Yeah funny that. Same like how never one time has a 'normal or heterosexual kiss at any time has ever been glorified or otherwise as a big thing on the gaysis / basis of being heterosexual. The thing usually more so because they had gone through hell to be finally together....... or it got revealed at a later time they'd been siblings and she "always knew" somehow. . . lmfao. :D First step in encouraging greater acceptance being you DON'T exclude those of the status quo who were there first already and were who did the work to make the foundations for the rest, and two is to Not make a giant thing about the sexuality of those specifically doing things based off political stuff or to pander;, meantime it stays irrelevant what others' are or theirs is when doing the same or if not even showing it off at all. Like how after retconning Tracer to be gay in Xmast stuff her doing it up with some galfriend on a coach while the monkey watches, but you never see anyone else to speak of kissing from what I have seen in screenshots such when used to care. *(though it seems Torby got some hand and halfhand action on with a couple of the gals in a group picture, lmfao, but yeah.......................................................) Instead they just keep "revealing" another character to been gay, bi, or having had someone in the past whilst being a father , kek
Also Disney tends to go on stereotypes of gay people in some cases, for their characters. Which sucks. When they don't. They advertise it to hell for, you guessed it. Money
The people at Walt Disney Company are cowards if they really want to support LGBT community they should show more stuff with rainbows every month if countries like China and Russia got a problem with that that's on them I remember during star versus the forces of evil and Gravity Falls that Disney told the creators of those shows to delete any LGBT characters from the story. It wasn't until the owl house where we got two characters who are not only their main characters but they are LGBT I believe Amity is a lesbian while Luz is bisexual. As far as I can tell Disney only cares about money the only way I'll believe Disney cares about LGBT is there was a Disney movie where the main character is LGBT
An accident is not something done on purpose like a kid crapping or pissing themselves, GPS telling you to turn into a building, and cutting your hand on a knife while doing dishes those are accidents Disney is been slowly becoming more of a dumpster fire even though it wasn't as noticed until now
Well if they wanted to make movies that THEY wanted to make, then it would be back to the 60s again and we’d have a Siamese cat playing the piano with chopsticks. @@ChamiKhan13 - I think that, like with most creative industry companies, it's a bit more complicated. I doubt that most of those involved in actually *making* Disney movies are interested in going back to the Good Ol' Days of blackface crows and the whatnot. As with Alex Hirsch, there's clearly a desire among creators to do more progressive stuff. It's the money behind it that's determining what the company will put out. A lot of the objection to "woke" content seems to assume that artists and writers are being forced to make inclusive stuff, but that's really not the case. Disney is a living embodiment of a good amount of the horrid shit going on in a day to day basis, and the more they go on the more those 'things actually written for adult audiences' will get choked out of existence by Disney's ever expanding hunger for more to own. they have becomes synonymous with the cycle and perpetuate it.....so its high time the Disney wheel is smashed

Disney like the idea of "inclusivity" because to them it means "raking in even more money from even more people". The problem they run into is that any cause worth fighting *does* exclude some people. Supporting LGBT rights inherently requires that you piss off a few homophobes, at least in the short term. There was like a scene in the Love God episode where you can see Cupid pairing up an old gay couple... And it was changed for a heterosexual one. Love God's necklace had a transexuality symbol... Also removed. Yeah, Hirsch has a lot to be mad about with Disney.
Disney: We celebrate Pride! Disney: Valkyrie absolutely CANNOT have an implied female lover. Our gay characters are hiding in the background so we can edit them out. Just a line or background clip. We must appease the hyper religious and bigot countries for the sake of money.
But the creator wants to promote homosexual children, now I know where those fanfics of the protagonist with old men come from. Disney and Alex no good at arguing, they are weirdos vs weirdos.

If anyone asks why activism gets a bad reputation these days, this is why. Actions speak louder than words, and truth be told, it's a hard sell for me personally. I mean, I do support the rights, but I hardly go about talking about what a great person I am, unlike these people. Plus, if you are constantly virtue signaling about how great of a person you are cause you support this cause, the more phony you look, and it gives others the impression you are hiding something behind your back. You can talk all you want, but your actions and body language will be all the evidence anyone needs to catch your lies and pry open whatever skeletons you have in your closet.
I'm kind of reminded of those people who make a big show of how pious and religious they are. As an example, in some parts of South-East Asia there were people who insisted on going to the mosques to pray even when the governments ordered them closed in an attempt to stem the first wave of infections, and when asked would answer something along the lines of, "I fear God more than I fear the coronavirus". Like... what, you think the Almighty only notices your prayers in the mosques? I always found that stank of "look at how pious I am. I'm willing to risk my life to pray and show my deference to God".

Disney effectively fucked them over for their final season. Instead of 10/20 episodes like they were planning, Disney said "Nope, fuck you, you get three 44-minute specials to end the series entirely. Good luck!~"
Not to mention how hard Dana Terrace had to fight for the LGBT+ representation to begin with. They originally told her when greenlit that she wasn't allowed to have any sort of representation.
Side note, it's not exclusive to D+. Episodes air on Disney XD first, then the whole season gets uploaded to D+ once its finished iirc. And they originally told Dana Terrace that she wasn't allowed to have ANY gay/bi representation when the show was initially greenlit. She had to fight like hell to get what's there.

I have a friend who got attacked on Facebook for calling out the hypocrisy of "Pride Month".
The virtue signalers will never care what we think, but what matters is that the actual gay people seem to be catching onto the fact that their month has become a commercialized cringe-fest and are beginning to wonder why they still even need a month at this point. Once the backlash from the target demographic exceeds the sales of rainbow merch, I expect that the corporations will start to dial it back.
And stop being so scared for those less intelligent countries
We still need a month because it is illegal to be gay in like 70 countries and the many states in the U.S have "gay panic laws" and "trans panic laws" that allow murders to try to excuse their actions in court by saying "but the person was gay/trans and I was afraid so it was defense"
HOWEVER pride month really has become virtue signaling and I do believe we lost sight of some important issues.
