  • In this video I go through the basics of animation in Blender 2.82. I cover animatable properties, keyframes, actions and the graph editor. I hope you enjoy, and learn something!
Regarding the philosophy bit at the end, Echart Tolle's book "The Power of Now" is definitely must read! It's been a transformative experience reading that book, and already it's helped to lessen the negative effects of ego's in my life (my own one included..).

Came here for blender, stayed for philosophical contemplation. Great channel, and great content. I really appreciate your deep philosophical contemplation at the end. Really refreshing! Keep it up!

Thank you! It's always nice to hear that the non-blender stuff is also appreciated :)

Of all the Blender animation tutorials I've watched, this is the first to talk about animation Actions is such a way that I actually understand both what they are and how they relate to the NLA editor. Thanks. Something else I appreciate about this video:
"Let's get straight into it." Gotta wish more people would do that.

Thanks for the feedback! It's really good to know that the content works as intended :) The action system is something I struggled with when starting out, so I wanted to spend a little time trying to explain it..

Nice tutorial. Been rendering a simple cube spinning today in cycles, what a giant pain in the arse even with a good PC. The cube looks good though 😂
