Ermm I don't agree because she has mats... I have a Ragdoll male cat and he is three I brush him every day at least 3 minutes maybe once a week like a full 5 minute and wash him only once a year and if it is really needed, always dry him good after and brush when he is absolutely dry and never ever had problems with clumps of fur.... He is absolutely gorgeous and we love him dearly. Expensive cat to feed I must say...our Sapphire is quite bigger than her xP
@@arcaine3907 Different Ragdolls have different coat textures and grooming habits. I have multiple and some of mine get mats easily and others almost never do. Also, older cats and cats with health issues groom less so you can have a cat go from no mats to frequent matting.
So happy I found this! It’s exactly what my ragdolls need, their bibs always end up in their mouths and need a proper brushing daily. Hopefully I can attempt this at home!
This cat is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!! I’m obsessed with ragdolls and everything about them! I cannot wait to finally have my own Ragdoll kitten soon getting one in early June 🐱🌻💛👑
Thank you for being a good groomer who doesn't always put these cats in the bathtub they don't always need it. My cat for instance is a mixed Maine Coon he has short hair in some areas and medium length hair in others I brush him every single day and twice a month I use an all-natural shampoo leave in and brush out by vetss best. Put it in let it dry a little and brush it out and his coat never has dandruff never smells is always beautiful shiny and healthy He rarely ever itches or scratches He's the epitome of the healthy coated cat and he does not take baths not in the water anyway like I said believe in shampoo and brush out does just fine there are people who are determined to put these cats in the water once a month and strip out all of their natural oils then they wonder why their cats have terrible dry skin and dandruff
She looks just like my sweet girl Lucy Loo! We adopted her in December and I noticed she might be over grooming her self around her neck area. She used to have a big long bib around her neck that is now almost all gone, looking a bit choppy. Any advice or knowledge around that? I should take her to a groomer!
Hi there, I was wondering if I got my ragdoll trimmed like this beautiful cat, would his fur come back darker? Does that only happen when you trim it too short?
Hiya Gillian, the majority of cats coats don't alter with clipping, it is just the odd one or two! In fact, I have had a long haired tabby cat go blonder, it looks like she has had lots of highlights!
Gosh I am SO SO glad I found your video today. I just found your handling of Penny wonderfully helpful for when I attempt a similar bib trim for my little Ragdoll who has the same problem when eating. He also needs a sanitary clip really and I will find treating his occasional underarm knots easier I believe since seeing this. Can you please let me know which clipper this is. It looks like a Wahl Bravura? Amanda
How lovely - a Ragdoll. Your baby is gonna get the full works now - I can see it coming! Yes my clippers are indeed the Wahl Bravura clippers and I use the adjustable blades - there are 5 different lengths I can go to. However, I hardly ever go past the first 2 as the others are very close to the skin and s what a vet would use for shaving for surgery.
You are doing an amazing job, calming and handling the cats! Watched a few videos now and I guess if I were a cat, Id be trusting you with my fur too heh :) Im wondering, I have a short-ish haired tomcat (his fur isnt super short but its not nearly as long as those of long-haired cats) but he has incredibly dense fur and I feel like hes suffering a lot during summer. Is there anything I could do for him?
coats are designed to keep them cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter, It is us that worry about them overheating. Quite often, if they are feeling a little warm, they will lay their tummies on a cold surface. IHowever, you can help by thinning the coat down by using the moulting comb to remove any excess fur that is trapped in the coat and then finishing off with the zoom groom. You will get a lot away with the zoom groom alone, start off gently and then work up to being a bit firmer so that you are removing the dead fur. Good luck.

I believe it keeps the energy very calm all round. Whether that be for me, the cat or the owner. I usually play cat reiki/healing music. Every little helps in remaining calm in the presence of the cats. They are so quick to pick up on bad energy!
I understand it if you have a really long-haired cat with a flat nose that cannot groom itself or for some reason you have a cat that doesn't groom then I can see maybe putting them in the water every 3 months but other than that a dry shampoo once a month or even every couple of months if they are an indoor cat and stay clean themselves is fine. If your cat is not itching and scratching and that coat looks good and you see them grooming and you're brushing them at least every other day then you probably do not need to take them to a groomer usually a cat only needs to be submerged if they have a lot of icky poo stuck to their butt maybe from being sick or something of that nature cats are a miracle their tongues are made for cleaning for I saw a groomer on here earlier saying cats don't clean themselves they just lick themselves both tongues are made for tearing apart meat from the bone and for cleaning themselves That's why they have those tongues those rough tongues. I think it's cruel to over breed cats and make them flat-faced like with the Persians so they cannot clean themselves because Cass love to groom it's part of their nature it's part of who they are anyway I don't like to judge I'm just saying most cats will groom themselves and all you need to do is brush them really well and maybe use a put in and brush out dry shampoo once or twice a month and they will do just fine
Yes the clippers can nick the skin! I have had many emergency jobs where the owner has tried to clip their own cat because it looked easy on the videos they'd watched online. You have to know what you are doing where the clippers are concerned.
Hiya Pete, and thanks for watching my channel. Well to be honest, I would only ever recommend specialist animal clippers as they are designed for the job in hand. I use Bravura Wahl animal clippers and they have been my faithful clippers for the past 5-6 years! Never had a problem with them. Hope that helps.
I would think it would be easier to get a cat on its back if they were placed in a long basket so they'd feel secure on their back and give 'em a bit of a treat. Looked a bit choppy at the end.
Beautiful sweet natured cat, and lovely kind caring groomer ❤
Awesome job ! Best groomer on here for not soaking every single cat in the tub . Some definitely need it .. but most do not
Now that is a cat that is taken care of by the owner. She looks like she has been pampered like a Queen just they are supposed to be treated! 👍🏻
Absolutely!

They are truly the sweetest and the best cats! I have 2 ❤
Beautiful little girl 🩷
Love how kind and gentle you are ❤
you have a wonderful way with the cats, just how I would want mine to be treated!
Aw she was a bit nervous but did really well bless her
She came round in the end.
What an expressive face, and those blue eyes!
My daughters ragdoll insists on at least 3 brushings a day, she loves being groomed, no mats or trims for Ruby

My cat is a Randall and I love him to death his name is Pepper And he is super loving and affectionate😽
This is so helpful to me and my ragdol thanks
wow you're so good with the cats. Wish there were more people who can do this. Much easier to find Dog groomers where I am than a cat groomer.
Proper pampered princess!
Exactly! Thanks for watching.
What a gorgeous girl!!
She certainly is a stunner 😻
Shes very tolerant most cats woukd freak out
What a good kitty
She's so beautiful I feel the need to curtsey and call her Your Meow-jesty! Very sweet and well behaved too.
Can you recommend what trimmer I require for trimming my cat. It's a raggin Muffin. Thanks
Beautiful cat 🐈

What a smart girl! My Shelby would not be doing great with the trimmer I'm afraid....
She is, she is lovely. A lot of cats actually prefer the clippers than being combed.
This cat looks identical to my ragdoll, it's almost spooky,😳

that cat is a male or female?
She is a female called Penny.
Can you comment on trimmers that work. I have bought a few quiet cordless ones that get jammed with fur immediately. Thanks.

Aaaawwwww
Is it a blue bi color?
No, she is a Blue Lynx

Really ? 😳
Is she available for sale.
Hi Jean, I know my client would certainly not be selling!
