I remember when Horace Caldwell pier went out tw8ce as far as it does now. At one time, it was advertised as the "Longest pier on the Gulf Coast" . Then in 1970, the pier was heavily damaged by Huricane Celia, and it was rebuilt as a much shorter version. The pre 1970 Horace Caldwell pier went out about as far as the jetties did, and had two sets of T-heads. I saw a lot of huge kings, jacks, and sharks caught off of the end of that pier back then.
Back in the late 1960's, we use to spend the night out on the very end of the pier as our parents fished and fished and fished. We loved it more than anything! We would walk between the jetty and the pier, getting our sun tans and picking up shells and Sand Dollars! Port Aransas is STILL my all time favorite beach, even with the unfavorable changes going on now. Charlie's Pasture will never be the same either 😢
We did show up in numbers to ensure the two pylon design was adhered to, but it wasn't just for us.The dual pylon design creates better habitat for fish as well as deeper guts which are beneficial for both of us. We want a pier that serves the local population first, and the tourists second. Good to see ya back up on the Tube! Fish on🤙🏼
Thanks for putting together this video for piers around Corpus Christi. This has helped me plan a few trips. Recently bought a small bay boat so I’m always looking for hidden gems such as sheltered boat ramps. Hit me up sometime for some fishing on the boat. One of your comments was about how you’d like to get out on a boat and do some fishing. Tight Lines 🎣
Just went to Fulton Pier with family before school started for kids. Love the beach area. Saw dolphins come to pier and kept distance out from time to time. Pier fishing was OK. Green lights under Pier, lights up water. Very nice late night-early morning. Thank for additional spots for our next visit

Great video. Fulton Pier is my kids favorite pier. Fulton bait stand (yellow bait shop) always has excellent bait. My 9yr old landed a massive black drum off of Horace Caldwell. Looking to hit up Red Dot this week. Thanks for the tips my friend. Happy fishing!
Thanks for taking me back, I grew up in Portland and that's 3rd generation Indian Point which is definitely in Portland city limits. I was kinda shocked to see what was left of Bob Hall, I haven't been there since mid 90s but fished there and Horace Caldwell starting in the early 70s
Man I've never been to Horace Caldwell, but it looks so similar to the Bob Hall Pier setup before the hurricane. I may go there instead for the nostalgia of old Bob Hall. Thank you for this!
Man, this video was Awesome. So very happy and excited for Indian Point pier. Been waiting for it to be finished . Can't wait to go fishing on it. I'd say that is the Best one. Thanks again man.
Finally a channel that can help me figure out how to fish in Corpus been here for 6 years and I have only caught about 5 fish get skunked every time. Don't have access to a boat or kayak so I gotta fish from shore. Been to Red Dot to many times to count with zero fish. You are right Red Dot is usually packed on the weekends and the noise from the Hi-way is super annoying.
Fulton Pier I've caught all my PB Big Uglies. Red Dot PB trout. Living in San Antonio I highly rely on 3 of your recommendations to land descent fish!!!
Im the guy that said I dont like A-holes with loud cars! I just THANKED you 5$ for this video, and I really did enjoy it! Im going to be there in about 30 days, in November for a week or so. Hopefully Ill get into some Pomp and whiting action.
NICE VIDEO SIR! Thank you very much on the updates on the piers. I grew up on that water. It's amazing what Corpus did with Cole Park and Indian Point. Its been years since I've been there. (I am 54 years old now and remember sleeping on those piers with my brothers for days on end waiting on that big run). TOO MANY trips and memories since the 70s. Fixing to make a run to Corpus this weekend to see my family. 1st stop, Cole Park to chunk a nice piece of mullet out. Maybe next time you are down there, you can comment and show the history behind OSO pier.
Somehow I came across your Utube on your best fishing piers. I really enjoyed it. I have now subscribed to your channel. Do you take people fishing? I was raised in Aransas Pass but only returned to visit family. Most all are gone now. I would like to go fishing on a pier or surf but I need supplies. Will you tell me type fishing gear I would need? I sure would appreciate it!!! Happy fishing!!!!
My favorite pier are Red Dot causeway pier but don't like it when it gets packed. Conn Brown pier is another one of my favorite. The bigger piers like Horace Caldwell Fulton pier indian point I haven't fished there and Cole Park too many tourists walking the pier. I'm a tourist to from San Antonio but I go to fish the pier but it's too many people walking by when you're trying to cast your fishing pole.
Really appreciate the video. Just had first pier fishing experience at Horace Caldwell and loved it. Looking forward to checking out the other ones. Thanks, bro, love your show.
Went to Indian point pier this past Friday and fished the bank. My wife caught a hardhead and I caught a 15 or 16 inch redfish that I let go using Dead shrimp. Saturday night went to causeway pier and red dot pier were packed didn't catch anything to many poles in the water but I did see someone catch a good size speckled trout and a drum I had a couple bites on Dead shrimp but didn't hook up on anything ended up leaving.
Forgot... Indian Point Pier was WELL redon!!! Beautiful and built for the people. First pier we hit traveling from Kansas City and had a blast!!! No PB, but have to experiment with bait and rig.
The metal bars on the bench help prevent homeless people or transients from sleeping and taking over the benches day or night. Bus stops are implementing them on their benches, also.
Thanks a lot for your spots ......they will help a lot when I'll be around since am driving from Québec Canada. What do you think february and March fishing there from pieds and from à unflatable 10 ft long.. Does it make sense bring it along or not ? Thanks Claudio
February should be good for fishing. March the winds start to pick up so you might have rough surf with water clarity pretty bad. The best fishing months are from late September through February when the surf is calmer on some days and the water is clearer. The bays you should be good to go just the wind in March

Corpus is really missing out on a great opportunity for a pier like the pleasure pier in Galveston.. a pier like that between Cole park and the American bank center would be awesome
To many tourist go to Cole park pier. The only thing we caught was a little whiting we got bites but didn't Hook anything big it's must have been small fish.
Harbor Park pier I fish there a long time ago. On the left hand side that corner I casted towards that sign in the water. Something hit my pole by the time I reacted it was too late I got distracted by talking to people that were fishing in the front so I was too far away from my pole to grab it In time.
