The biggest thing I wish I knew as an early player was that finishing the chapters(15 levels) of campaigns opened up a 24 hour quest that reward requisition orders. I have no idea how many of these I missed while blasting through campaigns.
Yeah, "don't take him past gold" is not really noob advice. The other stuff is useful, but you need to be a fair bit into the game to be able to get a character to gold. Plus, he adds some much needed mobility to chaos for events.
Also, if one has no answer for the Dorn Tank and no decent Pierce characters for LREs you aren't just going to sit on a pile of Chaos badges. As for the exp investment (64 or so codexes) Haarken basically makes it all back for players who got him during his tenure as an Arena award char.
Let him kill the guardsmen or the biovore summons and other summons. Within 3 kills he gets scary. Use him to clean up summons and suddenly he’s jacked up on warp juice hitting like +800 with 4x piercing hits with a gun
Good content - very useful for new players and a good reminder for anyone starting a baby account. My personal recommendation would be to let new players know they don’t have to apply upgrades just because a green dot appears. Be really strategic about who you upgrade, especially with badges for abilities as they run out really quickly.
I know haarken isn't great but he's really fun and absurd in niche situations and his passive ability makes an overleveled haarken really fun to play with
1) I have Haarken Worldclaimer almost at D3. He’s great. His active ability sucks, not him. 2) I spent almost all my BS on Requisition orders. I’d do it again. Buy energy for 50 every day and all the remaining BS can go into RO. 3) I got Yarrick the first days of playing Tacticus from RO. He’s great. The Cadian guardsmen are great. Helped me to get through all the Imperial campaigns. 4) I finished basically all campaign missions with G1 characters. Leveling up one of the characters to diamond is actually a terrible idea. You’ll have hard time to keep your low rank characters alive. Maybe you’ll beat the mission, but you won’t be able to raid it for the upgrades later. 5) Very few offers worth it. For money? None. For coins? Common and uncommon upgrades. For BS? Requisition orders and common upgrades (and upgrades crafted only from common upgrades). For credits? Shards for the locked cgaracters and XP books. For Archeotech? Sgards for the locked characters.
Entirely disagree with using bs for requisition It shoukdnbe saved for better purposes Also you proved his point im the video, you say you got him in the early days of tacticus that was 2 yrs ago old man
Okay I hard disagree with one point you made, the octarius elite campaign is super worth getting. Not early on, but you need bionic neural pathways for high level progression and the elite raid is huge for it. I also think you actually can solo most of octarius and the elite if you get snotflogga to diamond, assuming you are being smart and getting his wings quickly (which seems like a far away thing for new players, but trust me when I say it’s worth it for rogue trader). His grots are so beefy, a diamond level snot can do all the work in the campaign besides the missions where you only get to use the core 3. Then you’re kinda stuck
Depends how far you've taken them. You'll need them up to silver for elite campaigns anyway so it's not wasted but going gold and beyond it's a case of 'it depends'. I know draup said his were low bronze but I find mine died to easily at that level that it made advancing more frustrating.
You should almost never regret getting a character up to G1. Pushing past that into legendary/diamond is where you really start wasting resources. So, if you aren't pushing them up past G1 then don't beat yourself up. There's relatively few truly useless campaign characters (Certus, for example)
During farming shards for unlocking Ahriman, I've used 10 scrolls drop and got him, already having over 200 shards, so yes it is possible to get legendary character from the scrolls, but I actually play since Roswitha release event, and it happened once....
Do you have an opinion on whether or not we should be spending our 10 pulls now or wait for the req update? For additional context i'm a new player, around 2 months in.
As a relatively new player I really like HW and he’s one of my highest level characters (S2). I find him useful in arena, but he has limitations and is definitely not end game.
Haarken is definitely good. Mine is D1. I've been constantly using him in the Arena. He keeps winning me battles in the Chapter Master League and often survives till the end. His Active sucks, but I'm not using it (in fact I left it at 10 without any more badges). You _need_ him for the campaign, first because he's simply needed to unlock it and second, because he's needed to deploy in each battle and 25 of them (including the first 13) allow only 3 characters, him being 1 of them and you _can't_ play without him, 3 is the minimum to be deployed. Debunked.
I haven't put much energy or badges into harkinen, but I got a bunch of shards for him so I guess I'm going to use him to get to the rogue trader. I hope that's not too bad of a choice.
Have considered rerolling my account multiple times just because I bought Yarrick instead of Isabella and haven’t gotten her after many pulls. But I’m in too deep for it to really be worth. Omega sadge.
I disagree with the REQ tip. It’s only worth spending BS while you have the new player REQ Buff. X2 chance to summon Epics and Legendary Characters. Otherwise I agree.
What’s the New Player Req buff? Is this a new addition to the game, or do you just man it’s more valuable to do a 10 req when a player has a smaller roster?
Good video, just wished a minute was spend on the WHY. You're addressing newbies, so remember when all your characters were below lvl20. Why is this character bad now and if they are actually not worse than other characters at low lvl then what is their ceiling? And WHY? Give me an example so I can learn and understand. I don't learn from Trust Me and I probably won't understand the deeper intricates of a half hour lecture on char A vs B,C,D at Epic lvls yet but a quick example on WHY would be nice And remember where your target audience are at - gold/diamond lvls are for future me a month down the road (or more?)
Is there anyone that makes content showing approximate minimum requirements for characters (using great strategy) to complete campaigns? For example I was able to get 3 star lvl 60 of Octarius with iron 3 level Orks…
World claimer is represented 2 times in the top 10 of the chapter master league, including the number one spot. You don't know what you are talking about.
the xenos equivalent of digital weapons, and digital weapons itself are the two items I buy for BS. Saves like a whole days worth of farming energy. Probably not worth the 380 or so BS, but worth it to me.

