How to Recover Sony A7III Lost Images (Recover your Image Database)

- If your images or video shot with your Sony A7III cannot be found when you attempt to transfer them or even on the camera, proceed as follows to recover this images.
1: Select MENU → (Setup) → [Recover Image DB] → Desired memory card slot → [Enter].
2: Follow the on-screen prompts if it asks to recover a corrupted file.
3: When the process is complete, take a picture.
4: Back up your data on a PC or other device.
5: Format the memory card ON your camera.
A firmware update is said to fix this issue but here is how to deal with it if it occurs.

I did a camera setting reset and it deleted my San disk memory photos. I took 5 pictures before I notice how can I retrieve them again.
3yrs later and you just saved my behind. Use 2 slots to backup, turned on the cam the next day, all of a sudden it randomly updated itself and deleted everything. Now I got my photos back. Thank you for sharing!

Were you able to recover your data?
This setting deleted all my images :/ ..EDIT: i connected as mass storage, and let my pc show all hidden files and there were all photos. Copied them to pc and formatted card.

Did not work. All I was left with were videos and more of my remaining pics were lost as well.😠😭
This did not work for me either. I followed the steps and it found errors so I accepted it for it to be fixed, now the images are completely gone.
what about the sony a6000..what can the reformed ones come back .. ??

if you take the sd card out from this camera , does the pictures still gets stored in this ?

I put my memory card in my friends camera and then it shows to add database image in my card and then boom. All the data which I'd taken from my camera are gone. Can you please tell me how to recover it???
Follow the steps in the video and also you can buy data recovery software online. Otherwise see a digital camera recovery store near you sorry about that.
I did this but none of the photos appeared. I have not done anything to the SD card. What do I do?
