I think you could use your second part of the intro as outro. It ends completely unexpectedly. Feels like I’ve been cheated :)
Dude said he will give part 2 ,pay attention
Amazing ultra fine soldering of the wires. It still blows my mind how something so small can hold 64Gb when us oldies can remember the 5.25inch floppy disk then superseded by the 3.5inch double density 'floppy' which held I think 1.4Mb
I used to have a box with 10 x 5.25 floppies when I started to learn programming (Basic and COBOL) 😮 LOL
I've seen a few 5.25 back in early 90s in Russia, but most of our games as kids were kept on 3.5" floppies. Oh the sound that driver would make when you plug them in and turn that magic latch to close :) #nastalgia
Remember when the first SD cards came out and when you bought a camera, it came with a 4MB card. Try doing anything useful with those today!
For info
LDPC ECC
The card accepts some command (presumably), that for now only formatting in modern Sony cameras knows about and uses, that effectively
invalidates the previous contents and makes it appear as zeros
same as or similar to a 'secure delete' option
The two data recovery vendors mentioned [06:50] were PC3000 (Acelabs) and Ruslut VNR
RUclips has lost my reply that was links to more info on LDPC
ruclips.net/video/PzjhgcNywtI/видео.html
WOuld be interested to know exactly what 'command' the latest Sony cameras uses to determine the SD card type and to do this 'secure format' Probably defined in the current or some enhanced SD card protocol specification
LDPC ECC has nothing to do with erasing. Erasing is something that exists in the SD card SPI data transfer protocol regardless of the ECC mechanism used. The device issues ERASE_WR_BLK_START_ADDR and ERASE_WR_BLK_END_ADDR to mark the first and last block of the area to be erased, followed by ERASE.
ok thanks, and its up to the card exactly how it impliments the actual erase.
Just wondered what was 'new' in the way modern Sony cameras, in conjuntion with these SD cards, worked that led to this issue (wheras other cameras and/or older cards dont have the issue)
translator table gets wiped out using Sony camera. Logical image on the card is built using a translator table. However, using tools such as VNR, and PC3000 and FE you can build logical image using block sequence instead of original empty translator. Data remains in blocks, but with empty translator, card would not bother checking it
Erkin nice job again my friend , when u were soldering you reminded me my younger days where i still coul solder to tiny locations, now a days a need a spot like block capacitor to solder :)))
thanks my friend!
Eagerly waiting for part2👍
Next week!
this card has been formatted by a sony camera by a mistake from the user* that the story right ?
yeah exactly. It was an accidental format
Same thing happened with me.. i tried every possible recovery software..and I am not able to recover it now 😢
Hi, what was the final outcome of this story? I looked for part 2 to no avail. Thanks
Fascinating! Nice soldering work.
Thank you very much!
so those wire traces can touch one another while power is applied to extract the data ..btw ..what is that paste you apply on those ssd memory chips with that stencil is that a thermal paste???i saw that in other videos ..so kool to see this done :)
yeah the wire is isolated, so no worries with then crossing. The paste for reballing is a low temperature solder paste
thanx :) @@hddrecoveryservices
Nice!! What size wire is that 0.1mm, or smaller? 0.1 is pretty effing tiny to work with.
0.04mm
@@hddrecoveryservices Dayum, looked tiny but of course cant tell on video.
Sony cameras are ruthless in formating
indeed :)
How did u figure out the pinout? You mentioned they’re not available from recovery companies ?
32channel logic analyzer
@@hddrecoveryservices i wish that was part of the video . But nice part 1 so far
Where is second part? And which multimeter you are using?❤
It's coming. Still have issues with final mix for the data
Always wondered if you have any videos working with a Satafirm S11 affected SSD.
I think I have
Wait, so when's the part 2 of this going to be coming?
In couple of days I think it will have it wrapped up. It was a hard case, many custom things so cutting it into 16-20 minute episode takes longer because I need to rewatch hours worth of clips
@hddrecoveryservices ah cool, thanks for the update! Looking forward to watching it when it's done.
Sony memory card format ho gaya hai recover ho jaega kya Sony camere se
As a Sony user, do you recommend formatting a card on Windows rather than inside the Camera?
it does not matter how you format it, just make sure you don't format important footage that is not backed up and you'd be good :)
Can I ship u a card? What is the price for the data recovery? Im from Denmark :D
Yes, 128gb is around 900$
The card's contents showing zeros doesn't actually mean they contain zeros as then the card would be wiped and non recoverable right ?
yes, exactly
Thanks Erkin your videos are always very interesting @@hddrecoveryservices
its like erasing data from SSDs with their software ?
yes
From a Hardware Hacker perspective quite nice....but 2.5k for a reader is too expensive for me :D
Fair enough! These tools make money quick :)
@@hddrecoveryservices last time i read a nand from a chip off attack, i programmed a raspberry pi pico and read the dump 5-6 times and built a quorum over the bytes, as i had problems with the reader....sometimes i wish i knew people with this software in my hometown and could share this tool :D
I learned a lot from your channel about data recovery and chip off techniques. thanks!
Hello sir , hope u doing great 👍🏻
I have a hdd which contains some bad sectors and it’s not working properly
Could u plz suggest for us a software tool that can fix or isolate these bad sectors
Thank you in advance 😊
Bad sectors are the death of the drive. It will get worse. Recover your data if you can, then recycle the drive.
@@tenmillionvolts The issue I'm facing is that I'm unable to copy the data, and the situation has worsened. It would be helpful to have a software solution that can assist in repairing the HDD sectors or at least enable me to copy the data to another location
Ideally, it needs to patched and then imaged. Not possible without tools for it. I would suggest professional help at this point. Anything DIY, at this point, can kill the drive prematurely
I used the cheapest wire I could find, which was from the transformer of an old microwave.
gets the job done :)
so where is 2nd part?
when the time comes it will be posted.
Link the Second Part Please
Editing was taking way longer as the process turned out to be way way harder. 2nd week of January we will have it up
@@hddrecoveryservices 👀 ..not giving up hope..
