Quantum, Please man just do a quick fun Q8FN vs Bravia 9. Just a quick video like you did with the S95D vs Q8FN a few weeks back. I have to see those classic metal wrapped quantum dots go up against Sony's latest and greatest! I bet it will be a shocker.
@@fraddi What do you mean how did he know? It was advertised back then, Google metal clad Quantum dots and you can read actual scientific papers about the technology.
I like TCL a lot for its value, but I've owned all these different brands of TV's. I now own the Sony 85x90L and not just me, but people come over and are blown away by the picture even when I'm playing some old movies(it takes some calibration though). I'll never buy Samsung again. They broke down on me twice!
Great video as always thanks for what you do. I missed out this year on the tv selection this year. But I will be definitely getting a tv from the 2025 lineup. Hopefully these tv manufacturers will learn from mistakes from this year and step it up next year. It will be Samsung, LG and Sony I will be interested in buying. So quantum I will be looking forward to your feedback and calibration results and I’ll be subscribing. In the end I really don’t care which brand it is as long as the tv does what I need it to do for the price I’m willing to pay.
Correct me if i'm wrong but according to google the Bravia 9 has 3 gaming presets: Standard Game FPS game RTS game By default most TV's or monitors with "fps game" preset will have hugely raised black levels so people playing cod can see players in shadows easier; it's not meant to look "good/accurate" but to be advantageous in fps mp games. Would have it not have been a more apples to apples comparison comparing the "standard game" preset default vs the S95D game mode?
Q the cost of your calibration settings is VERY fair and if anything you should charge more. I keep paying my subscription because of your settings service and support your honest reviews. Keep it up.
Thank you for your honest videos. Is there any chance you will compare the bravia 9 to the 7? Im from the uk and we only get the 75inch version of the 9, hoping to get the 7, but need your opinion. Thank you, and keep up the great work.
Off topic of video but do u possibly have updated settings for the new firmware update for s95B ? Also, is s95B day 1 still the best since all these other tv came out? Also you are by far the best in your field brother keep it up
Wtf!!??? 🎉. Haha. I literally said it at the same time!!!!!! Hah! I knew it! I had a feeling you were gonna figure out a way to make the B9 look better!! 🎉 well done!! Thank you! 🎉 the B9 seems even a bit brighter in the lower luminance areas too. 🎉 Ps. Now if only we can could get you to do some HDR settings 😝. Haha. Pps. Now we need to see the diff between they QM8/B9 🎉
Im looking to buy a Bravia 9 85 to replace my 65ZD9. I had the zd9 professionally calibrated and they calibrated both cinema and gaming mode to the exact same settings. Has always looked incredible either watching a film or playing a game. I like the picture to be as natural as possible and how the creator intended. Would it be best to calibrate on professional mode for films?
Samsung full screen brightness is only 282nit vs Sony Bravia 9 776nit so that might explain why Sony looks brighter at a default of 100% brightness on both tv in SDR mode. So it needs to lower brightness of Sony Bravia 9 to 282nit or less to match with Samsung so it can make a more fair comparison in gaming between S95D and Bravia 9. Both TV needs to be at equal brightness.
I know you switched to the S95D but do you still recommend the S90D? I need a 77 inch and the S95D is a little out of my range at that price. Am I losing much with the 90D vs 95D?
Just brightness but most people won't need the brightness... Unless side by side and you to start to notice, but then you have to watch the content that is above 3000nits to notice.. Hence most the 90% of the content you watch will probably be the same in HDR I suppose
The difference is brightness and the extra spice in processing that is rather mind blowing. I can tell the processing difference from my S90C, especially in gaming. Nothing else. The S90D is basically the S95C with a processor that is 80%
They have a tcl q7 2024 on sale for 499 for the 55 inch. I’m thinking about getting one and just keeping it in case something happens to my u8h . What do you think about the? Qm7
The part of the video where you speak about marketing and how companies should not market their TVs with celebs... Best example I can think off is Buggati or Lamborghini. They do not have a single Advertisement. They do not need it... Heck even Tesla spends 0$ on Ads... Lamborghini statement: "We don't do commercials because our target audience isn't sitting around watching TV." Which is a funny thing to quote on a TV reviewers channel but I digress.
@@Quantum_TV So you're saying a whole bright red detailing is not visible in camera but can be visible in real life? If you’re recording with a video camera, the camera settings like exposure, white balance, or even how the camera handles colors could contribute to differences in how each TV is captured. However, if the differences are noticeable to the naked eye without the camera, it's more likely related to the TVs themselves.
You performed another miracle man! Great work making Mini LED do well against QDOLED!
Thanks again! Definitely was hard work

Wow! The best calibratioon. Im waiting for my Bravia 9.
High local dimming really nerfs bright highlights. Try medium, might bloom more but it’s the best setting for a happy medium.
Yeah if brightness is played with, could that reduce blooming as well?
great video Q keep doing what you do
Catching up your story from a lil while ago. Boy this took a turn but I’m happy to see that you’ve made yourself
Do you think there would be a difference in picture quality between the 75 and 85 inch Sony Bravia 9?
So basically TVs should come standard with a QUANTUM Calibrated mode.
I didn't think Bravia 9 could pull it off. How does it compare to the QM8
QM8 is better
@@Quantum_TV you mean b9 better? how qm8 better
@@Kaijaron i think he mean the gaming experience is better on tcl qm8 but for the picture quality and everything else bravia 9 has it beat!
You should also consider reviewing Bravia 7 . It’s almost similar to Bravia 9 just half the price
Wow you did your magic with that Bravia
🤝😁
@Quantum_TV , now that you have both, how about the QM851 vs. the (double the price) Sony Bravia 9? Let’s goooo!
Bravia 9 price is to high but damn after the calibration it looks good
Yeah it is much too expensive in Australia too.
It is night and day with your settings.
Will the calibration on 85inch Bravia 9 be different than the 65 inch one? Want to get Qs settings for B9
Quantum what would be the best 98" tv besides OLED
Do you still believe that the Samsung S95D is the best all around tv?

How the motion in game mode and out of game mode. For Bravia 9
Actually pretty good in performance mode
I'm confused with all these different modes!
Which mode is best to calibrate on the B9 for watching films, Professional or Cinema?
thinking to buy S95D for dark room sometime very dark room still would that matt screen finish gonna bother me ?!
No you'll be ok
i joined. is the bravia 9 settings video up yet? i coudnt see it in the perks.

Hey man, pls what u say on qn95d. will u pls also test this tv?
Is the calibration settings video for the bravia 9 available?
bravia 9 75” cost 9000$ here

in 5:03 I cant even see the RED scribblings properly on the pillars on your setting.
