Wow! Thanks for the locations! What a blessing! Finding the right spot is THE MOST DIFFICULT part of fishing from the shore! Praying for your work situation!
Ha I g trouble locating the flounder gigging spot btwn aransas pass and ferry’s guess I’ll hv to drive there next time I’m down there. Thanks fir sharing the spots with us I love flounder gigging it don’t know where to go now I do I’m 63 and that’s my favorite getaway thing to do thanks again
I’ve been a subscriber for awhile. I’ve seen you a few times down on the beach. Keep the videos coming. However, the locals, would probably appreciate no specifics when it comes to fishing spots. Thankfully you only gave away exact location of one of my go to spots. 😎😉 Note: it’s illegal to gig blue crab. Also, a dead crab is a bad crab. If blue crab is dead before you start cook prep, throw it out. Another note: you’re only seeing about 1 out of every 5 flounder with any above water light source. Most of them will completely disappear unless you have an underwater light. I have some video showing how you can’t even see them with above water light. Again, I’m not trying to be a Karen. 👍
It that legal for gigging the flounder fish in Corpus Christi ? Also, I heard about the Sand trout season will coming on September. I have a plan go to Corpus Christi in The Labor’s day Sep 2024. Would you advise me where is the good spot for fishing the sand trout ? Thanks
Been frog gigging back in the day with my hillbilly cousins in Kentucky! Any specific area of the flounder you want to aim for? And good luck with getting back to work bud! Gotta make the money for peace of mind.
@@texasbeachbum I wouldn’t go flounder gigging in 15mph in the flats. Besides wind, the waves in Texas surf would be annoying I would think while trying to pinpoint a flounder.
@@southtexasoutdoor5484 that part in the flats where we got the flounder was 15 mph winds and you could see the bottom clearly. the surf if water clarity is 5 or more you can see the rays and flatboys in the surf
Great information and thanks for the safety tips keep up the great videos enjoy your take on all 👍

You really hit it out the park with this video 🤘🤘🤘
Flounder gigging looks like fun
Good areas. Great job on the video!
Don't forget to shuffle your feet when wading saltwater! It gets those rays to scoot away harmlessly. They do not like being stepped on😂
Good info. Never thought about gigging in the surf. I'll have to try that
good at night when winds are low and water clarity is 5 or above
cool .. I kinda lost my spot in matagorda area.... so I may try down by corpus sometime
Thanks, so good to have a local .
Keep your head up
Keep doing great 👍

I love your video clip.
Thanks.
You can only gig non gamefish so it’s illegal to gig flounder
Great video. Crabs must be minimum of 5 inches
Yup, and don’t gig them.
You can gig crabs
Yo bro I'm digging the more informative videos

I'm remembering my days in GA I'm there with you brother.
Do you have trouble with sharks? I always avoid fishing at night, could you tell us how you avoid them while fishing at night?
Just don't use any cut bait during the day or night. Use shrimp, crab, fish bites, and small baits.
Know any land based guides?
I like that you don’t fix your lips for little old youtube and all of these unattended children 😂🫡
Gigging in the surf? Maybe in Florida 😆
you can do it here as well lots of flounder in the surf zone. You just need water clarity a 5 or above and winds of 15 or less 10 the best

I get 3-5 every time gigging in surf on TX coast. When it’s clear enough.
Why don’t you do some paid fishing guides? Seems like you know the area
I have to get a permit first then I might start out surf fishing
