14:25 I worked at a theme park and lived what I added to guest experience. I have a passion for that kind of entertainment. When I go to Disney and I want to take a photo on a dark ride I feel insecure trying to double it because I don’t want the light from my viewfinder to interfere with someone else’s enjoyment! Yes I’ve been on the ride a hundred times but the guests behind me , this might be their first and only time they can experience that ride. I’m thinking of them. That comes from me having been in the customer service section of a theme park before. ( I drew caricatures at Kings Island and as a prominent presence on the Main Street I was constantly asked basic customer service questions that I gladly went out of my way to find the answer to to help this guest. ) Alright I’ll stop Patting myself in the back now. I’m just trying to say “ think of others more. “
I understand and agree with what you’re saying. My family grew up Disney, but for several reasons in the last ten years or so we’ve switched to Universal. We were on Jurassic park at the drop and the employees stopped the ride completely b/c someone else in the front row was filming on their phone. They were told to put it away and the operators would not continue the ride until they had done so. We all got to ride again because of this one rude person. I noticed for myself that my Apple Watch was glowing during the mummy indoor coaster ride. I turned it around toward the inside of my wrist cause the light was ruining the overall darkness effect for everyone else else. I agree with you. It’s the little things that could make someone else’s experience better.
Hi, true blue cast member here. Just need to make a small correction about your park closing statement. We actually do fib to guests about the buses and other transportation shutting down after park close. This is to encourage them to leave when possible as we don’t force anyone out. The sad truth is that transportation and security cast members must stay till all guests have left the park. I have closed several nights where we would have 20-25 buses and the ferry boat waiting for 3 hours past closing, waiting for a single party to leave. Usually these guests are either complaining to guest service about a refund, they are intoxicated, or they are an “influencer” trying to have a photo shoot with no one in the parks.
Infuencers are the worst :/ imagine these people yelling at little kids demanding space for their solo selfies just because they dont want people in them since it ruins their aesthetics or some BS, dude its Disney, always crowded, people will always be in the background of your photos. Worst thing is that Disney is DEF preparing a special service for (Rich) Influencers only :/ not a family friendly park anymore, just a big photo prop for narcisists, they dont care about Disney, they just want them clics
Or better yet; they hijack their own family vacation with their kids just to get the “perfect shot” or the “perfect video”. “Okay everyone act like you’re having fun ! No Timmy, we have to redo the video again because you don’t look happy enough!” “No! You can’t eat that cupcake! Mommy has to take a million photos of it!” Jeez.
I will say this. If an "influencer" is not interfering or intruding on others around them I don't mind people filming. The problem is in their efforts to go viral some vloggers force the public to tiptoe around them.
Influencers are all going through main character syndrome, they go through pride and actually belittle everybody else but themselves. This is going to downgrade the status quo not only the Disney parks but Disney as a whole. they didn't realize these influence might hurt them than supporting their brand using their pride in the center of it for tic-tok clout chasing gane by annoying and dragging people away from the parks and there brand.
Interesting idea here; why doesn’t Disney do few days a year (doesn’t have to be consecutive) where the park is open after hours or early early morning hours JUST FOR INFLUENCER photo shoots? NO RIDES OPEN TO RIDE, but you can get into a ride vehicle and take a photo at the station. They could make this available to media and charge a MINT. People would for sure pay it. Especially at Disneyland. Like each time they change over decor for the seasons, they have a couple days a month where you can pay extra to go in (general public not there) -and just take photos and videos. If they did it so the whole thing did not impede the general public and regular operating hours, I think it could work. Have a very limited selection of food stands open, coffee and bakery open, and shops open. Rides available only to take pics. Do you think something like this would work to stem the crazies? Or would it make them worse?
we dont have a lot of "influencers" but i have seen one in public and it was so cringe. i did admire how shameless the two people were. i can never do that, i can never muster up the courage to make a scene and disrupt normal foot traffic and have some people stare in disgust and dirty looks for over 5 minutes. that is some next level main character syndrome. i could get very far with that kind of confidence or probably burn down just as fast and end up in jail.
I agree with this. Some of them are out of control. My husband and I film to show others what to expect if they go to Disney. But we always try to stay off to the side or just film B roll and do voiceovers. We aren't there to ruin the experience for anyone

Is ai ruining RUclips thumbnails? Obviously
I find influencers insufferable period.. they are peak narcissistic dribble
Need a joey swoll for disney park now? Social media is truly the downfall of humanity
Walt Disney depicted this behavior as being a "jackass" in Pinocchio. Current Disney enables and rewards it!
People who are desperate to be influencers are ruining Disney.
I think it's both Disney influencers AND Disney ruining Disney, honestly.
