a couple of rows so we could better learn, especially at the end of the rows. All in all, it was a good tutorial, I had to use other tutorials to complement it (to do the slipknot, to fasten off, and to know what blocking was and how to do it), but I loved making this case for my auntie!

    Voice quality of this video isn't very clear. Love this pattern and soft yarn for my bigger size hooks that only fit in hard cases. Perfect for keeping in my carrying cases!!

      @@RichTexturesCrochet sounds like you are too close to the microphone at times. Depending on where mic is, maybe wrap with pantyhose or some kind of sound dampener. Video looked nice and clear.

    I find my crochet hooks stick through the wool when it is closed

      I find that double layering sheets usually helps with that.