15 levels?
@@YHShinVH levels/battles
Worldclaimer is not a good character for mid to top level, but for low to midlow levels he is great to have for arena, TA and chaos campaigns
He’s a B+ character. Mine is Diamond II. 😂
I’m clearly a fan but he’s definitely not that good.

I use him in arena. Together with edryon he can be extremely useful to even kill characters way above his level.

I've been playing for a while and find it hard to resist the green tbh 😅
But it's good advice
"Nah, I've got over 100 legendary xenos badges, they'll last forever"
*two weeks later*
"where.... where did all my badges go?"
I know haarken isn't great but he's really fun and absurd in niche situations and his passive ability makes an overleveled haarken really fun to play with
i want Haarken's 40k model, his character has amazing lore.
Isabella also makes Imperium Onslaught mindnumbing easy with 2-3 high armor tanks around her. Tanks high diamond nids with ridiculous ease.
Ehhh one shotting calgar or bellattor with haarken is a pleasure in life i couldn't resist no regrets.
I def agree to this lol
He's a good assassin

Daily black stone for me to convert in to extra energy every day = faster progress
Thanks for the video. Still struggling surviving 3 man elite campaigns but I'll push aleph and bellator a little further
both D3 is usefull

new in the game, seems cool...subbed, thx for content
Very well said. I don’t regret yarrick because I’m a fanboy. Wish I had Isabella though.
This video is six months late for me. I fall into all the previous traps until I finally learned to play
Thank you I was over investing in the chaos guy and plan to upgrade the healer
Finally someone with the balls of saying that Yarrick sucks hard now, I got flamed so much for saying that in discord and reddit
I'm lvl 42 and Yarrick is my main, you just don't use him properly
My Haarken is the reason, I'm almost at the rogue trader at level 37
I made him g3 and max star him because I was chasing archeotech and then they moved him off arena rewards just after very painful
New to the game...love WH 40K...its cool..subbed...RustCole in the game
The only thing i make haarken d1 cuz he's giving me nightlords vibes hehe
I haven't put much energy or badges into harkinen, but I got a bunch of shards for him so I guess I'm going to use him to get to the rogue trader. I hope that's not too bad of a choice.
Agree with everything but Yarrick, I love Yarrick so much
Got Isabella and Jaeger from reqs (both are my beloved characters), reqs did nothing wrong to me so I buy them every time I can :)
Gotta love it when all the vid criticism is just people proud of falling into these traps.
Have considered rerolling my account multiple times just because I bought Yarrick instead of Isabella and haven’t gotten her after many pulls. But I’m in too deep for it to really be worth. Omega sadge.
All excellent points. Hope the noobies are taking notes.
Yoo leave my boy Haarken alone! He does fall of from a cliff, but he was there in the beggining when noone else was doing anything.
watching this as I just used all my gear to upgrade haarken above all my other chaos characters😢

My D3 bluestar Haarken says otherwise😅
Yeah, I love my maxed Haarken. Jumping around onslaught reaching 4x 4000 damage.

Благодарю. Хорошее видео. 👍
thank u neurothrope
Hehe, Yarrick has carried me in basically all modes. But from level 50, he is getting less and less useful.
Isabella is better yes, I got both 😅
I agree!!
I got Calgar with Reqs, since then I'm always disappointed haha
Just saying someone is not good is just an opinion without data to back it up.
yep i did all of the mistakes. imma do a new acc now haha
World claimer is represented 2 times in the top 10 of the chapter master league, including the number one spot. You don't know what you are talking about.
Top 10 of CML are veterans, day 1 player giga whales, of course they have most characters maxed
Using that as your metric for how good a character is definitely proves that someone has no idea what they're talking about.

never buy for BS but for gold in the shop (with ad refresh) it doesnt hurt to take a couple of days longer to upgrade units
Full sheeet in video
12 minutes of stretching points that could be made in 30 seconds. Gj I guess.
Don't buy yarrik? In the beginning ur off ur rocker
