I was going to post the same. The Mini obeyed the Highway Code, the sleepy head in the car behind wasn't looking at the road situation. It doesn't matter if the compiler considered that the Mini should have moved, or "not stopped". The law is the law. They stopped for the pedestrian, as per, and there was sufficient space for the following vehicle to brake, IF the sleepy blonde had been both driving and THINKING. And I just saw that the rear-ender was driving a TOYOTA, that doesn't say much about her intelligence. Never trust the driver of a Japanese or Korean vehicle.

They all practically said the same thing, the driver who can see what's going on in front of him...is to blame. I queried scenarios like you suggested about somebody entering your lane and they said the onus is on you to slow down and recreate a safe gap. If somebody stops in front of you you have to manage a safe distance to completely stop as well I'm not suggesting no blame would be put on the other driver. Anyhow that's what I was told, and if that's wrong bollox to it, I've retired. I agree dashcams will play a bigger role in sorting claims out. I expect dashcams will be factory fitted in the future. In one case, there's even a level crossing which has a junction before it, and a box junction was added in retrospectively for the junction with very little space between the crossing stop line and the box junction, leaving enough space for a single car, guess lorries and buses don't matter much then hey

That HGV in clip #46 at 24:55 has probably burst an air line. The HGV brakes are air-operated, and air pressure OPENS the brake. That's a safety feature, so that a parked vehicle with a leaky air system won't release its parking brake by itself over time. So if you happen to lose air pressure on a brake, it will engage at full tilt.
So I know what the HGV driver was doing: nothing. His brake lights didn't go on, so he wasn't braking, and his front wheels kept spinning normally. It was obviously a mechanical failure, and he couldn't have done anything to prevent it. Thankfully, everyone seem to have lived.

He then has to look left before he can start the manoeuvre. He doesn't have to judge the Golf's speed, but possibly he has assessed the speed of the camcar and not seen the Golf ( it wasn't in the correct road position) and anyway speeding doesn't give you right of way!
Assuming the cam car was close to the speed limit, you can see his right turn was safe based on how close the cam car was to the incident. I believe the Golf is doing 20mph over the camcar so that is 50 in a 30. Way too fast!
The Golf has also overtaken in the short distance between two bollards that is hashed. The authorities really don't want people to overtake there! So it's not just speeding, it's excessive speeding and reckless driving.
Finally the emerging driver has seen the Golf and stopped, so he made the continuous observation.

Fabulous selection of foul ups. Britain's roads are fast becoming very dangerous and the police seem not interested.
Take care out there Folks and get wherever you are gong safely.

No 102, by HMS Sultan. I spent much of my Naval Career there, and it can be a bit of a pain with people crossing for sure.

There really ARE a massive amount of bad drivers out there , dash cam highlights them . But some with dash cams play devils advocate , by making something out of nothing . Shame the police don't get to deal with the worst footage . I constantly ask myself , why do other drivers when in a queue , park SO CLOSE to the car in front , if that car rolled back or stalled , they would rear end it . I leave a car length , incase I need to pull round to pass , or I , get rear ended by a bad driver .

2:47 The Mini was in the right, the car behind was traveling way to fast and wasn't paying attention, to not apply the brakes with such an unobstructed view Infront of them I can only assume they were probably messing with a mobile phone.

From what I’ve seen from these videos and over 5 years of driving so far, the cars that are being driven by bad drivers are (but not limited too)
    Any BMW, Mercedes or Audi
    Peugeots (specifically 2000’s Peugeots)
    Taxis
    And Van Drivers

2:47 The Mini should not have stopped period. That red light wasn't for them, they were already over the solid line that light system is controlling. I do see this happening a lot, I'm not sure what they are taught these days.

#7 looks like they've mistaken the repeater light. The clip starts part way through the junction so it's difficult to tell it's the repeater light but I can't see a solid white stop line in front of it which means that light doesn't apply to those vehicle now and they should've continued through. This is why the cammer wouldn't have easily anticipated the mini stopping because it wasn't supposed to.

As a retired professional driver, from artics to vans to jcb to chauffeuring my boss. I am appalled by the poor even dangerous standard of driving in this video.

#64 Claimed to be coming around the corner at about 25mph.
I think he needs to get his eyes and his speedometer checked. That was way faster than 25.

9:19 - It is so glaringly obvious that the van is going to cut in front of the car with the camera in. That is evident from the moment the clip starts. There was plenty of distance to brake, so why was it such a close call? The second you see that situation developing, regardless of who is right or wrong, you take steps to reduce the risk - in this case, brake while there is time. To pull out and overtake the way they did afterwards as well was really agressive and totally unnecessary.
