I really like this new Bard Muse. It is very disney princess-like but I really appreciate that it's a bard that is still musical in theme while offering other theme options for the class!
Absolutely. I hope future class extensions function this way. Based on the theme of the book that they're putting out. Like it would be cool to have a space themed bard.
Those two 8th level feats would probably work really well together. Drop Songbird call on your pet and have it run up to your enemies so they are taking the damage with putting yourself in harms way
Totally agreed. There's also space here for your teammates to work with you and your pet. And another person in the group that has a pet can be used with some of the bard abilities too. I like that they keep creating spaces for teammates to be a part of what you're doing. I like that about Pathfinder.

Your Disney Princess comment got me thinking about a whole Disney Princess themed party and Campaign. So you could have a Human, Royalty, Zoophonia Bard as your Princess; who is maybe on a quest to free her father the king from some evil Wizard or some such. Of course as a Disney Princess she needs her companions; An Awakened Animal of some sort to act as the wise advisor. Perhaps a Druid or Animist. Her faerie protector, the energetic Sprite Swashbuckler. And finally the Poppet who sprung to life from her tears of sadness, to keep her company. Perhaps they are a Thaumaturge seeking answers to their own esoteric existence? I'm gonna keep workshopping this!

@@WisdomCheck Okay I’ll start with the cast. Just a couple of notes however. In most Disney films the focus is generally on one character (usually the “princess”) with all of the other characters supporting her and her story. Naturally that doesn’t work in an rpg where you have a group of players who all want to have equal time in the spotlight and have their own stories matter. So by the very nature of the medium these characters are going to be a little deeper and and more competent than the average Disney side characters. Now on to the cast!
First up, Princess Elspeth
Our Heroine was sent away from her home in the tiny Kingdom of Carthas (For her own protection) to live in a tower in the Kodar Mountains. She was accompanied by her teacher and mentor Madam Rose and was eventually joined by Mister Grin; a stuffed toy from her childhood given life by magical fire who became her lifelong friend, and Sir Simon; an Awakened Bear who helped provide the things this little found family needed to survive.
Elspeth is a naive yet brave young lady who has come to enjoy her powers of song and nature. She is helpful, friendly, charming and protective of those she cares for. Through her studies with madam Rose she is versed in (if lacking practical practice with) all the courtly graces one would expect of a young heir to a throne.
Mechanically I went with the Versatile Heritage; choosing the Pet general feat. Her Pet is a Mountain Squirrel named Chatterbox (every Disney Princess needs a little animal buddy!). I gave her the Natural Ambition feat and chose the Hymn of Healing Class Feat. Her background is Royalty, of course. Finally she is a Bard with the Zoophonia Muse, giving her the ability to make requests of animals as if she spoke their language and possibly have them fulfill her requests! She does this by singing of course.
Her Cantrips are Forbidding Ward, Guidance, Haunting Hymn, Infectious Enthusiasm and Musical Accompaniment.
Her Rank 1 Spells are Charm, Soothe and Summon Animal.
Next up will be Madam Rose.

Hey there's nothing wrong with liking animals.
During this whole video, all I could see was Snow White from Shrek the Third singing her princess song into Led Zeppelin.
HAHHAHA nice.
I was picturing Fiona from the first Shrek when she was singing such a high pitch that the bird exploded.

The only disney movie princesses i know are the one that sings let it go, and the one with the hair buns from star wars, and neither of them really commands animals. I guess you're making an American culture referece?
Might be an age-gap thing. Most all of the disney princess I remember from my childhood sung to, or talked with animals. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Areil are the ones off the top of my head.
I suppose I wouldn't know for certain if they are American culture references or not. But I can tell you that I grew up with Cinderella and Snow White and there were singing birds all over the place.
Ariel in The Little Mermaid also sings and Rapunzel in the Tangled movie sings, Jasmine in Aladdin sings, Mulan, Moana, Pocahontas, Fiona in Shrek....
I don't know maybe this age Gap thing but they're still princesses around the same. So maybe it is American
