    Nice video, I always use 400ml for my P150XE because 500ml sometimes over flow from the clutch cover hole

    Is there any argument for or against increasing the oil capacity above the notional 200ml?

    If filling to much does it affect the clutch bathing? Drown gears maybe had a low splashing effect and the splash cant reach the clutch...is it logical?😅 Just asking...btw thanks for the engine sacrifice....

      My guess: the more oil the more oil wind/fog

    hello sir, is it possible to add 350ml of gearbox oil through the original inlet or do i have to add it through the clutch area? thank you sir

    Had to replace clutch arm lever as mine was chewed up and single Oring kept leaking. So Installed new clutch lever with two Orings. Thought i might aswell try this different oil whilst im at it. Replaced oil with 80w90gl4 about 400ml. Now can't set clutch, have 2mm at lever and and all seems to be operating fine, but can't move freely in 1st when clutch pulled in, if I adjust cable any tighter I get no kick start. When scooter is on putting in 1st gets a little jump and feels like it's pulling with clutch fully engaged. Super weird, maybe it's the thicker oil not upto temperature or not made it to the plates yet and they sticking? Does anyone know if you can remove the clutch cover with oil in the scooter still?

    Hi Mista, does gearbox oil also lubricate the clutch on the vespa classic?
    and also what is the viscosity value for vespa classic gear oil? thanks

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 года назад +2

      yes it does. instead of overpriced stoneage sae30 of course (like with 2 stroke oils) modern gearbox oils can be used. Original linings 75/80/90 api gl4. With honda linings: 10w40 mineral. Or seminhydraulic motorbike oil.

      @andreasugara 3 года назад +1

      @@FreakMoPed8 you mean original lining vespa clutch using 80w90 GL4?
      Even though the oil is actually intended for gears and not for wet clutches, is it still good?
      Thank you for your answer brother.

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 года назад +1

      Works fine, yes 👍
      The thing with the old sae30 is that it gets very fast thin and has to exchanged often. On top of that its quite expensive if you compare. Modern oils dont get thin so fast and needs to be exchanged less therefore

      @@FreakMoPed8 ahh thank you so much brother.
      You answered my doubts all along, and I decided to use Castrol 80W90 GL4 (usually this oil is used for trucks and cars) because finding SAE30 oil in Indonesia is very difficult.

    • @FreakMoPed8

      Two different separate things gearbox and twostroke oil.
      Regarding honda clutch linings, Lets listen to honda, what they recommend for their bikes.
      honda GN4 or HP4 standard, which means mineral or semisyntetic 10W30 or 10W40 motorbike oil for oil bath clutch with JASO MA spec, the latest one is MA2.
      Original clutch linings u use gl4/5 gearbox oil w75-90

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  4 года назад

      Gearbox oil is separate from. The cylinder at a two stroke. It depends on the clutch linings whats needed. Not on the 2/4 stroke.
