Don't want to have to wait another 7 years for them.

FenderSchonJPX Dont judge rap based on stupid mainstream MTV junk you hear. I live Metal but i listen to heaps of different non mainstream genres. Immortal Technique. Jedi Mind Tricks, Necro, ICP, King Gordy, Twiztid, Gravediggaz, Diabolic, Supreme NTM ( split up), IAM, Wu Tang Clan are some of many great Rap artists out there. Some have great message and some are a bit more tabbo, kind of like Death Metal but in Rap form :)
No judging here… just dont like it, I too like a lot of different genres most of which dont have the "pathetic attitude-think im cooler than life" thing going incessantly on

Я вчера случайно пересматривал Within Temptation и вдруг смотрю погодите ка а не та ли это Шарон которая поёт в миксе у Армина ван Бюрена? Вау так она ещё и рэп и трэнс и металл умеет. Респектище!
symphonic metal is the last metal genre i'd expect to collaborate with rap music yet it fits in really great together this song really opens a lot of doors for symphonic metal and that's what's most important
Chrysa Souli I have a couple of Xzibit's cd' s and you can tell in some of his stuff he would be more willing to attempt it, guess that's why they spoke with him about doing the collab.
@@michaelgeick8096 people argue over it a ton. Where Metallica was once considered metal, now most don't consider it hard enough. I personally think when people get so consumed in genre labeling it defeats the point, which is just enjoying each song you enjoy.
You ain't the only one, my friend. I think the song speaks to something eternal in the human heart and it is composed and performed so beautifully across multiple genres that it draws in the spectrum of our shared experiences as it does so.
Funny Fact: When Within Temptation asked Xzibit about doing this song together he just thought: Who the hell is "Within Temptation"? When he found out, he couldnt imagine, how Rap and Metal should worked out together, but he tried anyway and he was very pleased by the outcome.
"When he found out, he couldnt imagine, how Rap and Metal should worked out together" Xzibit has a song called Napalm, from 2012, that sounds like some 90s sludge metal with rap vocals. He clearly knows that metal and rap work together.
Yes I have seen it great video and an amazing song I can't wait to get the new Cd you guys always sound amazing I really do love all the music you've made.
Yes and i play it over and over jacoby shaddix from papa roach really put a nice twist on it. I shared it with a friend and he liked it so much he pre-ordered the new album.
As a huge fan of both genres, I remember being so surprised when this was released. Then I got super excited. This exceeded all my expectations and still blows me away everytime I listen
He talked about that in an interview. Basically, he has no idea who Within Temptation was, but some of the band members thought it would be cool to do a track with him. He looked up their music and was shocked that they would contact him, being a metal band and all. However, he liked their stuff, and agreed to collaborate, leading to this awesome song
DarthScorpio11 tell me about it. I had a roomate for a time who was very close minded about it. He was a metal head and he would get angry at the presence of rap anywhere, especially when they act in a movie. He got mad when he saw Tupac Shakur in a movie. when I explaiend to him that before pac was a rapper, he was a student at a performance art school and had taken classical acting courses as well as 3 musical instruments (bass, guitar and piano). "well fuck you! Im a metalhead" with extreme bias. I even said that there are likely performers in the metal and Rock genre who enjoy some rap, he called them sell outs. and the fucked up thing about it is...my roomate was black. I am gonna sound bias, but I swear rap gets shitted on the most by detracters. I know poeple that say "Rap degrades women" I am pretty sure that there are some rock or metal songs that do as well....I mean alot of rock songs from the 1980s showed strippers just as much as a rap video from the 1990s. "rap is full of violent and evil content..." and black metal/death metal doesnt?" "rap is not music because they do not actually sing...." So the growling and shreking in death metal qualifies as singing? and dont get me wrong, I like some metal and allot of rock, but come on to say one genre is a more legit source of entertaintment music is just plain ignorant. oh and heres my favorite one from the detracters, I hear this one from teenage boys mosty... "rap doesnt have the guitar and what kind of music doesnt include the guitar?"....um, classical, opera, jazz, swing, big band? I'm sure that not all metal fans are racist (well the ones into National Socialist Black Metal certainly are...) but I do think that there is a bit of an us vs them mentality...when one genre becomes more prominent in the media, the fans really have to over compensate by closing the doors and being angry about it. on the other end of the spectrum. where you have metalhead who hate and dispise rap/R&B...your average fan of Rap or R&B is unaware of most metal bands. In my experience, once introduced they start to like it. Its hard to introduce a quality rap song or group or artist to a your average metal head. but this all based on my personal experience.
Its nice to see something different and adding rap just adds a completely new dynamic and its done so well that it doesnt take all the focus and it still feels like a within temptation song ^^

