It always suck when I come across channels like yours. So much information given but lil views.
I know you are doing it for the right reasons(to help others in hobby) so I hope your channel one day gets the recognition it deserves.
I purchased this Tx a lil awhile ago for all my nitros(I like that I can store many models) Plus I had the previous one so I got a discount on Aliexpress when purchasing this one.
Recently I decided to not only bash my Felony and get it upgraded for speed ones. Your video helped me get that throttle delay set up and I just hit my PB of 107mph. I set it to give a 7 second delay, when so smoothly.
I like on that on RC8X we can instant brake without delay vs the RC6GS.
Appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. I watched many, there all very helpful while still being entertaining to keep us tuned in.
    Keep up the great work!

Love steering delay for crawlers, which makes it look more realistic. Your FPV for on Speed run cars is brilliant

Totally agree, delay adds lots of realism for certain functions. Airplanes use delay frequently for dropping the flaps.

Great follow up video! Thanks for going over some of the most important “safety” aspects of speed running. Too many new to RC guys have been jumping right into 150mph+ without truly understanding the dangers associated. The failsafe mode is another great feature that allows the driver to pre-program radio so that IF signal is lost for any reason, the throttle can be set to braking at whatever value is stored. This is paramount and can save a car, structure or bodily injury. The only draw back here is that the ESC must support this feature to work properly, so bench testing is highly recommended before relying on this feature. I actually just purchased a crossfire that uses the DSC port to easily utilize the module instead of my radiolink signal. It also requires a crossfire receiver. The diversity lineup of receivers are plug and play.

Good point on the failsafe. I set this to full brake. It's not something that really crosses my mind as at the local flying club its mandatory to program on every plane before flying it.

requirement no.1 is a large pile of spare parts...pretty sure speed running created by spares companies...

Were you ever able to complete a range check on this one? If so, is it similar to the RC6G? Appreciate all you are doing for the culture and the community!! You have amazing info on the channel

Ummmmm yes you can use a 2s lipo in either the dx5c or pro lol just have to remove battery tray and solder your own connector and it works. I have a 2S 3000 mAh gnb in mine

Nice and informational video, I have an RC8X but i have issues with the signal range it seems to lose signal strength i run my cars that i have the receivers installed in around my neighborhood and once i ran my X-Maxx with this radio at an apartment field. Possible wi-fi signal interference from the neighborhood? or something else?

We don't trust 2.4GHz for speed runs over 150 mph. We hook up LRS systems to our Futaba 10PX radios with aircraft LRS receivers. I personally use an older Crossfire LRS system hooked up to my Futaba. It gives you rage for 10 10-mile line of site. We can't take any chances with 2.4 GHz at those speeds with RC cars that cost more than a mortgage payment, lol. I just pre-ordered the Futaba 10PX USL 10 Channel Limited edition. So stoked to get it. Hopefully soon.

You are not the first to mention this. I find it very interesting. When it comes to the idea of range it is very different in the car scene than the jet scene. The jet crowd never really worries about range in the sense of getting "miles" of it. I've literally never seen a jet guy run a modded radio, they are all stock from all different manufactures. Jet guys tend to run the fastest (peak & avg speeds) RC's in the hobby, cover the greatest amount of distance and radius from the radio and are the most expensive RC's in the hobby. Reliability is very critical otherwise it's all over really quickly with 100% loss. I don't hear of radio issues in this scene.
Hope the 10PX works well for you! Looks like a winner for sure!

personally I don't like the lipo battery trend of surface transmitters....that is why I got the RC6GSv3 (also price of course)
I don't want my radio occupying slots on my lipo charger
I modded the RC6GSv3 to use two 21700 cells which give me more 2.5x capacity compared to eneloop AA and it only weights 479g compared to my old Spektrum DX3R with 4*AA and I can charge them while all my main lipos are charging on my lipo charger

Unrelated question. Where do you buy your tunigy graphene packs? The only distributer I can find is HobbyKing and I've heard some horror stories from that website. Thoughts?

I use steering expo to slow my servo speed for the steering.

Nice, I too use it and a lot of it (more than 50%) to lessen the sensitivity. I'm also using a small amount of delay too.
