Love my tangies, and I really wanna try out the kiwis aswell. I've tried glorious pandas and silent tactile bobas but they are just to rounded and pronounced. I'm really enjoying my subtle tactile fankenswitches I made with mx brown stems in boba housing, and I'm starting to realize I like more subtle tactile switches. I'm predicting we will see a new wave of subtle tactile becoming more popular in the market soon
I definitely think you'd prefer these over the big, wide bump on the Bobas. If you like more subtle bumps in general, though, you might actually prefer the Dragonfruits. I think the only thing BT got wrong in this otherwise perfect video was when he mentioned them; they actually have a much more subdued bump than Kiwis. It's about the same size, but feels shorter because of the lower force. I think the only downside to the DF's is that they do have more wobble than the other Fruit switches so far; I give them credit for being a nice middle-ground tactile in a market full of strong ones but the quality, while totally decent, isn't up to par with Tangerines or Kiwis.
@@dhoffnun yeah, I’m interested in trying the dragon fruit, I heard they’re basically a mx clear with less spring weight, which sounds awesome. Glad to see people I this hobby are branching out from the conventional tactile switch design and trying out different possibilities.
@@aminmw5258 Yes ruclips.net/video/dUxweIMKnBw/видео.html It's what the glorious panda should have been. It has barely any wobble, reported to have no leaf ping issue, and is of course pcb mount.

Loving my NK65 with TK.C Dragonfruit switches, despite the slight wobble I've got them filmed and lubed. Might have to pick up some Kiwis for my cheaper 70% amazon board to replace the Outemu browns that came with it....
I know I'm a little late here but is it unheard of to swap out the T1 stem for Halo True stem into the Kiwi housing as a frankenstein switch? I'm fairly new to the hobby and about to start my second build on a fresh Kbd75v2 with foam and ordering 100 of these Kiwis and had a bunch of Drop HP's laying around. Idk I just love tactile switches. What do you think?
Having had both the HP and Kiwi's; I agree, I prefer the sound of the HP's. But I prefer the Kiwis tactile bump and overall typing feel. Especially at stock pre filmed. And (not so) sadly, the sound comes second to typing feel for me. And the sounds can get pretty close once you start lubing and filming yourself.

Is it just me or did the sound tests sound a little weird, almost like the audio compression was a little messed up. I tried two different headphones and it didn't make a difference.
im on the fence between glorious pandas and these kiwi switches. i play video games a lot (first-person shooters mainly) and i want a tactile switch that will be comfortable for doing that. any thoughts on which switch would be better?
well... For the price i would choose the kiwi switches, they sound better for gaming and for tiping probably holy pandas, and they are factory lubed, sooo, yeah, i personaly choose kiwi (i know, it's been 2 minutes from the last comment, but a research really fast xd)
I'm just getting into mechs (just leaving my blue switch phase... please help me), and I was wondering what you'd recommend for someone who doesn't know much about soldering? are there any keyboards that come with these switches? they sound awesome! if not, are there any pre-built keyboards with similar sounds that you could recommend? i'm sorry if this isn't your area of expertice! i found your channel last week;;
Prebuilts usually come with Cherry or Gateron switches, and They are usually Blue (Clicky), Black/Red (Linear), or Tactile like these (Brown only, pretty much). The best thing to do is get a hotswappable keyboard so you can swap out switches without soldering. GK61x is the cheapest and best starter hotswappable board and you can buy the kit for like 50$ or so, then buy 70 switches for around 40$ of whatever kind you want. You just pop them into the board and you are done. (add keycaps, of course. Cheap sets on Aliexpress are 20-40$ for cool designs.)
They are not, I have both. Zealios V2 are still the most tactile switch but they come with crap springs that have so much ping and crunch stock. Kiwis are just T1 switches in a different colorway, from what I can see and feel. Just my opinion though!
And now The Key Dot Company has changed their pack sizes from 10 switches to 25, which means people will have to pay for more extra switches that they don't need.
I just bought some gateron yellow caps switches and now I want these. Not sure to go with some glorious pandas later. I'm not even sure if I want linears or táctiles!! Where my #hotswaphoe gang at??!!
Love Caps - typing on them now. Between Pandas and Kiwis, Kiwis all day for me. I love them both but there aren't many tactiles I'd choose over the green bois right now.
@@dhoffnun do you know if they have interference with cherry profile keycaps? I'm tempted to get an Akko cherry profile keyset and lately that topic has come out a bit on reddit and other videos with regards to cherry profile keysets.

When I got my Kiwis from the first drop I tried every different popular combination of lube and films and this is without a doubt the best setup. When you nail it you will know. These switches wake up more than anything I have ever felt when you get them tuned right.
