As much as this game tried to be niche as a fever dream induced by 47's dependency on alcohol/pills, it truly set the tone for Hitman as so many players know the series. I am actually disappointed at how the newer titles (while still incredibly fun) lack this particular level of atmosphere. None of them carry the distinctive feeling that while 47 is certainly the most dangerous _man_ in any given map, it seems as if man is never the sole operators of the world. You are always being monitored, 47.
Still the best Hitman to this day in my opinion... the soundtrack for this game is also my favorite out of all the Hitman games as well and I wish they returned to the more serious tone that this game and the other older Hitman games had as well in the new Hitman games as those games just lack the atmosphere that the older games had which made them that much better... also I wish Jesper Kyd returned as well as he never returned to Hitman after Blood Money and they are just not the same without him.

Haven't heard that since I was Silent Assassin-ing the game in my mid teens 😃😄😊🥰 And At Play In The Water Gardens by Zheng Wen is so beautiful, and WAY too short... Pure gem of a soundtrack, fair play to Jesper Kyd and everyone else 🙂

I love Hitman contracts ost and atmosphere better than all others. None had this dark setting and amazing detail. Blood Money comes after as the best hitman game. I will never like the new hitman games as much as I like the classical saga. The new games everyone speaks English even on the other side of the world. Hitman classical had Russian, Romanian, French, Spanish, Bulgarian and other languages.
23:20 it is played when you turn off the heating in Beldingford manor. It is even better when I imagine being disguised as a guard when this track plays. It's different than the regular track "Slaughterhouse".

The Hong Kong version 2 sounds similar but lower pitch? The part after 3:30 of the separate soundtrack sounds like it fits but it misses that dark punch that Version 1 has. Still, the soundtrack remains a masterpiece.

Contracts has a fucking amazing atmosphere yeah, I agree. Blood Money has the best gameplay and SA the best soundtrack.
I dont see nothing wrong with Contracts gameplay. BM just add a few things .First of all it was a huge improvement over frustration called SA

I'm pretty sure Kyd made two versions of the same track but only used V1 in the end.