No time for tears Celebrate Put it in the air right now! Never back down You could never wear my crown Cause it weighs too much And I crush Every muthafuckin thing I touch This is love I've never loved so much! Get involved Make the world stand up! Give my life Before I ever give up "Name in lights" you lost all my trust Now it's time to face all of us Get in line cause they callin' us And it feels so marvelous Just take my hand and RUN! [Chorus:] And we run With a lonely heart And we run, for this killing love And we run, 'till the heavens above Yeah we run Running in the dark And we run, 'till we fall apart And we run, 'till the heavens above Yeah! Xzibit drops the best rap I've ever heard in the middle of my favorite band are you kidding me?
god i fucking love this song
There is few moments that the feel of the music gives me the chills and this is one of them. Very cool collab.
And We Run (feat. Xzibit)
It burns into your heart the darkness that you fear
You were never free and you never realized
And love is a word you never heard
Your heart ain't cold, 'cause it burns
A desire to leave the mire
Take your breath 'till nothing's left
Scars of life upon your chest
And I know wherever it goes
And we run, with a lonely hearts
And we run, for this killing love
And we run, 'till the heavens above
Yeah we run, running in the dark
And we run, 'till we fall apart
And we run, 'till the heavens above
Don't blink, you'll miss it
Lift up your head
We gotta get gone
Yeah, we outta here
Don't blink, you'll miss it
Lift up your head
Too late, we gone
Yeah, we outta here
And we run, with a lonely heart
And we run, for this killing love
And we long for a heavenly heart
I'ma break these chains, run thru the rain
Never look back, never quit, work thru the pain
This blood in my veins runs cold
When I think I'll never be the same, but I never lose hope
This is my time now, no time for tears
Celebrate, put it in the air right now
Never back down
You could never wear my crown 'cause it weighs too much

E Corremos (part. Xzibit)
E corremos, corremos no escuro
E corremos até desmoronarmos
E corremos até o paraíso
Não pisque ou você vai perder
Levante sua cabeça
Temos que ir embora
Sim, sair daqui
Não pisque ou você vai perder
Levante sua cabeça
Tarde demais, nós já fomos embora
Sim, sair daqui
Nunca desista
Você nunca poderia usar a minha coroa porque pesa muito
E eu destruo tudo que toco
Isto é amor, nunca amei tanto
Envolva-se, faça o mundo levantar
Dar minha vida, antes de desistir
Famosão, você perdeu toda a minha confiança
Agora é hora de enfrentar todos nós
Entre na fila pois estão nos chamando
E é tão maravilhoso
Apenas pegue minha mão e corra
E corremos com um coração solitário
E corremos por este amor mortal
E corremos até o paraíso acima
E corremos, e corremos no escuro
E corremos até desmoronarmos
E corremos para o paraíso
Não pisque ou você vai perder
Levante sua cabeça
Temos que ir embora
Sim, sair daqui
Não pisque ou você vai perder
Levante sua cabeça
Tarde demais, nós já fomos embora
Sim, sair daqui
E corremos com um coração solitário
E corremos por este amor mortal
E ansiamos por um coração celestial
Não pisque ou você vai perder
Levante sua cabeça
Temos que ir embora
Sim, sair daqui
Não pisque ou você vai perder
Levante sua cabeça
Tarde demais, nós já fomos embora
Sim, sair daqui

