Long over due, can't wait. Standard length handles pretty good for an MT but I find on the odd occasion it likes to bite in on those long fast power slides and toss its self over.
Im so mixed on this, will deffo improve cornering stability, but will it lower the tank like durability that we all love in the Xmaxx - i guess only one way to find out 😂😂
cool option. the old non-wide xmaxx already handles like a dream though and never really rolls over. i do have trouble carrying the xmaxx through the doorway, this widemaxx is gonna be interesting.
I have the wide kit on my maxx and it definitely needed it. However I'm not sure if the X Maxx needs it. I will probably buy it anyway but it's already pretty stable cornering. Depending on tires and the driving surface of course. If someone has a comparison video I'd love to see it. Awesome none the less!
@@DanHovarter would have to agree.... but I like my trucks minty clean when I'm not playing with them... wash them down when I'm done, try to blow them off... but the water is hard on bearings..
I Sincerely Love the notion that the Xmaxx is its Own Man type thing. As if it has got itself a Widemaxx kit fitted.and then decided to go an rip the jumps up for some thrills. Not seeing an Operator makes that much better too. Very cool. I have three Xmaxxes and One of them will be getting the Full widemaxx treatment for sho!!!!!
Epic I was just thinking ‘traxxas has a weekly schedule now and it’s been 7 days’ but just thought Maybe not because they did two last week but no they pull out this beast
I have been waiting for this ever since I got my big rig🤩 I think I mentioned a WideX kit on one of my vids about 2 years ago, hope I helped make this reality😅 Thank you Traxxas🙏🤘
Very cool, but possibly could be more prone to breakage. Time will tell. Maybe use the regular arms for extreme bashing, and these for racing type driving. We’ll see.
It seems that a lot of people have forgotten that the 8s is the V2. You just now can get a wide kit from traxxas. This is just an upgrade for your V1(6s) or V2(8s). What would be nice is a 1/4th scale XMaxx.
I feel like Traxxas may come out with a V2 xMaxx. I've said in the past they should make a wide kit for it👏🏽... Maybe a 3/4" to 1" longer chassis, 1/2" wider chassis, reliable esc, stronger motor..🤔 Oh also better/improved tires👍🏾 Make every color body available (black, red, yellow, green, orange, blue and rock n roll etc..) My xMaxx has been through a lot😕 I like how they state pro driver on closed course, do not attempt. Most of us on here have done worse than those jumps/turns in our skate parks 😅
@@1RcSteve it it’s an absolute junk truck. I have over 30 cars/ trucks and 12 of which are Traxxas and the x maxx is possibly the weakest of the bunch. I have had nothing but bad luck with mine. Ive been in this hobby for 19 years now and it’s a great truck in concept but the execution just isn’t there. The widening kit will make it even more fragile due to leverage and distance the wheels are from the truck torquing on pieces.
@@Sackmatters you probably just don’t know how to drive and land properly. I, along with friends have been running mine plenty. It only breaks when you land hard and wrong. Otherwise, it’s most definitely the toughest rc made to date. Brush up on your Kevin Talbot videos
Nice vid but is this something what X-Maxx needs really? For my opinion it looks nicer on original wideness but maybe that change when seeing this set on live. But good that Traxxas offer different options for customer 👍
Dear Traxxas Team, I am writing to inform you of a problem I have had with my Traxxas Xmaxx ultimate model. I have tried everything, but I can't get the Traxxas Link application to give me more than 6V or 7V. I have the Link module and 4S batteries, and I don't know what to do. Could you help me? Thanks in advance, Mario
Super basic. Just how 8S X-Maxx comes out of the box, except it has the wide kit on it and the springs are pre-loaded to about half way down the threads on all 4 shocks, with the bigger jumps extra pre-load helps with the impact a lil bit, AND it tends to make it easier to Wheelie and flip (Not As good for corners, but with the Wide kit... not a problem LOL)
So I've been saying this since the beginning when this truck came out!! The wfo kit was 700 bucks!! If this truck comes out with the arms installed and a little bit longer chassis I'll buy it for the 1k asking price.
Why did traxxas go away from the very nice inboard shock arrangement they designed for the E-Revo? It was so nice and tunable (also protected from crashes).
Its not a "go away" situation, its more like an upgrade too. The Revo's/Summit/etc are in a higher price range than those using the regular shock configuration. If they put them on everything then they wouldnt be able to sell 30+ different kinds of vehicles setup all kinds of ways like they do now.
That is a bad boy! Seems extremely stable! Thank you Traxxas for bringing this to us 😃
You called it bad boy
While I called it BIG WIDE BOIIIIII!!!!
Thank you Traxxas!! That’s gonna make the Xmaxx so much more Stable and Basically Unstoppable!!
For sure it will. I didn’t think I would see you here Nolan.

No exaggeration, the best RC to ever go into production.

It’s not often I would roll the Xmaxx. Unless cornering high speed in grass or pavement . otherwise it just slides and drifts in my opinion.
Not needed. And those longer driveshafts are going to bend even easier than the stock ones on big jumps. MHO
@@joseCalderon1976 it'd also going to lose a lot of durability
