  • This is just an other comparison of most of my Sopranos I use/own currently.
    Brüko S001 2021, maple
Brüko Longneck Soprano 2023, wild maple
Peter Geerdts Soprano, 2021, tasmanian blackwood/maple
    1950s Martin Style 0, mahogany
    Dirk Jungbluth Soprano 2023/24, spruce/rosewood
    Brüko special model, 2000s, cedar/rosewood
Brüko longneck soprano, 2021, mahogany low low a
    Brüko Pineapple Soprano, 2021, spruce/rosewood low g
    Brüko S001, 2022, maple
    I like them all.
The 2021 S001 and pineapple, the longneck maple and the Dirk Jungbluth (new) are my most used live ukuleles.

So fascinating to hear the subtle differences but all beautiful. Very mood related which I guess might explain why most ukuleles players have a collection. Amazing playing. Thank you

I love all of them, Jan. But the pineapple and the wild maple are my favorites

I think the pineapple is quite versatile, but I really like the all white maple - very Ohta-San sound for my ears

      Thank you for reaching out.
Which of the both S001 maple models do you mean? The first one or the later displayed?
      Best, Jan

I always enjoy these videos! The ceder top seems curious on the inside, is that an extra piece of wood (normally the brüko logo is visible there). Around 3:07.

Indeed. I guess it is because it is a flat back which always has a bracing there and because the rosewood is a dark wood.
All my other Brükos have the arched back and no bracing on that side.
Thank you and best to you,
      Jan😊

Lovely ukulele collection and playing! Do you keep the stock pyramid strings on your brükos? If not, what strings are you using? Thanks!

      Thank you very much.
I sometimes leave those Pyramid strings on or keep going with those. The longnecks have them in the video (besides the low g/a strings on the mahogany). Otherwise I use Hannabach Goldin soprano strings on Brükos with pleasure.
Also do I use Christopher Davis-Shannon's "The Tinman's Magic Ukulele Strings" (like on the Pineapple, but with a low g).
I never understood the (let's say)"bashing" against the Pyramid flourcarbon strings anyways. I've purchased some Sets for myself for the longnecks and other models too and always keep the swapped Sets for back up.
      But that's just me.
      Thanks for asking.

Thanks for your reply Jan! I’ve just bought a pair of Brükos recently and absolutely love them. I’m not finding the pyramids so bad but wanting to experiment a bit with other strings so was curious what you’d found with yours. I think I will try some Hannabach Goldin strings on one of my Brükos to see how they sound. So sad that these wonderful Brükos will no longer be made! Thanks again and best wishes, Sarah

@@sarahrichards4484 thank you very much. They definately are a recognizable instrument/ukulele brand with quite world wide reaching (at least back in the days).
Enjoy yours. Happy strumming and a good week.

Is the second ukulele an all-maple Uke?

    • @JanHaasler
      @JanHaasler  Месяц назад

Hello there, yes, besides the fret board it is. It is a special "wild" maple (it has grown a bit spinned).
Did you mean the Brüko longneck (maple)?
      Best, Jan
