Hi, I'm Holly! Welcome to my Hip Surgery video series. Keep in mind... I am NOT a doctor, EVERYONE is different, and this is just me sharing MY journey.
Thanks for posting these videos! I had my surgery last week, Aug 24th. So far so good. Watching your videos definitely helped me prepare. I've posted a couple videos in hopes sharing my story can help others as well.
Thank you so much for your videos! I was not prepared at all until I watched your video. My surgeries a bit different. I have a gluteus medius tear partial tear on the right side but two weeks ago I fell in the backyard and rolled my left ankle and I’ve been in a boot and when I fell, I fell on my right hip so I’m a mess! Did you ever use one of those ice pack things that wraps around your hip? Or do I even need ice? I made a list of everything you said I’m going to need. And I think the terror probably is a bit worse since I fell. Your channel has been very helpful. ❤
Awesome sounds like a piece of cake. I’ve had several surgeries, so this is good news for me. I can’t say that I enjoy it but if it’s necessary, it is what it is from what I understand the knee surgery is one of the more annoying ones. the shoulder definitely sucked lots of physical therapy every single day for 14 months
Thanks for sharing your experience on your surgery it gave me some good ideas when I have mine this December 16th . I know that the surgeon told me to come back to see him the next day so he can change the dressing and put on a water Proof . Thanks again hopefully you healed good.
I had my operation 8 days ago and now I have this uncomfortable pain/pressure at the back of the femur/hip joint. It feels like I'm sat on something thats digging in me if that makes sense🤷🏻♀️ just a very strange feeling and now I'm freaking out I've done something wrong and ruined my surgeons work😩 I know the exercise makes my pain worse but I just want my life back. 4plus years of waiting for this operation.
@@raphaelramires5347 it's okay thanks. Took me two days to begin my exercises, also when you are stood up remembering not to twist. It's hard to sleep as well if you can't sleep laying in your back.
@@britvic4334 There is good content on RUclips about recovery on FAI surgery. I also found a great channel about getting over FAI without surgery at all (but it takes some effort)
@@raphaelramires5347 I have Ehlers danlos syndrome also so it makes it quite complicated plus I'll need a hip replacement soon they just don't want to do it yet because I'm to young
Hi so I have cysts and maybe fai and if I do do surgery would I be able to go back to sports in one to two weeks since I’m in a prime time to get videos for college for soccer and need this summer so I don’t want the surgery to get into the way of that please let me know your insight ma’am
I’m having my labrum repaired next week. I’m super nervous! Glad you’re doing good! 🤗

Hi! Thank you for your videos! Have you been suggested to prepare yourself doing any exercise to enhance your muscles before being operated?

What pregnancy pillow do you recommend?
I just realized on your pictures of the surgery site that you had a reconstruction, not just a simple repair.
Hi, could you show your scars, how they look like nowadays? I'm very scared of the hip arthroskopy
I'm getting the same surgery next week. When did you start physical therapy?
How did it go? I go in tomorrow and live alone
Is there anyway I can email you Im having similar issues and can use some advice and your thoughts
I have a doodle also!