Im starting to worry about Neon...we need proof of life 😉
I heard that Geeky just made a large purchase of sardine oil.🐅👑
if i have to accept my new female overlords i will follow geeky any time over others (stabs neon to makes this a reality ) XD hehe and on topic yeah disney has defeated themselves and the people they want to use for "clout" and branding. SCREW DISNEY i miss old disney when they made good animated drawn storyboards =)
If an influencer sets up his/her camera and expects people to walk around / not ruin shots, just pick up the camera and take it to Lost &: Found
Oh man, these girls I will stand purposely and block their cameras or force my way thru past them, Im so rude to them to the point of trolling, love it. Screw these Instagram looooosers.
I canceled my Disney+ this morning. My son doesn't really care about it, and we can watch Bluey on RUclips. It's so sad because I did my Make-A-Wish at Disney and have amazing memories from that time.
That thumbnail is horrifying...
Bob iger all the execs, and everyone bob hired destroyed Disney. If you're talking just the parks, whoever decided to raise the prices yet again is to blame. Which I'm thinking Bob iger. Bc he's the CEO. Also bob has a bunch of, yes ppl in the executive office.
Why can't Cast Members move influencers out the way when they're blocking other guests?
100% agree influencers are ruing Disney.
Disney is its own worse enemy.
Can't wait until they cancel TikTok
I wouldn’t be shocked to find out that these selfish influencers, also vote a certain way. It’s just that same kind of mentality.
There's a difference between a influencer and a diva
14:25 I worked at a theme park and lived what I added to guest experience. I have a passion for that kind of entertainment. When I go to Disney and I want to take a photo on a dark ride I feel insecure trying to double it because I don’t want the light from my viewfinder to interfere with someone else’s enjoyment! Yes I’ve been on the ride a hundred times but the guests behind me , this might be their first and only time they can experience that ride. I’m thinking of them. That comes from me having been in the customer service section of a theme park before. ( I drew caricatures at Kings Island and as a prominent presence on the Main Street I was constantly asked basic customer service questions that I gladly went out of my way to find the answer to to help this guest. )
Alright I’ll stop
Patting myself in the back now.
Geeky, do you even rest? I think this is the most videos in a day I've ever seen from you
Disney is doing just fine ruining themselves but the influencers are helping throw dirt on Mickey's grave.
I loved standing between "influenza's" and their cameras when I went to Disney. It annoyed them no end.
who is anyone impressing with disney pictures in 2024 besides 9 year olds? you say disneyworld trip and i say "sucker."
It takes a very sad type of person to be influenced by any of these Disney lifestyler creeps and losers
An empire can fall only if ruined from within.
It's about time for Disney to eat the fruits of their own hubris.
Only one person ruined Disney - Bob Iger.
Geeky Sparkles is on her soapbox today 😂
So glad that Provost Park Pass is getting cast member praise, been watching them for years and they seem like genuinely nice and considerate people.
"Don't you know who I am? I am a celebrity! I have 35 followers!"
Kneon's soul has shooketh itself of its mortal coil.
RIP.
So many things ruining Disney, it's hard to keep track
Sure he's sick. What's next, broken ankles? I'm sure it involves someone being tied to the bed posts for safety.
Influencers are the worst thing to ever happen to the entire world
Infuencers are the worst :/ imagine these people yelling at little kids demanding space for their solo selfies just because they dont want people in them since it ruins their aesthetics or some BS, dude its Disney, always crowded, people will always be in the background of your photos.
Mommy has to take a million photos of it!”
Jeez.
I will say this. If an "influencer" is not interfering or intruding on others around them I don't mind people filming. The problem is in their efforts to go viral some vloggers force the public to tiptoe around them.
Influencer Culture. What could possibly go wrong?
There isn’t one aspect of life that social media hasn’t ruined.
Was just at Disneyland times 100 more adults then kids. It's disgusting now.
Wish him a fast recovery
Influencers are all going through main character syndrome, they go through pride and actually belittle everybody else but themselves. This is going to downgrade the status quo not only the Disney parks but Disney as a whole. they didn't realize these influence might hurt them than supporting their brand using their pride in the center of it for tic-tok clout chasing gane by annoying and dragging people away from the parks and there brand.
I love the dynamic duo, but it's is nice to hear the solo shows too. From both of you.
I don’t understand why so many people watch most influencers.
I agree with this. Some of them are out of control. My husband and I film to show others what to expect if they go to Disney. But we always try to stay off to the side or just film B roll and do voiceovers. We aren't there to ruin the experience for anyone
Bob Igor ruined Disney programming.
I was done with Disney parks when they tore down Horizons.
