I had a coworker who had to take a taxi to work because her car broke down. The first day she was late. Okay whatever. But she was always late after that which was annoying. And she wasn't just five to ten minutes late. So that got old. But occasionally things happen.

On one of the first classes, I noticed a mistake and asked her to clarify how she got the answer she did when I got a completely different one. She didn't get defensive at all, just went back over her work, caught her mistake, and ended up with the answer I got. She thanked me for pointing it out to her, and pulled me aside after class to tell me she was really thankful that I was willing to do that. Just that simple humble interaction completely changed my mindset on math, and it ended up being my favorite class out of all my ged classes.
