Within Temptation's sixth studio album 'Hydra' is out now and features collaborations with several well-known artists: Tarja, Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum), Howard Jones (Ex-Killswitch Engage), and rapper Xzibit, for the track 'And We Run'.
When Robert and Sharon visited LA and New York, earlier this year, they also met up with X to talk about what must be the most remarkable feature on the new album.
In this second part of the interview Xzibit, Robert and Sharon talk about the writing process, the story the song tells and what's yet to come.

I simply love it.
I'm not a big fan of rap but I have to admit this song is one of my favorites in the Album!! I was kind of worried when I first heard about this collaboration but it ended up working great.

Xibit,paparazzi,pimp my ride,X is a legend but most amazingly he can punch down a 4 foot thick concrete wall, he is the only artist in the entire hiphop genre that was chosen by WT the band that just happens to be ultimately the best symph/metal band on the planet and that alone speaks for its self.
Rap/metal works but just like Sharon said that people stay in there little box,those people are blind or arrogant to realize rap/metal works,now the sound track to a movie "judgement night"it has around 12 rap/rock/metal coll-abed songs there the prime example a title song called judgement night by onyx and bio-hazard.
Now take note that there are 2 youths with the likes that off criss cross but with shaved heads,they are a young band who write music with metal riffs rappin and singing,they will be the ones to spawn a new genre of rap/metal and people will then be like damm where have these kids being hiding out.
All of it... wonderful!!! Would LOVE to see a video done with this and have the opportunity to see them all perform it live in North America!! Definitely something to look forward too! \m/