did not expect Xzibit to be in a band like this and I love his part
Her voice is just unbelievable, everytime I think she can't get any better she tops herself again. Normally I can't stand Hip Hop stuff, but dang if they don't make it work here. Love the contrast between her angelic voice and his tough and rough street voice. This band is so creative it's amazing after all these years to just keep knocking out great songs to listen to and get pumped up for. Wish so much they would get more respect in America. Don't want to have to wait another 7 years for them.
They're touring in the US now
HamazingKayliee Yeah just saw them in Denver, Great show, nice small venue with Amaranthe another favorite of mine. Hope they make it back next year or the following at the latest. Hope you get to see them where you are at.
FenderSchonJPX I'm seeing them this weekend with Amaranthe:)
No judging here… just dont like it, I too like a lot of different genres most of which dont have the "pathetic attitude-think im cooler than life" thing going incessantly on
This is by far one of the all time best collaborations EVER. I am not a fan of rap music but holy crap this is epic. Just amazing. I actually loved it the first time I heard years ago and was blown away.
Thank you for your kind words Michelle!
I had no expectations cause I had no idea of what to expect, but this just made me chocked for how good it is!
6 years ago I was sceptical about a collaboration between WT and Xzibit. Now, this turns out to be the most memorable song from the entire album
same for me
Same :(
Silver Moonlight, Tell Me Why, Let Us Burn are more memorable.

Yes, but honestly, the album is quite weak.

Yeah, Sharon can sing amazing)
2:22 Best moment … when Sharon’s angelic voice comes back and mixes with the rapping ❤
Xzibit has a metal voice quality. The blend of Sharon and Xzibit makes this song golden. Thumbs Up.
I've been a huge fan of Within Temptation since 2000 (Mother Earth) and I really like Xzibit as a singer, rapper and actor too. And both combined is a feast for the ears, plus this very strong message. Thank you for this great song, which became my absolute favorite song.
💎👑🌎🌍🌏😅😉👍🤝😉😇
XZIBIT é um rapper lendário e também um dos maiores letristas!
A Sharon é uma maravilha de mulher! (Seu timbre é indiscutível)
Still can't believe how good this song is...years later!
Really enjoy the fusion between rock/metal & classical with elements of rap. Creative and exciting, thanks Within Temptation
So underrated. This gives you so much power. The symphony, the voice and the rap. It all fitts.
This is one of those songs that give me an awesome feeling that I can't quite put in words. I get tears of joy every time I listen/watch this. It's such an inspirational song.

It's happening, great Awakening!
I dont like rap that much, but this combination is awesome
symphonic metal is the last metal genre i'd expect to collaborate with rap music
yet it fits in really great together
this song really opens a lot of doors for symphonic metal and that's what's most important
Chrysa Souli I have a couple of Xzibit's cd' s and you can tell in some of his stuff he would be more willing to attempt it, guess that's why they spoke with him about doing the collab.
in my opinion was this not metall what they did
@@michaelgeick8096 people argue over it a ton. Where Metallica was once considered metal, now most don't consider it hard enough. I personally think when people get so consumed in genre labeling it defeats the point, which is just enjoying each song you enjoy.
Hated it. Rap is the plague of music.
@@Damesanglante If you cry any harder, you're going to get sued for flood damage. Don't listen to it if you don't like it.
New favorite song. Makes me cry for some reason. This is Perfection
You ain't the only one, my friend. I think the song speaks to something eternal in the human heart and it is composed and performed so beautifully across multiple genres that it draws in the spectrum of our shared experiences as it does so.
Funny Fact:
When Within Temptation asked Xzibit about doing this song together he just thought:
Who the hell is "Within Temptation"?
When he found out, he couldnt imagine, how Rap and Metal should worked out together, but he tried anyway and he was very pleased by the outcome.
Who the hell is Xzibit, man? lol
Is X that far out of the game, he didn’t know how this would work?
Israel Delgado Laborda - He's the PImp my ride guy on TV... where they fix up cars that were totally trashed...
"When he found out, he couldnt imagine, how Rap and Metal should worked out together"
Xzibit has a song called Napalm, from 2012, that sounds like some 90s sludge metal with rap vocals. He clearly knows that metal and rap work together.
he respectfully told them he will let them know. once he heard some of their music he was blown away and called them up and told them he was in
This is "The Beaty and the Beast" in its whole glory.
I don't know why rap isn't always done with metal guitar, this is awesome
POD did good with it
in my opinion it destroyed the song... :D but thats just me
metal and rap somethingl new wow........
lol never heard of a group named "Linkin Park"!?! Just an example...
and run dmc anthrax and on and on lol
Mad respect to all bands to allow rap genre to flourish along the metal scene
No matter what, don't ever lose your greatness. Choose Love. Choose light. Its never too late. Thats what i think when i see this video.
The last time i've seen a combination like this was in 90's eurodance music. So may I call this eurometal? This music is damn good.
This is beautiful
Namaste I send a hug full of good vibes to everyone who is suffering in silence... don't give up, better days will come.
This song could be a theme for a amazing futuristic movie
Hell no for futuristic. It doesn't have a futuristic feel to it. Maybe cave punk, modern fantasy, or some video game music.
@@2k963 have i asked for you opinion?

