nowhere in the Bible does it say...reconcille, if possible....it says reconcille or remain single, so if one can not reconcille one can remain single...
the disciples responded....oh my....immorality, adultery, abuse, abandonment....and some others, and if you are divorced and remarried....repent....hey, what is the big deal...
the term porneia was translated fornication, which is very different to immorality....and it gives an example....Matthew does, that is....of Joseph and Mary......which means at the actual wedding or marriage, this is no longer in effect....
Remarriage IS adultery if one’s spouse is still living. Luke 16:18 Mark 10:11-12 Romans 7:3 1 Cor. 6:9-10 The exception clause in Matt. 19:9 is regarding divorce only, NOT remarriage. The pharisees question was regarding divorce, not remarriage. Further, Jesus was answering their question in response to Moses’s law, not God’s law. Moses made the law because of hard hearts. God never approved that, and it was not so from the beginning. Mark and Luke specifically state remarriage is adultery. The apostle Paul confirms this in. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11. Remarriage is the opposite of what God wanted in the case of the Israelites and Hosea and Gomer. The church teaches that remarriage is justified after infidelity but that is not so. Remarriage is pursued in order to appease one’s own desires. Itching ears twist the scripture (Matt. 19:9) in order to serve self. Paul was not speaking for himself when he stated that one is bound until death 1 Cor. 7:39. Reconciliation is what God desires. That is what true forgiveness is.
another false teacher.....where does the Bible say adultery is an acceptable relationship.....how does adultery become a valid covenant....so once again the disciples, hearing this type of teaching would have said....hey what is the big deal....marry, divorce, remarry, repent, remain....
