  • weak spot of all vespa engines = small half, only 1,5-2,5 sealing face at the kickstart sprocket. its recommended to take a lot of care to exactly this weak spot if you close the eninge. often the crank here sucks oil from the gearbox.
and no, oil in the crank case is NOT normal, its wrong and the sign that there is an oilsucker. the explanation is NOT that it is a 2stroke engine, they are also nearly dry, if you open a healthy one, only a small oil film is allowed. NOT that oil is dripping from cylinder, piston and crankshaft.
    an old and logical problem
unfortunately not wide spread in online vespa knowledge...
oil sucker causes blowback btw ;)

Man I absolutely like your videos and the passion but PLEASE consider changing the color of the text (most of the time its damn hard to read, the text blurs with the background color) or at least use a white outline for it, since most of the pics you put in the background are dark-ish. Also, consider keeping the same pic+text on the screen for a couple more seconds. If its too long we can always skip forward, but in this case its too short and having to pause on every single text to read it is a pain.
Just a tip, and as always thank you for the amazing work!

Actually the first part (red text) is really nice and easy to read. The second part is harder cos of the weird color :)

sir, my exhaust has thick white smoke, then my clutch makes a sound like a dry clutch. But I haven't split the engine, is it seal damage or oil sucking? Then there is oil coming out of the nut next to the ignition timing setting.

Hello fmp, have a question about a px200 engine i am building.
The cilinder is an aluminium malossi (207) and the problem I have is too much white smoke.
Could be the cilinder has to heat up, but I suspect or an oil sucker or bad clutch side seal.
What do you think oil sucker or clutch side seal?

can be combined but usually a lot of engjnes have oilsuckers

Please make a vedio about spark plug reading.

the thing is, i never read spark plugs, i set the carbs by experience and by the feeling... but i will see, perhaps with my own M244

hey.. I saw that u used the red silicone sealant. Is it a quick dry sealent? I use grey slow dry silicone on the case. It is a bit time consuming but it will make a better bond on the case.

no i use grey dirko, never the red. thats an engine someone else. made

mista FreakMoPed oh.. Maybe those type of gasket is not so suitable for sealing vespa case. the sealant will harden very fast and it will make uneven thickness. and maybe that is the root of the sealant sliding out of the surface.

Good info once agaiin 🖒 do you have a video to modified/porting std piston and cylinder for better power?

      200cc for instance: ruclips.net/video/LST6yogCzEs/видео.html

mista FreakMoPed is it possible to fit this PX 200 block and piston into sprint 150 crank case? If can than would the porting are still the same?

no its not. with the 125 or 150cc kit you can do: removing all edges, optimizing piston and cylinder, cyl timings, intake timings, exhaust port and -shape.
i am just preparing a new guide "0,- vespa tuning / rotary valve FINE tuning" where all of this will be shown
i do have an old 125 cylinderkit and could optimize it for including pictures, no prob ;)

or i could also even make a separate 125/150cc opzimizing guide, good idea thx! will do so :)