Yes and i play it over and over jacoby shaddix from papa roach really put a nice twist on it. I shared it with a friend and he liked it so much he pre-ordered the new album.
I find this song so shockingly beautiful. It's such an unlikely combo, but integrated so perfectly. Just mmm. -chefs kiss- I approve.
As a huge fan of both genres, I remember being so surprised when this was released. Then I got super excited. This exceeded all my expectations and still blows me away everytime I listen
I wonder what Xzibit's reaction was when they contacted him to make a guest appearance. and did he pimp their ride
DarthScorpio11 gotta admit, that pretty cool as I enjoy both their music.
darkservantofheaven
Yeah, some people in the metal community are super close minded and some are just downright racist. It's too bad.
His reaction was: How much money we are talking about?
Perfection, WT are the only musicians who never disappoint me.
The rap part actually blended in well with the song.
FINALLY someone said it.
Darkrise714
I agree! Love the rap part with Sharon's voice in the background
I agree, but I still don't really like it, I rarely like rap anyways, they could have made this a really cool song, but ehh
I just didn't like the womens singing.
Its nice to see something different and adding rap just adds a completely new dynamic and its done so well that it doesnt take all the focus and it still feels like a within temptation song ^^
"And We Run"
(feat. Xzibit)
It burns into your heart
The darkness that you fear
You were never free
And you never realized
And love is a word
You never heard
Your heart ain't cold, 'cause it burns
A desire to leave the mire
Take your breath
'Till nothing's left

Cause it weighs too much
And I crush

Xzibit grow in my eyes. Really good job with Sharon
It's been 8 years and I still can't get enough of it♡ Greatest song of this century, honestly. It accompanied me in so many different situations in life, some of them joyful, some of them depressing. If there is one thing that reminds me of how fascinating life can be, it's this song. I'll be forever thankful to Within Temptation and Xzibit💜

I dont know why, but this song brings me tears, not because of saddness and I dont think it's Joy too, just emotions spilling over
this song: faith in humanity restored!

Why would metal and rap be enemies when we could be friends and make wonderful music together? Greetings from Texas 💙
On the surface it is an odd pairing, but dammit it works so damned well!
Within Temptation and Xzibit is quite possibly one of the best collaborations ever.
Such a very beautiful, sensitive and precious song, I love this!!

two artists i never could really picture until now

I agree, both Sharon and Liv Kristine have an angelic voice, while Floor is a bit more of a Siren.
I was going to go with a "Pimp My Euro Symphonic Metal" line, but Xzibit actually rises above that on this song and shows what he was originally known for.
Nice, punchy contrast of his rap to Sharon's lead.
This woman is the queen of music

His deep voice offsets Sharon del Aden's soaring vocals so well, it's like he was made for this song.
Plus, the dude looks like he could actually break down a wall with his bare hands.
Loving the Metal and Rap collab. Honestly would love to see more of it.
Back in the 90s they made a really forgettable movie called "Judgment Night". Don't watch the movie, but look for the soundtrack. It contains what you seek.
not exactly what you want , but there is a hiphop/opera collaboration , Hiphop meets classic.
Lucky we're in Europe, so most of our music is not like that, and u know what? Charles Darwin used to say that you evolve or die, and for evolvin u have to change, and there in the west they still with the same, so we could say proudly that, right now, we (and maybe others) are the ones that bring variety to music so it can evolve. What a shame this isn't played on radio so often U_U
metal? lol try again
The soundtrack to this movie is amazing! Al lot of music like this song.
This video was amazing when it came out, it's amazing now. They Could make a movie out of these two And it probably would be a Hit
