One of the things I love the most about this channel is that SuperGT does not makes excuses, he is fully capable of recognizing when another driver makes the right decisions and takes the position. Even the best driver in the world can't be the best at every single car/circuit combination. Well done, mate! Cheers
I agree. That's what I like so much about him. He's not professing to be the greatest driver in the world and he doesn't just show him winning races and dominating etc. I think it really adds that human touch
Exactly. Super GT is a young man with the right attitude for sports. He is not whinging, making excuses or putting others down. This young man is a top bloke ✌
Yes he had bit failures in this track, but in last 4 years of playing Gran Turismo Sport he has always been respectful to other drivers with no stupid childish arrogance, when he lets past fast dude, when waste defending against fast driver that keeps the pressure up, so rather let him past and try get more speed from his fast slipstream. Super gt has been respectful driber since 2017, when he started to play this game and now this game is comming near death, when Granturismo 7 is comming out.
Near miss is correct because using near as an adjective implies that the second word is something that actually happened (so you missed, but you were near). Ie., you could also say big miss or fast miss or stupid miss, they are all you missing. Now, if you said you “nearly hit” that works, since it’s being used as an adverb the implication in this case is that the second word _didn’t_ happen. If you put nearly miss, for example, it sounds like you actually hit the thing. Anyway, I’m really over thinking it now, but I believe this is correct.
The fun thing about this is when it all get’s turned on it’s head by “near death experience”. Yes you were near death, but you didn’t die. If it followed the same pattern I described above it would have to be a “near life” experience. Gawd who even knows?
oh Super you're killing me at 15:16! I don't dare own these game systems or games, so I live my virtual racing career through you! thanks again for a great vid .
there needs to be a ranking for the hardest cars to drive in video games... the x1 proto from gt5, ruf yellowbird in gran turismo psp, shelby cobra in enthusia professional racing, and the police cop cars in gta 4 would def be in the list
It's comforting to see on your 1st race that you accidentally lost control there for a moment, because I was starting to think that you,(and every other racer that's always in the top spots), were simply not human, or possibly super-human!!! lol. Great stuff as always!!!
THANK YOU! AFTER 3 hours of qualifying laps on controller I bested at 3:34:700. I promptly lost my mind in the actual race and never actually crossed the finish line. I was so far behind
Steve i can tell you that the english and dutch had a very prosperous and friendly alliance stemming all the way back to the Anglo-dutch alliances of 1814 and 1824, along with the invitation of the William 3rd of the Dutch house of Orange-Nassau to become head of state in 1688. Basically the Dutch are our closest allies.
Hey man, thanks for the compliment! I got to admit I was kinda proud of that move around the outside :) Anyway, it was a pleasure racing against you and keep up the great content!!
Well done. The commitment required to race that car competitively at Le Mans is....impossible for me to describe. I can't do it and am not embarrassed to say it. You need to watch your blood pressure. That can't be good for you.
"Near Miss", ah, yeah, that. When I thought about why it was called that, it felt as though I had entered severe psychosis. In fact, my brain turned into Mountain Dew Baja Blast upon pondering this. It is indeed called a near miss, because, they got NEAR you, but missed. In other words, a near miss. As if to say, a close miss, which makes a lot more sense. Blame the English language, Steve.
It's a "near miss" because it was an object that missed you, but was near at the time. As opposed to a distant miss, which also missed you, but by a country mile
You could see 'near miss' this way; everything that doesn't make contact is technically a miss. If someone doesn't make contact and is 50 meters away, you wouldn't call that a 'near miss'. A near miss is when they miss, but they were indeed very close to you, so nearby!
Near-miss is a military term meaning a bomb strike missed the target, but was near enough to cause damage to that target. So the term should not be used in racing since there is no damage done when a ''near-miss'' occurs.
the english and the dutch did have an alliance in the Elizebethan era when the netherlands was under spanish rule and the english helped them rebel against them
Great vids Super GT. love the extremely dry-wit. Question. Are you using steering wheel and pedals for your GT races? Manual gear changes as well? I’m also a kart driver but looking at getting into virtual racing. Do you recommend a good racing wheel/pedal start up package. Regards.

Super gt bamboozeling: yes
Living in Momo's head rent free: absolutely
his ankles: shattered

16:40 that’s the racing equivalent of a cross over. And his ankles are absolutely shattered
Steve is the Kyrie Irving of the sim racing world confirmed
You were not wrong🤣
The boy got crossed up
Broke his ankles, er Axels, for sure.
Outside-inside-outside-inside-outside and finally take the inside line. Absolutely DONE.

And acknowledge his own mistakes on track. Not everyone can do that, but I guess that's what happens when you kart for years.

Shame that we are all paid actors.
999, I’d like to report an attack.
I was looking at my phone, thinking about what should I do and that notification from Super GT... Saved my boring night!!

Gawd who even knows?
That move on Momoz will be talked about for years to come. Greatest pass in GT Sport history?
If you see chaos or carnage in a supergt title you know it’s gonna be a good one
21:50 Those near perfectly synced gear changes, wow.
And WMurdoch and Aphelion are absolutely rapid in that last race!
The commentary was legendary this episode! And what a ankle breaker 16:40 sheeeesh
"I'm the filthiest driver on the grid" says Super GT while everyone else can see Momoz91 on the leaderboard.
Yes, Barry R. was happy to see you the first time, but you caught him in a rather foul mood the second time 😂
1:45 This has to be one of the best Moses effect moments I've seen from you for a while, even Barry.R was impressed

One of my favourite Super GT videos ever I think . Feeling absolutely BAMBOOZLED
Hah that overtake on Momoz was so good he lost three places

I was thinking about that near miss thing the other day! You’re absolutely right
Would never watch a real race, but I am watching one video after another of this British lad. Incredible.
The commentary on this one was top tier. Proper made me chuckle
Love the Momoz rivalry!
Always a great day when SuperGT destroys Momoz whole family via an overtake
The LEGEND! Momoz has come home lads. He’s returned.
My head snapped up when I heard you say Momoz was in the race. Couldn't have been more excited.
" angry swarm of bees" . Finding it impossible to unsee that now lmao 🤣
Cup of tea, couple of biscuits...its time for a super GT vid 🔥
I have never played gran turismo, but watching this with your commentary is so enjoyable. Cheers mate
I was quite surprised seeing momoz. Had Vietnam flashbacks
Hello Steve love your videos mate, been binge watching them recently, can't wait too see what happens in this vid
That overtakefor 4th place at the end of the second race resumed all the video ! Gg
I don't even play this game or any other racing game for that matter but I watch every one of your videos lol
Curse your sudden yet inevitable betrayal! 🤣
Le edit: Holy shit it's momoz, truly le mans is hallowed ground for motorsports!
SuperGT is so good at commentary I wish he’d commentate actual races
Good old friend Momoz back at it

that move on momo was godly . Barry.R would be pround
Laughed me so much in first race.😂🤣, almost good drive second race and third 'near miss'. ;-)
As someone who's been watching since Forza motorsport 4 I can confirm the chaos of the car track combo.
Great to see the fantastic reserve driver in action, go Chris!

Luv the carnage racing , keep up the good videos Steve 👍🏻✊🏻🏴🏴
2:50 definitely should be called a near hit. I've never thought about that lol
Is this the return of the legendary Momoz91!??!?!?!
2:50 Steve, you just blew my brain with your “near miss” comment...
barrier penalties are truly the definition of kicking a man while he is already down
2:43 never thought about that but that’s actually a good point
16:40
Chef kiss* just fabulous.
That car literally looks like a nightmare to drive tbh 😂
Didn't expect anything until at 13:37. The legend himself, Momoz91
Fire in the thumbnail is the best indicator that it'll be an entertaining video
It's a "near miss" because it was an object that missed you, but was near at the time. As opposed to a distant miss, which also missed you, but by a country mile
"but we all get through just about ok; like an angry sworm of bees, it looks messy but they kinda make it work"

never thought i'd see the return of momoz .... i like momos/dumplings a LOT
One of the most brutal penatly zones ive seen
16:04
*Momoz purposely driving in a way to get his competition a penalty*
Me: *surprised pikachu face*
That last race was hella difficult with 3 really really fast drivers!
It's a near hit not a near miss 😂🤦🏼♂️ I'm Glad I'm not the only one that thinks that way Steve lol
I avoid these races like a chickenpox party. Thanks for confirming my fears Steve. 😂
Momoz91 is a lot cleaner than the last time he was featured in one of your videos.
“Why go around someone when you can just go through them?” Man, Scott Speed is really rubbing off on Steve.
glad to see your rivalty with momoz back on video .. its been a while
10:58 "perpendicular meeting with Barry R."

Rest in peace
@@Super_GT I will... perpendicularly.
Difficult to drive easily, makes sense. I've raced this car in Assetto Corsa in VR and it's pretty intense lol.
juked momoz into the shadow realm, broke his axels. XD;.
That last move was just nasty sheesh
I always enjoy your videos, your commentary is spectacular. You should get into commentating real races, I would tune in just to hear it!!

agreed the car feels very stiff like its not made for turns but has a ton of downforce
Finally... someone acknowledges the conundrum that is... a "near miss" lol
lol that overtake on momoz very nice
I saw the X2019 in the thumbnail and INSTANTLY knew what this video was going to be like.
The super GT effect has returned🤔👍
Pure carnage, pure malice, pure chaos. Barry was a busy man.
That pass on momo was the dirtiest clean thing I have ever seen.
16:45 ankles: taken
Career: over
Momoz: 91 of the them crying themselves to sleep
Also, fun fact: Aphellion's qualli time nearly tied with the Qualifying Track Record IRL.
He Made that X2019 drive like TS050. Holy

Question.
Are you using steering wheel and pedals for your GT races? Manual gear changes as well?
I’m also a kart driver but looking at getting into virtual racing. Do you recommend a good racing wheel/pedal start up package.
Regards.
this race had shadow realm written on it
It was actually frustrating just watching those mistakes
Absolutly insane speed
About the near miss thing. You should think about it as if someone missed you and he was near you, so it was near and a miss
I feel like I've learned more about the mental approach a pro racer uses versus someone who is into it as a hobby
These cars sound like the pain of hitting a scooter on your shin
2:42 "Near miss" part reminds me of George Carlin's bit on weird things in the English language....One of his more intellectual pieces in comedy...
Thank you for good race
Albon trying and driving everything he can to show Helmut and Christian that he deserves the Red Bull seat.
